Stayed 1 night at the hotel, my elderly parents stayed on the 14th floor, I recommend this because of all the extras. Staff extremely helpful as my parents needed much of my attention. The parking attendant, Troy, even brought me one of my tips back because he felt I had made an error. I handed him what I thought was 3 singles, but there was a $20 bill in it. Is that customer service or what? I will stay there again and tell all this story!

2nd time staying here for Jazzfest. Decent location, good service. Property is dated and overdue for renovation. Otherwise a good choice.

We were in New Orleans for Jazz Fest and the hotel was a great option. Not being right in the middle of the French Quarter was nice, as we were able to get away from the crowds while remaining within a 5 minute walk to the neighborhood. We also found that we were well situated for newer and trendier restaurants as well as within walking distance to the Smithsonian affiliated WWII museum (well worth a visit) which we visited on a rainy day. We also appreciated the great customer service of the hotel staff.

This is an older hotel that has been well cared for and situated in the business district. The rooms aren’t large and the beds were too soft for my taste, but otherwise it was well appointed and clean. The bathrooms were also small. The staff was capable and courteous. Valet parking is expensive and isn’t on site so it was a little slow. If you use it call ahead at busy times. Another option is the less expensive public lot right next to the property.

..is the disappointing breakfast at the Veranda Room. I don't mind paying a nice chunk for a breakfast buffet if it is executed well, but the choices were VERY slim compared to similar upscale accommodations (namely the Hilton that actually even offered alligator on their breakfast buffet). It also was bothersome that I nearly missed my flight because I had to wait 15 minutes for a glass of juice, and another 15 minutes just to receive my check. Other than that the hotel was fantastic, the beds were super comfortable, the staff was attentive, and the rooms were well worth the cost.

We arrived early (11 AM) and were allowed to check in. We were also offered late check out when I inquired about them keeping our bags until we could leave. I was a very nice hotel and within walking distance of all the local sites. 3 blocks from bourbon street ect. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff are excellent but the hotel rooms are dated for the price although very clean Maybe they jacked the prices up bc is was French Quarter festival. Location is great with a self parking lot next door for 25 a day. Bed is super comfy. AC didn't work so well. I think they control the AC. Good water pressure.

The Intercontinental was likely at one time a very nice property, but it is in need of upkeep and renovations. We had requested a king room, but when we checked in were told that the only non-smoking rooms available were double bed rooms. Once we got to the room there were stains on the tile and carpet, holes in the bed skirt, a hole in the drywall under the window, etc. The location near St. Charles Street and the French Quarter is the best thing about this property, but it needs to spend the money to get the guest rooms up-to-date and clean to live up to its location.

Small Rooms, Room Service Fast, Valet a nightmare Sunday Morning. No Tip !

The Intercontinental Hotel provides the best in customer comforts. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and will do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. Located just blocks away from Bourbon Street, it is within walking distance of New Orleans best tourist hotspots. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Big Easy

The beds are extremely un comfortable. The air conditioner did not work in our room they had to call in maintenance. The pool was under renovations soo ws could not take kids swimming.we were totally dissatisfied for the large amount of money we paid.

I spent my first night at the W that was located in the French Quarter. The Intercontential surpassed the W hands over fist. The room was cleaner, larger and I felt very safe. I was a single traveler and was pretty nervous at the other hotel. I would recommend this hotel to friends and plan on staying there next year when I return.

Everything about the hotel was good. We will stay there again. My husband and I went down to New Orleans to run a marathon. The only hiccup we encountered was the morning of the race, the lobby restroom only had one of the four bathrooms in working condition. The hotel was jammed packed full of runners. Runners need restrooms before a long run, so to only have one bathroom working was extremely troublesome. Sure, we could have gone back upstairs to our rooms, but that is very time consuming to wait on the elevator and such. I think the hotel staff should have made the restrooms a priority.

Best hotel outside the Quarter! Three tiny blocks from Canal St...perfect for couples who want some quiet time after a long day/night of Cajun fun. Staff is incredible!

