Marriott Crystal Gateway - ארלינגטון

I was truly impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the customer service. It is located with in easy walking distance to the metro. The only drawback were the shops. Although they were not part of the hotel, very simple to walk to by a convenient tunnel, bu they were always closed. They closed very early, even Rite Aid, and the mexican restaurant was closed on Sunday. The two restaurants in the hotel (bar and restaurant) had great service and the food was very good. I would definately stay here again

Comfortable, clean and convenient. Could probably get better value for money elsewhere.

The beds were some of the most comfortable I have found in a hotel. However there were long waits at the elevators during the afternoon and early evening. 4 elevators for all their floors is just not enough. The food for breakfast was just OK. The fresh fruit was fantastic - but the pancakes were just ok and the bacon was terrible (tasted like precooked from a package - tasteless and tough). Which is probably why the wait at Einstine's Bagels was 20 minutes long!

I am always satisfied with Marriott Hotels, however I was unpleasantly surprised by the poor customer service. The registration clerk acted like it was a nuisance to check me in and when I asked for clarification about having to pay an additional $26 per night for parking she responded as though my question was ridiculous. I had reserved a room with a refrigerator and when asked to check, she simply said, "no it doesn't appear as though your room has one." I had to ask for one to be brought and even then it didn't arrive until 4 hours later when we called the front desk again and spoke to someone else. Not a typical Marriott experience.

the room was pretty great. THE BED WAS AMAZING :) most comfortable bed I've ever laid in. my boyfriends only issue was that the rooms dont have mini fridges but other than that the concierge was great. really nice and helpful!!!

I really enjoyed the stay the front desk was pleasant and I was happy with the outcome

I absolutely loved this hotel. I will quickly summarize everything that I loved: 1) Every member of the staff were incredibly nice and helpful. 2) Hotel is right around the corner from Metro stop. 3) Hotel is conneced to various shops. 4) Room service was amazing. Usually room service is just adequate, but the food was amazing. 5) Hotel is beautifull. 6) Beds are comfy. In short, I'm definitely staying here again!

They will charge you 26 $ per day for parking, other things are very good.

Absolutely loved our stay. The only negative rating would be to the bar staff the evening of 4/12. The lobby bar was packed with only two waiters. Although the table only having drinks received TONS of attention and refills,my children and I were ignored during our dinner, and were attended to until AFTER out meal was finished It was at THIS point that the waiter asked how everything was. It was too late. We all would have liked another drink, and even a dessert, but not with that horrible service.

Had trouble finding entrance without a GPS because there is no actual frontage on Jeff Davis Highway. Staff was excellent. Lobby is cacophonous when occupied by more than 20 people. Signage in underground shopping area is confusing because of multiple Marriott's close together. Room very good except bed 8 inches from wall.

I always enjoy staying at the Crystal Gateway Marriot. It's location is convienent to all the surrounding areas and attractions. Being able to go under the hotel to the Metro, as well as all the shopping and dining options, makes it an even greater place tot stay!

Good experience in general, terrible breakfast organization. We wait in the line about 1 hour in the morning. The diner room personal worked very slow and they were very tiered and unfriendly. If you will stay in this hotel, don't buy breakfast.

Easy access to Metro, Shops. Nice atmosphere and easy parking.

Excellent value for downtown accommodation close to The Mall via Metro subway. Great breakfast including best omelette. Only fault found was slow elevators, especially if a conference group is staying . Easy access to Hotel if driving in by car, but follow a GPS .

We had a 3-day-stay at this hotel, very pleased with the hotel location and good accessibility to Metro station. Hotel staffs were pleasant and helpful, room and other facilities were very decent. I totally recommend this hotel.

This was an older hotel but well taken care of and very clean. Every staff member was pleased to help us with any need, even toothbrushes for my children and me. I purchased the "breakfast included" option and it was well worth the minimal extra. I expected pastries for what I paid and we enjoyed a full buffet including a chef who made omelets to order. The Metro was connected to the hotel lobby through the Crystal City Shops so we never had to walk into the weather until we were in DC. Overall I was very pleased with our stay.

We took a family spring break trip to DC and stayed here because it had an indoor pool and was close to the Metro. It was very convenient with the Metro access basically attached to the hotel though the mall. The staff was very helpful as we arrived a little early and they made accommodations for us. The breakfast was great with a waffle and omelet station, well worth the higher room rate especially for a family of four. Pool should be bigger with a hotel this size as it was almost always crowded but the kids swam with no problem. The room and bath room were very clean.

Really Nice for the Price

We could not ask for a better stay for us to see all the DC attractions everything was great. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again when visitind DC.

The location of this hotel is the really good thing about this hotel. The hotel sits above the Crystal City Metro station with numerous shopping and food establishments near the station as well. Upon arrival, the front desk staff were very professional and courteous as well as all of the employees, especially during breakfast the following morning. We were able to use the gym and the pool was great after a day in Washington. Also, being a short walk away from the Fashion Centre Mall was a bonus. Great Hotel! Very Clean and quiet for such a large hotel.

Good location for National airport. A little pricey for parking...

The Marriott Crystal Gateway is a fantastic hotel/shopping complex. Just a short drive to all DC attractions and conveniently connected to Metro station, shops and restaurants. Rooms are clean and great water pressure on the showers. We got the "stay with breakfast" package and for a family of four it was a very good deal. Very good variety for breakfast, loved the oatmeal bar with dried fruits, nuts, etc. Excellent selection of fruits and the typical breakfast stuff. Fresh squeezed orange juice was a huge bonus ! All in all very happy with the hotel and will definitely stay there again next time we visit DC.

For breakfast you can have a variety of foods, all of them delicious and healthy!

Overall, I like this hotel, but there was an incident. We stayed two nights. We found the house keeper did not finish her job and left the room with bed sheets off from bed. She might think we already checked out and consider my room as no urgent room. She also removed my belongings such as tooth brush, paste and drinking water bottles. I claimed her faults and hotel accepted and offered something that I was please with. Everybody makes mistakes and important thing is how the person fixes them.

only downer was an overzealous pool "guard" who took his job too seriously and made us wait in our swimming suits and towls because he said the pool was at capacity and we had to wait until someone left before we could enter. After a long line formed with only one hour left before the pool closed, someone thought to complain to management and a manager came to instruct the schmuck to let people in to swim! (Which we had all paid handsomely with our room rate to have the pleasure to do!)

We stayed at the Marriott for one night and had breakfast included with our room. The hotel is very close to the subway, so getting into downtown is easy. It was a really nice hotel, good service and a nice room. The hotel parking area was full, but we could park for free (free over the weekend) in the shopping mall parking lot which connects to the hotel. The breakfast was good, but they need more staff; there were huge line ups.
