After reading other reviews, I was a bit nervous about our upcoming stay. However, I have nothing but good things to say about our stay. I thought the bed was quite comfortable and the shower was great too! The only minor problems were, as mentioned before, no free Internet. Thank goodness it was a trip for pleasure not business. And the few things we requested from the front desk took ages to recieve. If they had been things I needed, and not shaving cream my boyfriend forgot I would have went down to get them myself. Other than those minor things, it was quite a nice stay and I would definitely stay again! The staff was very friendly as well.

The staff was nice and provided great service. The valet parking was expensive and there was no other great options for parking.

Very nice hotel. Shuttle to Metro or not to far to walk. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Affordable compared to DC.

Relatively easy access to Metro rail. Lack of complimentary wireless Internet is the biggest negative.

Hotel staff was among the best I've encountered. Second time in hotel and although I have to schlep it into town to see the sights, the shuttle to the Crystal City metro stop and the comfort/atmosphere of hotel makes it all worth while.

It was a large and nice room for a more than reasonable price. Though it is a bit from the Metro station, because they have a free shuttle it makes it worth the price and location.

The valet price for parking at the hotel, could have been lower. Looking at the parking garage next door and neighboring hotels, the Hyatt could have done a better job in that department. When I checked in there was a group of elderly people trying to check in, I understand they always have some kind of need they have to have, but at that point, there shouldn't have been only two desk employees. It wasn't until I was done checking in when the rest of the employees came out to help. Other than that, it's a nice hotel, the rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, and the surrounding cafes are convenient. It's more of a business trip hotel, and not really a family oriented hotel. Most of the rooms where looking straight at other hotel rooms, but for the price, service and cleanliness this place was the best compared to surrounding hotels. This is what I heard from people staying in the two surrounding hotels, and one hotel one block north of the Hyatt.

The staff was great! Valet parking was slow, but they were very nice. Enjoyed location and shuttle service was great. I would come back again

Location to Reagan National was 3 minutes and the staff was great. room was wonderful

The hotel is very well located. Near the airport and well connected to DC via subway. Free airport shuttle is efficient. Excellent for business trips.

Hotel was great and the staff were very helpful

This hotel is excellent. The check in was around two minutes, the room decor was modern and very clean. The hotel lobby is superb with lots of seating areas and free wifi. The staff are especially friendly and very helpful. We would not hesitate to return. The National Diner across from the hotel on the main road is excellent for breakfast and only two minutes away. The shuttle bus to the Metro is constantly outside the hotel and very convenient.

It was very comfortable and in close proximity to DC.

Hotel was fine. Nice rooms, VERY friendly service, but basically no restaurant to speak of. There is one there, but the menu is HORRIBLE ( spaghetti, one small,nasty steak, one or two seafood dishes. And the restaurant atmosphere is similar to the breakfast buffet area of a holiday inn express. Luckily other surrounding hotels have decent restaurants. I'll stay at a different place next time for that reason...

Room was very nice. Lobby restaurant and lounge were nice and provided good service. Airport shuttle runs frequently so it was easy to make flight.

My Assoc picked this hotel it is pleasant Staff was great. Bldg starting to show signs of wear, but nothing major. The group supper buffet was done poorly. Only 2 serving stations for 1,000 people. With carver at end, they could have served on both sides of table which would have doubled capacity. As a result this delay took away from our sightseeing tour. Pls send me a copy of my invoice Thnx

Great stay. Would book with this hotel again

Luckily I ended up here, my new favorite place when visiting DC, when another hotel screwed up my reservation (other hotel gave me a confirmation #, but contacted me later to say they were overbooked). My good fortune, since this place, with several hundred rooms, seems well managed all around: pleasant, efficient check-in; great modern, bright, clean, large room; good flat-screen TVs, just what you want all-around. Stretching to find some negative, and only one was the built-in electrical outlet on the night stand was inoperative. I'll be back several times a year.

The stay was great- but the Valet parking was reallyt poor. In the evening awe waited almost 30 minutes to get our car- making us late for our restaurant booking and when checking out- it took about 20 minutes!

The rooms were beautiful but the shower had not been cleaned very well and the room was covered in a layer of dust. The service staff need to do a better job of cleaning rooms in between stays.

Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. The beds were uncomfortable, and none of us slept all night any night we were there. The biggest disappointment was with the restaurant. The hotel has closed the restaurant on the top floor, but none of the signage has been changed yet. The restaurant that was open on the second floor had a very limited menu, with no options for children (and ours are 12 and 14). We had a couple of appetizers and then left, with no option but to eat outside the hotel on the other nights of our stay. There is a fantastic grill right across the street, which came in handy.

Stayed here for anniversary trip during Cherry Blossom festival. Had never been to Crystal City before but what a cute place! Tons of restaurants, clean streets, great for a short run - and! - only minutes from DC! Didn't even have a chance to check out the shops but we were just thrilled with the hotel - and the hotel!! What a great place! Funky hip modern! Loved the decorations, our room was clean, not too big not too small. The hotel bar was nice, enjoyed hanging out there 2 nights, the staff was very friendly, the drinks good, food delicious. The hotel staff is the only reason I gave less stars. I booked a Cherry Blossom package and the guy that checked us in knew nothing of it. It turned out to be a problem at check out, figuring out how to charge us for room charges, which took a while, and I think they ended up making some mistakes. But still, overall, it was a good experience and I would go back. As an FYI - there's no free parking, you have to pay 28 bucks!! for hotel valet, or you can do it yourself for about 12 bucks for night in a public garage just behind the hotel.

The Hyatt was as expected, a very clean, well run hotel. The service was very good. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The comfort of the bed was not as good as it could have been. The dinner menu at the Cinnabar Restaurant lacked variety. The breakfast buffet was good, but could use some daily specials for additional variety. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and we could easily get to public transportation to see the sights of Washington.

Close distance to everything and staff was great

Everything about this hotel is quite good or excellent. But the only fact that I hated was the designated smoking spot near the entereance. we had to breath the smoke whicle getting out and getting in the hotel.

My time at the hyatt was awesome and worth every penny I paid

Great hotel I waited for 20 just to check  out

no one at the front desk when we checked in. Left our rental car with the valet for less than an hour and we were charged for overnight valet parking. Rooms really had nothing in them, no refriderator, minimum ammenities. We had stayed at the Renassiance in Raleigh Durham the previous night, Hyatt could learn something from them. We remember when Hyatt was a class hotel, guess you have changed with the times.

I really was very upset at the cost of the parking and the inconvenience it caused at my stay, had it been refundable I may have checked out and left

Our stay was very pleasent and the staff was very accommodating. We've stayed in this hotel before but it was nice to be remembered by the bellhop Solomon and the valets. The only thing I did'nt like was the mattress pad which bunched up under me every time I moved in bed. They need to be anchored down.
