We had a great time, wish there was one more restaurant option but otherwise, it was perfect. Definitely spectacular for kids. The resort was very easy to manuever around, I loved the openess of the rooms and the golf course view was perfect for little ones, gave them a chance to be outside and play on the grass.

Wish the bathrooms were nicer and they gave more info about the spa. The pedicures were not worth the cost but overall nice hotel

Loved it! Beautiful hotel and resort. Getting outdated though. Need to update.

We loved our 4 days at this hotel, it was beautiful and our 3.5 year old loved the pool and the restaurants. We will be back for sure!

Absolutely perfect place for a weekend getaway. The room was much more spacious than we were expecting which was nice. The view from our room overlooked the golf course and the surrounding mountains. Perfect for sipping coffee on the patio in the morning. The pool was great and the staff were super friendly too. We will most definitely be back!

The phone was dead and no one fixed it after multiple requests. The minibar refrigerator did not work or the safe. The screen to go out on the patio was jammed. I was ready to leave after the 1st night.

Because we live fairly close (San Diego), we visit the Palm Springs area two or three times per year. Rancho las Palmas is now our favorite place to stay! It is a beautiful resort, with lovely grounds, overlooks a golf course, has a fun pool area with a lazy river and water slides, and is located close to restaurants and shopping. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was close to room, right outside the door. We will definitely return for another visit soon.

Staff was friendly. Would have liked to have a newspaper delivered daily. Would have liked turn down service.

We absolutely LOVED Rancho Las Palmas!!! Our room had a great view of the Golf Course and the flower beds and trees were in full bloom. I think that March is perhaps the best month of the year to visit the area. Everything was very green and there was still snow on the mountain tops. We had a fabulous meal at the Blue Ember Restaurant and the service was outstanding. We went to watch the semi-final matches at the BNP Paribas Tennis Tournament in Indian Wells. I'm quite happy that we stayed in Rancho Mirage instead of Indian Wells as it wasn't as crowded and we could walk directly across the street to the River Shopping Center to eat or shop. We highly recommend Rancho Las Palmas for the golf, the great spa, the fabulous "Splash-topia" swimmming pools or just to get away for a few days. We will be going back on Memorial Weekend and are counting the days!

Rooms are recently updated ours had a funky musty mildew smell. Service at pool/waterpark needs improvement. Only one server for entire pool. Took an hour to get a drink. This resort is well overpriced for what it is. They are attempting to be high end and fall well short. I would not stay there again unless the room rate was under $150.

We picked this resort because of the kid-friendly pool and the location. The staff was very nice and attentive. Our room was large and had plenty of space for everyone. The resort is quite large and spread out however, our room was only a short walk to pool. Many reviews had said that rooms were noisy. Not the case for us though. We did choose to have golf course view room instead of pool view. Overall, good place to stay with kids. Only downside is when splashtopia has to be closed for maintenance.

It was horrible that a 4pm check in was not honored. We had to wait another 45 minutes to check in. There was no offer to make this right!!! The worst thing was that I was not the only person who had this problem. There were many many people in the same boat. I cannot in all honesty say that I would recommend this style of treatment to my family so for those reading this, take what you may from this

Very clean and due to the large amount of acreage, doesn't feel like you are at a huge resort. Pool was great - large enough and again, didn't feel overcrowded for what was probably a full house. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for shopping and restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

At check in, the attendant was almost brusque with our standard questions (and there was not a long line), and then I was disappointed to see that there was no usual binder of resort information in the hotel room. There was only a pamplet for the spa and one for the in-room dining. Then, because the hotel allows dogs, when our neighbors went out to dinner, their dog barked for 20 minutes non-stop. I have to compliment the front desk in this regard, though, because they sent security right out to check on the room. Bottom line: we could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms, which, for a resort catering to kids and dogs, is a lot. We made the mistake of trying to come here for a romantic babymoon. I've stayed in 4 star hotels and this is not one. That said, it's a nice hotel, lovely grounds, nice food, nice pools, the restaurant staff was great.

STAY AWAY. You will be terribly disappointed. A Tourism Organization needs to visit and give it the proper rating and classification. We visited this hotel Feb 2013 (Valentine’s Day Weekend Getaway). The accommodations are quite old with very little renovations. *Shower pressure - VERY LOW. *Bath tub drain - DOES NOT DRAIN. *Bathroom Fixtures - Bring something to attempt repairs so they don’t fall on you. *Common walls - So thin you can hear the kids in the rooms next to you crying and yelling. *Ceiling - Ready to hear the upstairs guests’ foot traffic and other late night escapades? *Maid service - They pound on the door at 8am on a Sunday morning, demanding entry. *We asked for a different room, here is the answer we got: "We are at full capacity, sorry"... *The Blu Ember Food: Terrible When selecting appetizers, the tone is set immediately. For example: Ask the waitress what type of oysters they serve, she will say "raw and on the half shell"... The Filet is so dry and tastes like cardboard. The Rib eye is so bad the chef is forced to put a sauce on it. Ask the waitress about it: "I DONT KNOW, I asked them not to do that". With no offer to replace it. Service: Terrible The waitress (Kelly) stops by "Is everything ok?" You open your mouth to answer and she DISAPPEARS. Literally, she vanished. She only reappears when it’s time for the check and she will hunt you down until it’s signed. In conclusion; STAY AWAY. You will be terribly disappointed.

