Seagull Hotel Miami Beach - מיאמי ביץ'

It was one of the worse HOTELs I have ever stayed. The money I paid the condition of the room really sucks...SORRY but i will nit be back nor will I tell any one to stay there....

I give this hotel a 3 out of 5 i had the ocean view room and it was a great view. Will use this hotel again for sure.

The Seagull hotel has dirty rooms, and is generally run down. The bed covers had holes. On a positive note, it is in an excellent location. Only 3 blocks from the Miami Beach Convention Center and 1 block from the Ocean. Lincoln road is a 5 block walk.

The concierge guys, Gerald and Benito, made the hotel. They were super helpful and friendly

hotel old not very clean. A/C didn't work, even after they came to fix it. Only one ice machine in 7 floors worked for whole buildidng. Web site mentioned public parking across xtreet but didn't mention it cost $1.75 per hour!!!! Beautiful view and nice staff though.

My family and I were very excited to go to the beach and when we book this hotel we tough that we will have a great time but this place is horrible. the place smells, dirty, old outdated the bathroom is nasty I was afraid to get fungus every time I got inside the tub it's worse than a gas station bathroom. The bathroom sink was leaking and when we call maintenance they did not fix it and he made it worse. We could not use the pool because was dirty and un-sanitary . There is a black lady at the reception desk very rude unprofessionally with bad attitude. Hotel.com should remove this hotel from their list. To all future guess DO NOT GO...you will be very disappointed.

All in all not as bad as people make it out to be. It's a bit run down and the elevators are unpredictable. The rooms are dusty and need some tlc but not filthy. Very functional. The hotel is right on the water by the most happening spots and the parking, though public, is right across the street. Not exactly a resort but for one or two days just fine.

What can I say... you get what you pay for. At the end of the day, this place was perfect for walking to the convention center and lots of other places, including the beach! There are countless Ferrari's and Rolls-Royces in front of the hotel, but they're probably not staying at the Seagull. I am a world traveller and have had the great pleasure of experiencing hotels, hostels, camps in Africa, etc. and this place is fine. There were NO bedbugs, NO cockroaches, and the staff was cordial. Sure there's a couple of minor imperfections to the room, but you're in Miami/South Beach; GET OUT OF THE ROOM AND GO EXPLORE PEOPLE!

If you are looking for prime location this is the place for you .Though quality is out the door. Service was terribly but price does matters sometimes. My friends said never gain will I ever stay in a hotel like that again

We stayed at the hotel just for couple of days.People who work there where friendly and helpful.My only complain is that there was no refrigerator in a room.I would book this hotel again...

This is a hotel in a great location, but, badly in need of refurbishment. I stayed in an unseasonably cold February day with low temperatures in the 40's. My room was the same temperature. The heating system did not work, but, a space heater was quickly brought to my room when I complained. Only one of eight floors had a working ice machine. Although, I booked and paid on line, the hotel charged $2.46 per day for the in-room safe I did not need. However, their price was good reflecting the hotel's condition. Very convenient to the Miami Convention Center, my destination.

Poor quality hotel that is begging for a remodel. The only nice thing, were the employees, and unfortunately they need a job. The smell was bad, so I took a scented candle, the tub was nasty, so I took a pair of shoes to wear.....yes, I read the reviews prior to staying, but I needed the location. Lamp switches were broken, batteries were missing out of the remote, safe (a must pay for) didn't work, but maintenance came right up and repaired. Mildew all over walls around a/c unit. Sheets looked as if being slept in, totally wrinkled, bedspread and room completely outdated. Wore shoes the whole time while on the floor.

the hotel itself needs a lot of work! but it has the best surrounding neighborhood, not much noise because it is fronting a public parking, hotel location is just 5 blocks from Lincoln road for shopping and dining, beach is just a stone's throw away, near ocean drive for bar hopping and dining, the rooms facing the beach are very nice but rooms needs upgrading, breakfast could be better for the price.

receptionist very rude didn 't get room i reserved .room had black mold if needed i have pics .TV did not work. Phone did not work heat and ac not working.Handle to room was broken so key wouldn't work.Matenance man very nice got to know him cause of all the problems.supposed to get early check in didn't happen once again receptionist was very rude was no help at all.

hotel smells of mold and mildew, carpets are old and doors in rooms don't close. elevators smell like beer. Facility is deteriorated somehow. However, it was not so bad. Staff was friendly and the location is great. They just need to improve the physical aspect of the building.

Location, neighborhood , pool, seaside perfect. The hotel itself is old, filthy, in bad condition, room stink. I enjoyed staying in Miami very much, in spite of the hotel quality.

We got there Saturday morning due to problems on the road and they refused to honor our reservation till my partner had a fight with the Manager to give us a room. There was black mold on the room that reeked with the smell of mildew The room key reader to open the door didn't work and the staff at the desk was rude and disrespectful . A horrible hotel on all levels.They tried to charge me for a safe we never asked for on top of all this a ridiculous place.

Good hotel, old but good location.

The hotel was well located, near the beach. The room was poor, with a big old and noisy air conditioner, but the smell in most floors was really bad. Though the lobby and pool surrounding was ok. To resume, not what i was looking for the pricewe paid compared with other hotels we stayed in...

Disgusting place. Really bad condition place. Definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Way over-priced.

thought hotel was very good for a two star hotel in a four star location. Staff was friendly and responsive.

the front desk attendant, Linda was very nice, but other than that the hotel leaves much to be desired! the room had a very bad smell, there were massive stains on the carpet, cigarette burns on both comforters, and the bathroom was just plain filthy. we had to wear our flip flops in the tub when we showered, it was that bad. the location was great however right next to the W hotel so we could escape and have drinks there. it was right on the strip close to the beach, and New Years eve so we weren't able to find anything else last minute. thank goodness it was only for two nights!! I definitely would not have been able to put up with any more.

