מקום טוב לשהות בו, מיקום טוב והמחיר היה מעולה!

המלון נמצא במיקום מצוין, היה שירות חדרים יוצא מן הכלל והחדרים היו מתוחזקים היטב בהתחשב בגיל שלהם. החיסרון היחיד היה הירידה כל בוקר במעלית לעשות תה וקפה. בנוסף, הצוות היה מאד מועיל! מאד מהנה ומומלץ ביותר!

בסך הכל מלון נהדר! השוער לא היה זמין ל 2/3 מהלילות שהיינו שם והמקלחת איבדה את לחץ המים לזמן קצר. מיטות סופר-נוחות חדרים נקיים ומיקום נהדר!

שהינו 2 לילות במלון הזה. החדרים מעט קטנים אבל משודרגים עם מיטות נוחות. המיקום של המלון מצוין ובמרחק הליכה או בנסיעה מהירה באוטובוס או ברכבת לכל האתרים ההכרחיים.

חסר לו את הנוחיות הבסיסיות כמו אינטרנט (אלחוטי) סביר, שירות חדרים, וקרם לחות לידיים. אבל המיטה הייתה נוחה והמיקום אידאלי.

נהנינו מהמיקום של המלון. זה ממש הסתדר לנו טוב. היה לנו מקרה ביום השני כאשר האינטרנט לא פעל בחדר שלנו. כאשר פנינו לדלפק קבלה הם ניסו לפתור את הבעיה אבל ללא תועלת ושדרגו אותנו לחדר ללא תשלום נוסף. זה היה נהדר!!!! הם ממש טפלו בנו יפה!!!!!!!

אני לרוב בתוך ה-loop אבל החלטתי שהמקום נראה נחמד בהשוואה לחדרים האחרים בגלל הזמנה של הרגע האחרון. הוא במרחק של כמעט קילומטר וחצי מ-"Sears" tower. לא הבנתי כמה רחוק זה באמת יהיה. אם אתה מתכנן ללכת ברגל (כפי שאנחנו עשינו) תוציא 10 דולר ותשהה קרוב יותר לעיר. מלבד המיקום, האסלה נמצאת ממש מול הכיור. אתה חייב להשען מעל האסלה כדי לשטוף ידיים. אני סובל מעט מהפרעת OCD- גם כאשר אני מוריד את המושב באסלה המים בשיקאגו עדיין כל כך חזקים שהם מתיזים החוצה עלי, איכס... מלבד עניינים פעוטים אלו-המיטות נחמדות והנוף של האגם לא כל כך רע.

קניות מצוינות, מיקום של מוזיאונים ותמורה מדהימה על Chicago's Golden Mile ... למה לשהות מעבר לרחוב במלון Four Seasons או במרחק רחוב משם במלון Westin כאשר אפשר ליהנות מהמלון ה-boutique הזה (על ה-National Historic Register) עבור מחיר סביר?

זה מלון קלאסי בשכונה מעולה. הייתה לי בעיה עם כספים נוספים שנוספו לכרטיס החיוב שלי לפני שה-150 הקודמים נוצלו. היום זה ה-14. אני עזבתי את המלון בשלישי לחודש ואני לא קיבלתי שחרור. השוער במשמרת הבוקר היה מאוד מתנשא והיה מאוד גס רוח לאדם שהיה אחריי. באופן אישי, אני סיימתי עם המקום הזה אבל כן, הוא נחמד.

הדבר היחיד שאני יכול להגיד הוא "מצוין", תמורה טובה עבור מחיר המלון, החדר היה במצב מושלם וגם המיטה. מזמן לא ישנתי כל כך טוב. שכונה טובה, מסעדות מצוינות וקרוב לשדרת מישיגן. אז אם אתם בחופשה בשיקאגו, כמוני, תנסו אותו.

delightful small hotel with great bar, restaurant, staff, and location; and did I mention the staff?!!

I stay here often, but they simply must update their WiFi Internet service. Not only do they charge extra for its use, but the WiFi is the slowest I've ever used. They need to provide high speed Wireless throughout and it should be free like very other hotel I've stayed at in Chicago and elsewhere.

Nice little hotel that's conveniently located. Had a bit of difficulty with Wi-Fi, but other than that, a very nice stay.

Great building and location. They room had a nice view and was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the small bathtub.

We have stayed here a couple of times. It's convenient, comfortable, and friendly. However, they really need to invest in more up-to-date televisions and a wider range of TV channels.

Will return on next trip. Very personal, as if coming home. Excellent location, nice refurbishing, everything tip top.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location of the hotel was awesome. Not far from the trains and sites.

It's 2013; Asking me to pay for the internet ($10 a day) is absurd. The staff was less than cordial and all seemed as unhappy to be there as I soon was. Have stayed previously at The Hotel Felix and will be returning there from now on. Too many Hotels to choose from to deal with nonsense.

Great location, with Michigan Avenue right at your door. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My room was very nice and the bed was heavenly. I arrived early for check-in and was given an upgrade on my room. I will definitely stay at the Whitehall the next time I am in Chicago.

