Holiday Inn Berlin City Center East Prenzlauer Allee - ברלין

We had a fantastic experience in the Holiday Inn Hotel, the stuff was friendly and very helpful, the room service & food was very good, the king size bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. The price was reasonably low for the quality & service provided.

Berlin is great City just be careful of pickpockets in some area,s.

It was a reasonably inexpensive place to stay. Unfortunately I got placed in a smoking room and with no alternatives available I stuck it out. The room aired out okay after the first night with the windows open. The hotel isn't really close to much in terms of popular attractions but it is near the S bahn and a 15 minute tram ride to Alexanderplatz. Plenty of late night falafel places open though. bakeries near by in the morning. Probably wouldn't pick this hotel location again.

Very clean hotel, friendly staff, I enjoyed the location tram out side hotel underground 500m away. Close enough to every thing but quite enough to enjoy a bit peace aswell. Great hotel.

Good standard for the area. They need to upgrade the air-con as it's a bit noisy and opening the windows is noisier. Disappointed they had no soya milk in stock to use at breakfast two consecutive days, so enquire in advance. Otherwise, it's a good location for hopping on a tram right outside, or 5 minutes' walk down the road to the S-Bahn station. Although Prenzlauer Allee itself is fairly unpleasant, the back streets have charming/interesting shops, cafés and restaurants.

We were a bit leary about being a short distance from the city center. But, it ended up a good choice. The room rate was more than fair. The room was just fine and service was good. We purchased the multi-day transportation card from the hotel, so it was easy to jump the tram right in front of the hotel and take it to Alexanderplatz where we could transfer free to UBahn or SBahn to get us quickly to all the Berlin sites. The hotel optionally offers a wonderful breakfast buffet at a rather hefty rate, probably a deal for big eaters or those wishing the convenience..

We recently visited Berlin for the first time and needed to stay in the Prenzlaur Berg area and booked the Holiday Inn as it was nearest to where we needed to be and also a very good price. Firstly the hotel was excellent and deserves its 4 stars. We had a large excellent room and bathroom (which was listed as a standard queen room) at the front of the hotel, with large windows and a balcony. It was above the main Prenzlaur Alle but the windows were so soundproofed there was absolutely no problem with any noise, the room was very quiet. In the morning glorious sunshine shone through and we could stand on the balcony and watch Berlin below us. The buffet breakfast was excellent, lots of choice (more than enough) and very good service and was available from 7.30am - 11am so no rush. When we returned to our room of an evening after a day out it was always spotless. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly and desk staff spoke embarrassingly (for us) but helpfully excellent English. Berlin is an amazing city and we would recommend it to everyone. The Prenzlaur Berg area is wonderful - wander into Prenzlaur Berg along Danziger or any of the other streets and explore the wonderful individual shops, cafes, resturants, bars and markets. The city centre, Mitte, is just a 10min simple tram ride and the tram leaves from directly outside the hotel.

Clean hotel, helpful English speaking desk staff. Conveniently located by a stop on the U-bahn but overall located a bit out of the way and we had to take multiple trains to get to the heart of the city. Bathrooms were small but clean, beds were comfortable and rooms were well maintained

This hotel was clean and the personnel were very friendly. The neighborhood lists that there are a lot of cute places nearby, but we really didn't see that. howver, there was a nice coffee shop and a general store next door, so that was helpful. This hotel was a ways out from the "main attactions" but we knew this when we signed up. The tram and bahn stations were nearby! Recommend this hotel!

The bathroom looked lovly, but the water pressure in the shower was very low and the termostate did not function, changing from very cold to hot and back again. The room was very dusty due to the carpeted floor. You have to keep everything in your suitcase as there are no easy available shelves or drawers for storage. The hotel i situated far away from everthing. Fortunately there is a tram stop just outside.

The hotel rooms are surprisingly large and comfortable. I had an internal courtyard room which was really quiet at night with no street noise. Room was a good price and near public transport, but there was no room safe.

My wife and myself stayed at this Holiday Inn for 2 nights. All in all the hotel met our expectations, the room was clean and quiet, breakfast was excellent. People at the reception desk were extreamly friendly. You have a "tram" just crossing the street. The only thing that should be improved is the free wireless internet speed and time.

I would overall recommend the hotel. Well located on a quiet area but not far from good restaurants and well communicated via S-Bahn and Tram. If I have to say anything negative at all of the hotel is that after a long day I wanted to relax watching tele but they don't have any English channels other the BBC Wold News.

I've stayed at this hotel 7 nights and I'm happy to recommend it. The service was very good and the staff very helpful and polite. Furthermore I liked the location with supermarkets, convenient stores and restaurants very close by. The tram that'll take you to the city centre stops just opposite the hotel entrance and there is also a direct S-Bahn line that'll take you from Prenzlauer Allee to the airport. Definitely it's value for money. Enjoy Berlin.

