Metropole Hotel - בריסל

שהיינו שם 3 ימים בזמן שהיינו בבריסל- מאוד קרוב לכל האתרים ההיסטוריים ותחבורה ציבורית. החדר היה נקי, הצוות היה מאוד ידידותי, דיבר אנגלית מצוינת, וארוחת הבוקר הייתה טעימה. בהחלט אשהה שם שוב.

ה-Metropole הוא מלון יפה,במרחק הליכה קלה מהעיר העתיקה והמסעדות של St Catherine. הצוות מאוד ידידותי, דובר אנגלית מצוינת. הדבר היחיד שאומר הוא שהאוכל מאוד יקר במלון ! 10 € למנת צ'יפס ו- €24 להמבורגר וצ'יפס !! והמסעדה המרכזית הינה בסביבות €80 לארוחה עם 3 מנות. אבל ישנם הרבה מקומות אחרים לאכול בהם.

הייתי במלון לילה אחד. הייתי מאוד מרוצה.

החדרים המשופצים היו נחמדים, אבל לא כל החדרים עברו שיפוץ. הלובי גורם לציפיות גבוהות אבל החדרים לא עומדים בהן. השירות היה טוב.

קשה להאמין איך המלון הזה שמר על 5 כוכבים. הוא כנראה היה המלון ( בה' הידיעה ) בזמנו אבל כרגע דהוי. עבר הרבה זמן מאז ששהיתי במלון ללא שעון בחדר ובלי שהצלצול המעורר יתבצע כמתבקש. אין שקעים נוספים למחשבים וצוות שמתעלם משלטי לא להפריע ויותר איפיונים שישלחו אותי למקום אחר בפעם הבאה בבריסל.

מלון ה- Metropole הוא מקסים ומאוד נקי. בהחלט נותן הרגשה של אירופה-" העולם הישן" . החדר שלנו היה יפה ומאוד נוח. הצוות היה מאוד ידידותי ועוזר. הוא גם במיקום מושלם שכן הוא ממש במרכז העיר. יכולנו ללכת לברים נהדרים ומסעדות ממש בשכונה. אני בהחלט אשהה ב- Metropole בפעם הבאה שאני בבריסל. אני ממליץ בחום שתשהה כאן.

יתרונות: מרהיב, מלון מתחילת המאה ה-20 מרהיב, נהדר ומעוצב יפה. מיקום שנוח להגיע אליו עם תחנת מטרו ממש מחוץ לדלת הקדמית. כשלושה אנשים שמטיילים יחד מצאנו מחיר מוזל ב-Hotels dot com. שני החדרים היו מאוד גדולים (באופן בלתי רגיל למרבית המלונות האירופאיים). מזנון ארוחת בוקר מפואר עם קפה נהדר! בירה, קולה ומים סופקו כל יום- בחינם- במיני בר שבחדר (הפתעה נוספת). שירותים מרווחים עם אמבטיה לשניים חסרונות: אין מראה בחדר השינה או באזור הישיבה. מיקום המיטה בחדר 156 הוא בצמוד לחדר הכושר והרעש של משקולות נופלות התחיל ב-6 בבוקר.

שהייתי ב-3 חדרים שונים. הראשון היה קטנטן ובקושי היה אפשר לפתוח את המזוודה. כמו כן היה מאוד חם כל הזמן. השני היה קצת גדול יותר אך ללא נוף. החדר השלישי היה חדר אמיתי, מאוד מרווח ועם נוף לרחוב. מיקום טוב, תוך 10 דקות מ- Grand Place ואפשר ללכת ברגל למוזיאונים החשובים. ארוחת בוקר נהדרת ואזורים ציבוריים נהדרים. ממליץ מאוד.