This was a great choice. The hotel was clean, quiet and secure. It was an easy walk to all the main sites and the parades were just steps away. The staff was courteous and the rooms were spacious.

Not worth price of room. Very little information was given voluntarily at the front desk (where is the elevator, how to utilize you room key to access the 14th floor in the elevator, check out time, etc.). Small room. Woke up with back ache, bed very uncomfortable. Only reason for 2 and 3 rating on location convenience and neighborhood is.... it's down town New Orleans. Not a convenient place anywhere to build a hotel!

The location is great and a walk into the French Quarter ambience is as natural as lacing up your Nikes. The hotel is lovely and the rooms are nicely done. Personally, I felt the mattress a bit too soft, but not a problem.

First off, fantastic location close to everything in the city and very convenient public transport, they are fixing the trolley line for super bowel but once that's done it passes right in front of the hotel. We got upgraded when we complained that the window of our original room was facing directly at the balcony of the room next to ours, but here's where the problem occured. They never changed the fact that we switched rooms in their hotel system, so the wifi didn't work and no one cleaned our room the next day, obviously the key didn't work, no one walked into our room but it totally could have happened. I was very surprised that this happened since I was under the impression that the Intercontinental was a pretty upscale hotel. Here are some other minor issues: - Person that checked us in was kind of snotty, but later it was him that helped us get another room and he was nicer than before - Shower pressure was horrible, and if you're over 5'11" you had to bend your knees becusae the shower was pretty low - Doors are very loud when they close Over all we had a very plesant stay, everyone from bell boys to concierge was extrememly friendly and helpful, but just the fact they forgot to change our room in their system was a hassel and frankly should not have happened, would stay here again.

I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room (could not walk without shoes and the carpet was so dirty). I do not feel the hotel staff did anything "above and beyond" to make me want to stay here again. I brought my pet with me to the hotel- paid the $150 nonrefundable fee - and did not get even a dog biscuit in return! I have traveled with my dog to numerous hotels around the country and have received MUCH better service (inc beds, bowls, treats, food, etc). Additionally, the hotel is loud which hindered my sleep and my dog's state of mind. This should be listed as a 3 star hotel....

Reserved 2 rooms for our New Orleans stay for one evening after our cruise ended. Very thankful that we were allowed to check in early. Rooms were nicely furnished. The majority of us did not like the mattress topper. Was wondering if it was used to help extend life of mattresses. Parking was expensive but you do have in and out privileges which was a plus for us.

Stayed here for New Years, was reasonably priced, short distance from bourbon, nice hotel, big tvs

The first room we were assigned had experienced a water leak causing the carpet outside the bathroom to be saturated. The bathroom floor was also very wet. Initially we were told by the receptionist at the front desk that she had no other rooms for us to be reassigned & that the hotel was at 100% occupency. She said nothing could be done but she would send someone from maintanence to check on the situation. After 15 minutes we recalled to check if someone was coming to our room. We suggested they bring a wet vacuum. A staff member arrived with no supplies but agreed that our room should be changed. He went back to the lobby to speak with the reception staff & returned with a new room assignment & the new key. We were very grateful for his assistance.

Staff was so friendly! We had been driving all night long and walked in being greeted by Alexis at the registration desk. Very friendly and warm smile. She helped coordinate our stay, and acknowledged that she would be working during the duration of our stay if we needed anything. Also our parking attendant (Ted Turner look alike) was so helpful in giving us the 'hotspots' to go eating. We enjoyed the stay and the atmosphere. Oh yes, we did eat breakfast buffet! (Only thing I missed was french toast/pancakes, not sure if I could have ordered them off menu; didn't look) Olga did great in serving us. Overrall -awesome

We had a fabulous time celebrating our 20th anniversary . The hotel was great because they allow dogs. Our chihuahua Ioved the hotel too .

I heard the voice from next room which snnoied me.

Nicely maintained hotel, staffed by incredibly helpful and friendly staff, 2 blocks from French Quarter, walking distance to Harrah's casino and Riverwalk.