Nice hotel, well located for good restaurants and bars. Transport access to the centre and airport

the hotel is in a good location with lots of interesting restaurants, stores, and cafes, though you have to walk just a bit to get to them (it's not really right in the center of the cool part of prenzlauer berg). also right on a trolley/tram line, so very easy to get into the center of the city. a bit impersonal, but what do you expect from a holiday inn?

It was a great experience. The M2 bus is just across the street so you have direct access to the rest of central Berlin. There is only one English speaking channel on TV though. The views are not great but the hotel is clean, safe and comfortable. For the money, i's very good value. I'd definitely go back.

Jeg havde et dejligt ophold på hotellet. Inden for 5 min. gang kommer man til de hyggeligste gader, hvor cafe livet rigtig kan ses. Prenzlauer er et super område. Der er ikke så mange turister, og man kan derved opleve det "ægte" Berlin. Der er gode parkeringsmuligheder på gaden, og det er gratis at holde der. Hotellet er lige uden for miljøringen. Vil man ind til centrum, så er der offentlig transport lige uden for døren, og det tager 10 min ind til Alexanderplatz med M2. (2.40 euro for en enkelt billet) Morgenmaden er rigtig lækker, og der var et stort udvalg. Jeg kan klart anbefale dette hotel.

Fin service i receptionen. Flot morgenbuffet. Gode senge. Beliggenheden er rigtig god - med sporvogn M2 kun ca 15 min til Alexander Platz.

Ett bra hotell med stora rum. Hyfsat fräscht. Vädligt tyst! Hörde inga grannar. Frukostbuffén var dålig, gammalt bröd och kalaspuffar. Lite svagt kaffe dessutom. TRevligt folk i receptionen som hjälpte med karta och förklarade spårvagnstrafiken.

Renlighet på rummet och mycket nära till spårvagnen

Særdeles venlig og hjælpsom reception

Een goed hotel niet ver van het centrum van Berlijn, een echte aanrader! De tram M2 stopt direct voor de deur en brengt je razendsnel naar de Alexanderplatz. Eveneens goed bereikbaar vanaf Tegel. In de nabijgelegen Danziger Strasse kun je lekker eten en één halte verder met de S-Bahn (Prenzlauer Allee) kom je bij de Schönhauser Allee, waar je uitstekend kunt winkelen en een hapje kunt eten. De kamers en het sanitair van het hotel worden dagelijks goed schoongemaakt. Het ontbijt is prima. Alleen de snacks in de lounge zijn niet lekker. Ik kreeg een currywurst uit de magnetron en die was niet te eten. Personeel is heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam!

Guter Standort: günstige Verkehrsanbindung und ruhiges Zimmer. Gerne wieder.

Flott hotel, 50 m til offentlig transport( 12 min til Alexanderpladz), hotellet ligger lige udenfor miljøringen med god parkering i sidegadene. Resepsjonen sælger metro billetter og er meget hjelpsomme. God morgenmad til grei pris . Kan absolut anbefales!

Alt i alt var det fint hvis man altså så bort fra den lidt tvære natportier

Skønt med et stoppested for en sporvogn lige uden for døren. Sporvognen kører til Alexanderplatz. Herfra kan man tage S-tog, Ubahn, regionaltog og bus 100 og 200. Eller tag sporvognen til Knaackstrsse og gå ind til Kollwitzplatz. I og omkring Kollwitzplatz er der mange dejlige cafeer og restauranter. En af vore favoritter er cafe Gargarin over for Vandtårnet. Vi nyder den afslappede atmosfære på Prenzlauer Berg med kvarteret mange pladser og træer og anderledes forretninger. Kommer igen.

Helt ok hotell, men området i seg selv er kjedelig og det er et stykke til der det skjer noe. Positivt at det går trikker mot sentrum hele tiden. Dårlig med parkering.

Sehr gute Qualität und Komfort des Zimmers. Etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums aber sehr nahe an den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel

Udmærket kvalitet . De fire stjerner passer. Miljøet ved hotellet lidt kedeligt, men hotellet ligger i et område tæt ved gader med gode spisesteder, spændende mindre butikker og god atmosfære også ved aftenstide.

Fin hotel med udmærked morgenbuffet. Queen size bed vil jeg betegne som en smule overdrevet (160 cm bred :)) og så kunne der godt være 2 lænestole i stedet for en. Ellers rummelig, rent værelse og badeværelse. Hotel ligger udenfor centrum, men der er gode S-bahn forbindelser til centrum.