After paying for the reservation., I was suprised my friend who I booked this room for, was charged additional "resort fee" when they went to check out. They were told check in was at 4 but had to wait 2 hours after that. Checkout is at 12 but the pools do not open until 10. Not a very big window to play, if just staying one night. The staff was pleasant, and the pools are great for a family stay. Just wish they could of had more time to enjoy the resort.

This place was heavenly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots to do for the kids in the pool area. Food was delicious, but expensive. Would have liked to have a fridge in my room that I didn't have to pay to use. Resort area was beautiful. Close to shopping but needed a car to do other activiities (balloon ride,outlet shopping) Spa service was excellent. Overall a very decadent place to stay. The only thing that bothered me about this hotel was the "resort fee" which was added at the end of the stay. If you stay at the resort and the resort fee is mandatory, then just charge it in the price of the room. Don't try to trick people into thinking the cost of the room is a steal if you're just going to ding them with extra fees later on. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a very enjoyable stay. My kids' loved the Splashtopia area as my husband, mom and I did as well. Our room was spacious, Bluember was very tasty for breakfast and the staff were very friendly. One thing was that our room key did not work after 12pm. I had previously visited the desk and they offered a complimentary 1pm checkout. My husband went to the desk to get a new key but that key did not work either. I waited outside our hotel room with my 1 yr old, 4yr old and mom for about 15 minutes until we were let into the room. That was a minor thing but nothing that would prevent us from returning to your hotel. We had so much fun!

Overall great stay however the room was never cleaned for us and the double beds were very small and uncomfortable. Also crowded by the pool, no space between the lounge chairs. For a first timer at this hotel i think I will skip going there again.

We enjoyed having a cabana by the pool. It made it easy for all of us to enjoy the pool facilities and not worry about finding a space.

Our room location was poor. Located on the first floor with "golf course" view, all we saw was an large green screen surrounding some type of construction area. Not sure if this was because we used hotels.com instead of booking directly with the hotel.

We stayed before but we were in a new room. The room we stayed in was far away from all the emenities. The room needs to be upgraded. Why charge the same fees for a room that has not been upgraded?

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. The front desk service upon check-in was horrible, housekeeping never refilled our refrigerator, coffee, etc. We had to pay for an in-room refrigerator. The "resort" did not have snacks, drinks, etc readily accessible. I will NEVER waste my money there again.

i loved it! however the in room snacks looked a bit old. just a little.

Loved the room and the spashtopia!! We're a little disappointed that the waterslide was off but it was for maintenance so we got it. The rest of it was fabulous! We have stayed here before and our kids ask us to stay there every time! Great service and really well maintained!

I have been here several times to get away with my husband. I must say each time we go there is construction going on. This time they had the slides shutdown while they worked on them and the coffee shop. I would recommend you call before you go there to see if anything that your looking forward to is closed down. There wasn't any noise from the construction going on during our stay. We enjoyed our time hanging out in the lazy river and we received a $50 credit for breakfast. It was a great getaway!

We went to this resort because of the water park for the kids and the slides were closed. Very loud construction was going on all weekend from 9-5 even on Sunday. In the room they had a promotion brochure for kids to eat free in one of the restaurants from 6-8, so we went and when we got the bill they said they were no longer doing that.

I love the lazy river and water slide

definitely the 'Old Palm Springs' style, which is pretty nice. Not your typical new hotel, very comfortable with class.

We have stayed here before and was very happy with our stay but this time we had some issues. When we arrived the Splashtopia was closed and for undetermined time, they kept saying they were checking chlorine levels, one worker said, we are short staffed, not enough lifeguards??? next day, it rained so they closed the pool and splashtopia, then when the weather was nice they reopened the pool only, since they had sent all the lifeguards home they did not open splashtopia. I even expressed my concerns at the time of checkout but did not get any type of a satisfactory answer, very unconcerned at checkout....one of the main reasons why we choose to go to this resort is because of splashtopia!

The rooms are very noisy. In 816 we could follow the late night discussions of our neighbours left and right including every step on the wooden floor from the family above us. In addition the main doors are not keeping a lot of noise out...next to the ice machine this was an other issue...all in all a nice location but rooms should be improved regarding soundproofness. Reception desk was not able to provide an other room, so we left earlier. This was also no problem as we had to pay a "early" leaver fee...it had to sign for this fee at check in...they seem to know why they are doing so :-))...

The walls and doors to adjoining rooms were so thin! You could hear complete conversations. We booked a poolside king, and then asked to be put at the quiet side. I guess I assumed that with this room, you could walk right out to the pool. No! You had to walk out your front door, down a flight of steps, and around the building just to an entrance to a pool! And the crazy, busy kids one at that! The only thing I was satisfied with, at this overpriced resort, was the room service. Well done, dining!