זאת הייתה השהות השלישית שלי ואני אוהב את המלון הזה. הבר/בית קפה הוא סיבה מספיק טובה להתאכסן. העיצוב של סוף המאה ה-19 של The Metropole' הופך להיות נדיר בעולם המודרני שלנו, המלון הוא מקום נהדר כדי לקחת הפסקה מהמאה ה-21. אם אתם מכירים את מלון Milwaukee's Pfister או את the Drake בשיקגו אז יש לכם מושג בנוגע ל-Metropole בריסל! המיקום מושלם לתיירות, תחנת הרכבת התחתית ממש מלפנים, רחוב מסחרי ראשי נמצא מאחורי המלון וה-Grand Place נמצא במרחק כמה רחובות. החסרון היחידי הוא צוות השוערים, או שהם לא סיפקו מידע או שסיפקו מידע לא טוב. הייתי מופתע מחוסר היזמה שלהם.

It's a lovely hotel in a lovely city. I had stayed at the hotel in 1951 as a young child and remembered it as very lovely. It still is - like a grand old dame. It is beautifully maintained and everything is impeccable.

I have stayed at the metropole on many occasions. The quality of the hotel decor, staff and food is always first class. Add this to a 5 minute walk to the Grand Place and a metro station next door, makes the Metropole theperfect Brussels hotel.

Elegant hotel was a perfect place to stay in one of the grand cities of Europe. Close to major sites and easy bus transportation to major museums.

Stunning old hotel with great service and facilities. Close to all main attractions and easy access to transport system. Lovely staff who are happy to provide anything you need (at a price). The restaurant is fantastic and the bar is well stocked and a lovely place to relax. Our only issue was the lack of tea making facilities in the room but good tea and coffee were available within ten minutes from their efficient room service.

Free internet did not work. Cannot connect to the free wifi most of the time.

We went for the weekend and had a lovely stay at the Metropole. The hotel has fantastic rooms and amazing architecture. We ordered room service on the first night as we arrived late and the buffet style breakfast is fantastic.

Service is cold. No pillow for bed. They use cushion, a mall square cushion, can you believe. The show facility is not good at all. The switch is very hard to use, it took me to 10 minutes to turn off the water, which make me feel guilty as I wasted so much water. The shower head tube is leaking.

Excellent central hotel just outside the tube station. Rooms and service also excellent. Bar/coffee area not expensive compared to around Brussels.Would definately return to this hotel.

the room we got was much smaller than the promised 30+ m2, but much worse, the bathroom heat didn't work and two trips by a maintenance man didn;t fix it--he provided us with an inadequate electric heater and since the room heat too was inadequate we were less than happy. The expensive breakfast was very good, and the check in/out and valet parking services were first-rate.

We had 2 nights in Bruge and 1 night in Brussels for a post new year break before going back to work. Stayed in the Royal Casselburgh in Bruge for 1st 2 night, 4* and felt better. When we arrived at the 5* Metropole we were put in rooms which were in the unrefurbished part of the hotel, absolutely awful! smelly old bathroom, no air con or ventilation, dank and dirty looking carpets, very depressing. After complaining we were moved to refurbished rooms, beautiful! but why give us awful room to start with. Staff were great and bar area is fantastic, even had its own mouse! really enjoyed the hotel and it was perfectly situated for seeing what Brussels has to offer for sightseers, but feel they shouldn't let out those awful rooms at 5* rates.

Look like a great place to stay, sure its ornate, its very big and the foyer is impressive. We check in, no problems...it was like wait until they are in their room and then just forget about providing a service. I asked one of the room service people why I had been charged for an extra breakfast and he almost cried through the bill through the door and said something I couldn't understand but I got the idea. That was fine but the next morning we walked around the corner of the hotel past all the bright lights and glitz to be confronted by a gang fight....a bit alarming. You can find better....

Unsatisfactory room internet service; did not work, and if it had, too slow. Business office unsatisfactory alternative -- non-QARTY keyboard unusable . Requested hotel cab service to airport; told fare would be 45 euro; cabbie charged 55 euro.

The service was very good and the staff very friendly, also we got our car valet parked but we didn't get charged for it since the car stayed upfront. The location is great, right close to the main shopping street, across the street from the movie theater and just a five-minute walk to all the attractions like Grand-Place.

