InterContinental Mark Hopkins - סן פרנסיסקו

We stayed 2 nights at the Mark Hopkins. I would say for an intercontinental that the decor was perhaps getting a bit dated and tired, but I couldn't fault the staff at all for their friendliness and they were really helpful. The bath was oddly rather shallow, but this didn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. The views from the restaurant on the top floor were really good.

Stayed at the Mark Hopkins for one night. The hotel is beautiful. Word of advice, don't attempt to drag your luggage up the hill...unless you want a serious workout

very pleasant. view form the Top of the Mark can't be beat. Sunday brunch is fabulous.

Discounted room rate got a noisy, low level room facing the street -- but saved a few bucks on a 5 star hotel. Professional staff. Room service dishes remained in hall way for a full day -- but then again, was probably on a discounted room floor. Nice hotel. Discounted room also got a not free internet, which always comes with a 2 star. But, got to make money somehow. Stayed two nights, pleasant memories.

The ICH Mark Hopkins is a nice Hotel but all in I didn't see the value. When paying over a certain amount per night there are somethings that you shouldn't be nickel and dimed on IE:Wi-fi. Other than that the rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The Top of the Mark is definately is a must see

Excellent hotel...great service, great bed. Amazing bar with a few of the entire city. Next time we are in the city...we will be staying here!

Excellent location,minus -lack of free Wi -Fi and limitted dinnig

They were fabulous. They treated my Grandfather so good, made him feel like a king. He and my Grandmother who is dead used to come to the Mark for drinks when they were young so it was great for him to come back see it again expecially with the way he was treated. I will definately coming back to stay here.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful views. Right on the California cable car line. Worth the money.

loved it! have stayed before. Only criticism would be no fan in bathroom which was a problem after hot showers.

Went to SF for a conference and the reason to choose the Intercontinental was: 1. rating by hotel.com; 2. location (conference 1 block away). This is such a disappointment: very noisy room; no refill for coffee, soap etc for 4 days. Bathroom not cleaned. Slow room service. Smile is apparently not an option, from entrance desk to roo service. Exception for the concierge. Clearly ovverrated.

Pleasant and restful.

I had a wonderful week at the Mark Hopkins... the hotel has a great location, lovely rooms, amazing beds, plenty of amenities, and a nice gym. I would definitely stay here again! My only complaint is the $12/day charge for wireless... I spent seven nights in the hotel and it would have been great if this had been free or at least discounted.

Very nice overall. Loved the bar at the top of the mark and the entertainment was great!!! Only downside was that one of the front desk employees recommended a new trendy restaurant was was very disappointing.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The only down side was that parking was $52 a day.

nice hotel but very pricey for what you get.

Very close to transit; China Town and within walking distance from many sites of interest. Safe and clean. Room was simple relative to price; though bathroom was palatial.

Love the location. The room was small, as small as or smaller than others we've stayed at that don't have the Mark Hopkins name. Service wasn't any better or worse--it was very good. Nice view of the bay from the 3rd floor; higher floor would be a better view. Having the Top of the Mark in the hotel is cool. But the brunch is $74, and room service is over the top in price too. Nice to know that it's a seriously overpriced hotel that we got a good deal at thru Hotels.com. A fun experience but I wouldn't recommend it if you're paying more than we did, $180/night. Oh and parking on the street was easy, saving $50. Being near Grace Cathedral and other sights was great.

Very good experience overall. Would be good to have firmer mattresses though

Wonderful, elegant old hotel. Great and comfortable bed especially after a 12 hour fllight. Would highly recommend to friends.

Very comfortable and clean. Helpful friendly staff. Very convenient for town. It may be at the top of a hill, but it is worth the 10 minute effort.

This was an indifferent stay. Hotel rooms were fair at best but the amenities were very limited. Restaurant choices were virtually absent. Service was indifferent and relatively poorly organized

It was wonderful and I would definitely stay again.

Although I have been to SF many times, I had never stayed at the Mark Hopkins. Everything about the hotel, staff, food, setting is nearly perfect. Top of the Mark remains a must-do in SF. Even the maintenance man on the floor greeted me, asked about my day and thanked me for staying at the Mark Hopkins - a home run stay.

I got one night for £94, a bargain for the quality of hotel, breakfast not included but typical US prices for this and it was very good spread

This was one of the best hotel stays of my lifetime. I had a beautiful corner room. It was so clean that I felt as comfortable as home. The bathroom was outstanding, plenty of room, the marble was fresh and everything was well caulked and in top shape (often even great hotels have cracked tile and old caulking). I could not believe how nice it was. The hairdryer and other appointments like the lighted mirror were easy to get to and set nicely in the bathroom. The robe and slippers were bagged so you knew that they were fresh. The bedding was luxurious and just crisp fresh. The staff was always nice, the events at the TOP OF THE MARK (which has an amazing view by the way) like the Tarot reading and wine and other activities were very cool. The cleaning person was outstanding and even took my hanging (to reuse) towel and providing fresh towels overriding my frugal nature. You just felt cared for. This was an amazing stay in an unbelievable room. I felt like a pampered queen and hate, hate, hate staying in hotels. This made the five day stay for interviews a dream and so much easier than it might have been in a cramped seedy room/hotel. Thank you for an outstanding stay.

I love this hotel, and I stayed there because I got a great rate through hotels.com, but what's not mentioned, and worthy of note is that room service is really expensive (and you have to walk way down the hill for other options), overnight valet parking was $52/night, and the valet/doormen, while polite and gracious, were a bit slow to move for this exclusive a property....probably won't be back, even at a great rate, unless it's a romantic getaway, and then the views are very much worth it.

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. They were very accommodating even though we got there early, 4 hours before check-in, they were more than happy to find us a room that was ready. Our room had gorgeous views and is simply in the best part of the city. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Located atop Nob Hill, the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental is a classic old line hotel. It sits right across from the Pacific Union Club, other classic hotels and a magnificent cathedral. It is located walking distance from most things you'll want to see such as Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf and Union Square and the cable car line runs right past it. Views are good if you get a higher floor. The room was bigger than we thought and good size for three people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return when we have a chance.

Very small bathroom. The staff was very courteous and helpful.