Great stay, even if th eplace is a little bit shabby, Nice, competent staff. Great Value. very happy.

Seagull Hotel was a delight to stay in! The bell-hop was their best feature. He was so friendly and gave us great tips on where to go, what to look for, and what was happening in South Beach Miami. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom HUGE. This is an older building, so don't be expecting a brand new Marriott when you book your room. But for the price; it was a great deal for South Beach Miami.

Title says it all. And it has a bit of old-school charm despite being rough around the edges.

Only problem was the air conditioner was not adjustable, so we had to turn it off at night. This led to hearing the noise from the Free Spirits bar outside our window which went on till 6:00 am. Do not get a room on the street and you will be fine. Great location, with Deco Bikes and airport bus stop right there. Sandwiched between two of the most expensive resorts, The Setai and the W, The only tragedy will be when some developer buys this and jacks up the price. I like it just the way it is - a little bit seedy, but staff was nice.

My stay at this hotel was ok, there was a smell in the hallway on the floor that I stayed on. The room walls needs repairs in a few places. The beds were great, the bed comfort was very good. There was a good amount of wash cloths daily in the bathroom, the floors were cleaned every day. The pool area was great, the comfort very good. The beach was right outside the pool area door. It gets no better then that, parking across the street from the hotel, there is a bar and grill next door where the food is great along with the cost. The hotel staff was friendly and helpfull at all times, the morning breakfast buffet was not as good as I thought it would be, overall it was good enough to eat... The chef needs to go back to cooking school, instead of cutting corners with can food. Would I stay at this hotel again.... Yes. For the price and confort, the beach and location... Yes I would stay here again.

The hotel is located in a good area of Miami Beach. But It needs alot of repairs and the cleaning staff need to have more pride in their work. The bathroom was dirty especially the bathtub. It looked like it was never cleaned. The Air conditioner was noisy, the clothes rack was old and rusted. There is no free parking for the hotel guest's and no complimentary breakfast for anyone either. So all you actually pay for is for a bed,TV with minimal channels, and free WI-FI that keeps going out of service. The hotel is also located near other hotels and within walking distance of shopping and fine restaurants.The hotel is rated two stars but I rate it at Minus two.

HOTEL WAS CLEAN,BUT HAD MOLD THROUHUOUT. POOR SERVICE--OVER 2 HOUR WAIT FOR REPAIRMAN TO SHOW AND AND STILL WASNT FIXED BY TIME WE CHECKED OUT. GIRLS BEHIND COUNTER WERE MORE CONCERNED WITH EACH OTHER THAN HELPING PEOPLE STANDING IN LINE,AND GETTING A DIRTY LOOK FOR ASKING FOR HELP. PARKING WAS POOR AND COSTLY. NEVER AGAIN!

Totally ok- and cheap!

The Seagull has a great location next to South beach, but unfortunately the hotel is not well maintained. When we checked in the staff did not smile and greet at all. The rooms we got were in a backyard, dark and dirty. When we complained, they did not apologize, blamed the booking, but there it said pool or beach view. They "upgraded" us against their will and were rude. The rooms are in a poor standard and not maintained at all. Dirty. I will not stay here again.

This hotel is terrible. Pictures online are from 30 years ago i bet. The only good thing about this place is that its right on the beach and close to all the hot spots in south beach.

Very old hotel, A/C needs chaning, and breakfast is expensive and a joke, don't eat in the hotel

All the other hotels in the local area where full. I know this because when I walked into the Seagull I walked out and tried to find somewhere else to spend the night. 3 armed security guards in reception should have been a clue but it got worse when I got to my room. Dirt, stains, rusty bathroom fitting, mould, slashed furniture, wiring hanging out of the walls. Amazingly the bedding was clean. The hotel was full of ferral youths running round the corridors and a party was being held in a room 2 doors away from mine. Security showed no interest in stopping this. I finally gave up and checked out at 6am and slept in my car. The amazing thing is that the hotel's location is incredible. Just off Collins Ave and backing onto South Beach. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Check all the reviews, which sadly i forgot to do, which pretty much repeat what I say.

Excellent location, excellent shower pressure. If i had to do it all over again, I would've kept my money and slept in the car. A great place to enjoy the beach, get a quick shower and get back on the road.

there is nothing extravagant or luxurious about this hotel, but it was clean enough, the beds were super comfy, and the beach was right behind the hotel. would definitely stay again if looking for a last minute, inexpensive place to stay with friends.

My wife & I would have just left this place & walked Collins until we found a decent hotel if we had to stay here our entire vacation. Luckily we had a cruise scheduled & only needed a two night layover. This property was clearly purchased on the cheap & put back together even cheapper. Shame really, the lobby/lounge area are very appealing, but walk outside to the pool area & you see the begining of where the money stopped. Grounds could be nice if just maintained. The room however was a disaster. Base trim peeling from the wall, mold in shower, D grade patch work, a safe you HAD to pay for that could barely fit my wifes smallest purse, a bed with broken down sides. The first laugh was opening the door to see the dresser/TV stand missing 2 of its 4 drawers. I immediately reported this to avoid charges for damage. The front desk was plenty nice & offered to send maintenance to repair. I declined as I didnt plan to unpack my bags in this dirty place anyway. The final wonder was not only was it overly apparent that the air conditioner had caught fire at one time, but it was not adjustable. I ended up needing maintenance to come with a remote to set to MAX cool. Didnt seem to help, couldnt keep the remote, & I could not be certain the man understood me as he didnt speak ANY english. So if you just need a place to hang your hat for the night thats not the cleanest but at least didnt seem to have bugs or anything, then this place is probably one of the cheapest you'll find.