While the hotel lobby and entrance lives up to the pictures online the rooms are extremely outdated and down right creepy. We checked in at 6pm, I immediately called Hotels.com to inquire about a full refund and moving to a new hotel. While they were able to refund the remaining days I still had to pay for the first night. The hotel was so unsettling that we ate the one night charge and moved to another hotel. I was fully checked out by 7pm that same night. Overall look and feel reminded me of Cabin in the Woods and The Shining. No thank you!

The hotel is very old and has maintained it's glory. The room was quite nice and clean. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Our only complaint was the non price listing of the breakfast buffet. We looked everywhere for it but decided to eat there nonetheless because of our wanting to have enough time to eat and get to the train station. When we found out the cost, we were a bit shocked ---56 euros for 2 people! At least the fod was good.

Very nice except that breakfast was MUCH too expensive compared to a croissant and coffee available down the street for one seventh of the cost.

The Hotel Metropole was truly a wonderful experience. It is certainly high quality accommodation and the bathroom was a delight in itself. As a heritage listed building from the 1890's everything about the hotel was fantastic and could not be faulted. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and provided service with genuine smiles. Would love to go back there when next we visit Brussels.

Room was very spacious, just a pity we didn't have a better view.

Metropole is very nice with a friendly staff. Bedding and bathroom amenities are great. New carpets would be nice. The free water and beer in fridge is a nice touch.

I stayed in Brussels about 20 years ago and wanted to go back there to see the square and the sights again. The city has changed greatly and although the old lavish buildings still exist, they are surrounded in rubbish, beggers, and basically every form of kebab and chip shop you can get. Unfortunately this once lovely city now looks worse than inner London. The hotel itself is expensive but very high class and the staff are very helpful.

Just Perfect. It's the third time that i stay to Metropole and it is always my firts choise!!!

Enjoyed it much. The room was rather poky, especially considering the price, and the "view" of a roof and a wall was horrible. But the internet worked fine, the desk people and concierges were very helpful and kind. They suggested we email our boarding pass to them, and they printed it out and delivered it to us. If breakfast had only been included. . .

While booking a trip to a weekend meeting in Brussels, I discovered what an excellent deal the Metropole is after the eurocrats go home. As an astrophysicist, I immediately leapt at the chance to stay at this historical hotel that played host some of the most important physics conferences of the 20th century. While I certainly got a liberal dose of history, the excellent upkeep of the hotel and its 21st century amenities were a pleasant surprise. For the rock-bottom weekend rates, you would hard-pressed to find more luxurious accommodations in Europe or even North America.

Location is excellent, outside De Bruckere metro stop. Very impressive surroundings and well maintained rooms. Overall recommended.

Love Hotel Metropole, lovely room, was my 3rd time to stay. Awesome location, very friendly staff! Only 1 annoyance, I had to request the fridge to be restocked with complimentary water on 3 occasion. Room service was quick to respond! Will stay again, Hotel Metropole has my recommendation!

The hotel was fine. One can tell that it was once a great hotel, but things are a bit shabby now. The service was fantastic and still top notch. But various fixtures and furniture were really run down. The location was great.

The hotel is beautiful, definitely stroll through the lobby area! It's convenient walking to the Grand Place, Central train station, and more. The rooms are very comfortable and quite large by European standards. The restaurant is a wonderful place for fine dining and fantastic service. The cafe is perfect for a drink/snack nd people watching if its warm enough to sit outside!

worth a visit even if not saying. Expensive but very good service, decent rooms and friendly helpful staff.

Can't say enough about this hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful; the room was large and comfortable; near shopping, tour buses, and of course the Grand Place. The hotel has a lot of history (100+ years) associated with it, yet it is an up to date facility. Truly a great place to stay. We stayed here at the beginning and at the end of our European adventure.

The privilege room we booked was spacious and furnishings luxurious. The hotel overall is very unique, great service and perfect location. Would highly recommend.

This is a beautiful hotel the decor is amazing. We had a superior non smoking room which we could not fault it was huge withair con, tv, free mini bar -beer- coke-water. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Reception staff were good except one lady small very slim who was rude and this put a blight on our stay. Warning do not use htel phone for even local call the charges are very high also bar outside hotel ( I think it belongs to the hotel) a baileys 10 Euros down the road 5 euros.
