ONE UN New York, formerly Millennium UN Plaza Hotel - ניו יורק

Checked into the East Tower not realising it was under renovation - very basic with a complete lack of normal room amenities. After the shower broke (twice) and much compaining I was relocated inally after to the West Tower. It was like night and day in terms of difference. The room was beautifully finished and had all the trimmings you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The staff were very accomodating and would recommend you stay ( but only in the West Tower) !

The hotel was nice and clean, the room a little worn in some places, hair dryer power point not working, but when we asked the staff about it they gave us a replacement hair dryer. Would be nice if they had a mirror or two outside of the bathroom though! Staff are friendly and like to help you out, there was a nice view from the room and it was a nice experience overall. Would recommend this hotel as long as you don't mind walking a little every now and then :)

I thought the room was a bit on the small side and did not look like the rooms shown on the website. The staff was exceptional and made me feel like I was the only guest at the hotel.

Front desk & Concierge were slow and listless. Have used the hotel for many years. New Staff needs trasining.

Great location, great price, and the staff were very friendly. We all had a great long weekend.

I stayed here with a friend of mine and we enjoyed our stay. Beds were comfortable. No issues with bed bugs. Location was convenient to LaGuardia airport. The only downside is that the bathroom could use some remodeling - wallpaper was a little worn and it could use some new tiles. Otherwise overall good stay. Front desk and concierge folks were polite and accommodating.

Room was beat up, smelled of smoke even though I was told it was a non-smoking room. walls all scuffed, carpet stained....overall a disappointment given the high ratings it has associated with it.

Room was comfortable with excellent view to the south. Bed was fine but couch was dated with mismatched pillows. Staff was friendly & helpful. Pool and health club looked fine, though not used on this trip. Quiet neighborhood across 1st Avenue from UN.

This hotel was very nice. I had a corner room that was large with great views. The amenities were great. The restaurant was overpriced but luckily there are a ton of great restaurants in walking distance. It was definitely worth the price!

Great view of the East River in NYC. Modern hotel in a great part of Manhattan. The room service was pretty expensive though.

We were delighted with the area and the ease of reaching other parts of the city. We bought an unlimited metro card the first day since it gave us the flexibility to use it for even short distances if we so desired. We also picked up a subway and bus map which is necessary. We were two blocks from 42nd street and so used the cross town bus frequently. The staff at the hotel were friendly and most helpful and the rooms were clean and well cared for. The view was spectacular! We would definitely choose to stay there again. I do wish that they had free internet service, which many hotels do have. The rates are comparable to other hotels, but we snapped up a special which was great!

People were wonderful and service was spectacular.

We ended up in one of the smaller rooms but it was still larger than many NY hotel rooms. We were on the 37th floor (all of the rooms are up high) - as a result the room was VERY quiet which we liked. Nice view north to the east river. Would definitely stay there again.

When nothing is happening at the UN, this is our favorite place to stay in New York. It's just a couple of blocks from Grand Central Station. There's a full size pool overlooking the East River, the UN Headquarters, and down into town. Where else can you see the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building, the UN, etc. from your room? We've stayed here multiple times and usually have a great room. One time we got a room in the 'overflow' tower that was a bit dated, but the rooms in the main tower are updated and clean. When anything is happening at the UN, however, you can't get near this place within a reasonable budget.

I was extremely happy with the size of the room and views of the city with windows all along the room. There was very little noise since I was up on the 36th floor and within walking distant to Grand Central, Times Square, etc. In reading the reviews before I went, I was prepared for the room to look worn and it did but it was clean. I would recommend an upgrade to superior corner rooms for the views! The air conditioner was noisy but they came up to fix. All staff was extremely friendly especially Frank! Thanks for the help in getting around to see various sites!!!

Located just across the street from the United Nations this hotel has a great location. The hotel has a policy of not allowing guests to store bags overnight which was inconvenient as I had business in Washington DC for a few days but wanted to return to ONE UN and not take all my luggage. Otherwise this hotel is clean, quiet and in a convenient location for restaurants and access to the city.

I had to find a place quickly - within an hour. I could not afford too much and this hotel had a rate under $200 and 4 start rating! So, I picked it. We had a great big room, comfortable bed and a great view of the city. I think the room could have been a bit cleaner. Good stay!

I came back but did not get the same room and quality of service as the first. Very disappointing. It is important to note that there is a Vintage side of the hotel and the West side. The vintage side is old and worn and set for an upgrade. The West Tower side is where you need to stay. The bathrooms and showers are spacious and clean. The carpet is cleaner. remember book the West Tower!

The room was OK. A little bland to be honest, but the view made up for it. Breakfast was good, but a bit pricy for the selection. Everybody was nice.

This hotel is in a good location on E 44th between 1st and 2nd, very close to Grand Central. It also had some of the nicest staff that I have come across. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the room was clean. I was on the 37th floor with a great view of the East River. Only negative is that the hotel is obviously older and in need of some renovation: stained wallpaper in the bathroom, cracked tiles, mirrors and decor need to be replaced/updated. This did not bother me because I was out almost all day every day but I mention it because some people prefer a more up to date hotel.

Amazing views! The hotel was extremely clean and comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood had so much to offer, I mean you're right over the United Nations. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has two towers. One is newly renovated, the other one is very aged. So Make sure what you have booked for. The old tower hotel room doesn't have tea/coffee makers. The room we had first, had a broken standing lamp. The window wasn't properly locked. And the wallpaper had much dirt. The opening hour for the swimming pool was a shame. Only 7am to 6 or 7pm daily. If you went out for city tour in New York, just forget about it. We tried to go swimming but it was packed with young kids. The best thing about this hotel was the view. If you could get a higher floor with good view, it will compensate much on all discomfort. As for location, learn to take M42 bus and it will take you to major attractions without trouble.

We had read the reveiws prior to our stay and we knew what to expect. We were very sastified overall - The only suggestions from us would be a thicker, firmer mattress but that might of just been our room!

The pool closed at 7 which made is useless. A breakfast starting in the $20 range per person was out of our budget. Some electrical outlets were behind a newer remodeled wall.

Excellent view of Empire State bldg. and Hudson River. Superior service. We were able to get early arrival check in. Missed having a coffee maker in room. My daughter's cot was lumpy and difficult to sleep on. However, overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

This was a spur of the moment stay as I already live in New York but just did not want to go home. As a jaded new Yorker we think we've seen and experienced it all but this hotel is a gem. It was a steal for what we paid 179 excl any taxes and fees. Service was amazing, room clean, the view absolutely breath taking both while sleeping and having breakfast! The only down side was the location, a ten minute walk from the train if you know where you're going. Definitely worth the stay of you have the money.

The room was really large, and had a wonderful view! The only problem was that we asked for an extra robe and never got it, and we asked for extra towels and did not receive them.

We had room 3216. The view was spectacular!!!!!! The room needed a little work, but it was worth the money in the view!!!

Reserved a smoking room first room given was a non-smoking so they switxhed us. When asking for directions to the lounge, we were sent to the Sky Club which is members only. The Ambassador Lounge is closed, which their website fails to mention. They had some 45 lb woman who was 3 feet tall serving wine and beer only in the lobby instead. Then it took 25 mins for the valet to retreive the car when we left at the arranged time of 5AM, and yes we called down first.