Decided on this hotel after reading reviews. Great location, friendly, helpful staff and we loved the room. I will definitely return to this boutique hotel. A very nice change from the big chain hotels.

Hotel is in a great location and well maintained for an old structure. Rooms were small, but comfortable, especially for a 3-day stay. My disappointment was that internet was $10 per day per device and telephone was $.10 per minute. An 800 number could be called for 30 minutes, but charged at $.10 per minute afterward. I couldn't use this for a 3-hour board meeting conference call. A prepaid calling card wouldn't work for an 800 number. I had to use my cell phone, a less reliable and static-free method. It seems like every other hotel offers free internet wi-fi and long distance telephone in the U.S.

I appreciate the proximity to Michigan Ave., without the burden of heavy foot traffic. The hotel is small and not top-of-the-line modern, etc., but it has all the comforts you need: comfy bed, warm linens, gigantic tv, etc. I especially enjoyed the Asian restaurant downstairs for a quick snack or drink.

This hotel was so convenient. My room was very nice and those pillows are a dream! All staff that I dealt with were pleasant, helpful and friendly. Two small grizzles: 1) one elevator was not working one day, so there was a long wait for the one working elevator 2) the WiFi is expensive and patchy, in that it often did not work in the room and I had to use it in the downstairs areas. Nevertheless, I really like the hotel and would stay here again

They are still remodeling/updating. We had an old TV, but they are in the process of putting flat screens in all of the rooms. One note, we wish they had a coffee pot in the room. Amenities are very good, good water pressure, good towels. Everything very nice, small lobby, and small elevators. Not that big of a deal, but they are a tad slow and get full so you have to catch the next one. I would stay there again. Got a great rate. Definitely recommend.

We're not sure. The location was great and the staff was very good but our renovated room had a TV that hardly worked, the glasses weren't clean,the bathroom switch wasn't right and the worse thing were the elevators that didn't work so we had to use the freight elevator.

Marvelous location, few steps off Michigan. Room was spotless, great bed, beautiful bathroom. I usually stay at Drake, they were booked. Gave The Whitehall a try. Very good experience, would be perfect if they had an ICE MACHINE and an in-room coffee maker. I'm not about to pay for room service for ice delivery. The coffee maker is a great amenity in the morning, who wants to go down to the lobby for a cup of coffee? Prior to shower, etc. Not convenient. Great staff, nice little bar. Great value.

Great location, great hotel bar and we were upgraded to a suite for free!! The only downside was that they only had 1 working elevator and it was small and slow. We waited for 2 full elevators to pass us up before we took the stairs down 11 flights will alll our luggage. That being said, if we would have called a bellhop they would have taken our bags and us on the service elevator. But, since my wife and I are both able bodies, we decided to just walk to stairs. Great overall experience of a super classy room with a big 4-poster bed with all the modern conveniences!

Great front desk people. great price and location make up for the dated television and phone. With all that said, the price alone would get me to stay there again. Half block from Michigan Avenue.

It was a great place to stay after they fixed the elevators and we didnt have to take the service elevator. Very clean and people are VERY friendly and helpful.

The Whitehall was in a perfect location and our room had nice amenities and was clean and well appointed. We got to check in early, and when I pointed out that there was no wastebasket in the bathroom or bathrobes in the closet, the staff brought them right away. When ice is needed, the staff come and get the icebucket or bring a filled bucket and trade out for the empty one. There were no icebucket bag liners, which is one of my pet peeves. Do beware of getting a dark room. We were on 7th floor and on the side that looked straight into another building, about 7 feet away. I like to try different hotels, but if I return to Chicago I would probably try them again due to the value, location/comfort, and friendly staff.

Great location, just few steps from magnificent mile of N. Michigan ave, and all its' shops, restaurants, and easy access to transportation. Staff was very helpful. Hotel is old, lobby could be updated. Will definitely return.

Older boutique hotel with a lot of charm. Classy but not pretentious. Definitely a steal for the money!

This is an older hotel with the usual travails--one elevator not working, older television in room, carpets and furniture worn, BUT the staff was nice, especially at the front door and the price was excellent for a hotel across the street from the Four Seasons and in the Mag Mile neighborhood. If your time in Chicago is spent shopping, touring, attending games, etc., this makes a pretty good spot to coordinate your visit especially if you can get an attractive room rate.

My only complaints about the whitehall are the difficulty in getting internet access in the room (and having to pay for it) and the low lighting in the room. Everthing else, especially the staff and the location, was great.

This Old-World, renovated hotel was wonderful. Close to all important locations without the Four Seasons (across the street) prices. I recommend it highly!

In one word, awful! One elevator did not work, and it was substituted with the freight elevator, which was filthy and dungy, and inconvenient to get to. They closed the front door, and made entering and exiting the hotel through a maze difficult. They did not have my reservation when I arrived at the hotel, and neither did they have my colleague's, who arrived the following day. I did not appreciate being awakened by the maid who was cleaning the room next door, nor did I appreciate the nastiness and insincerity of the check-out person who sardonically dismissed my comments about my stay, which she asked for.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel. The customer service was amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I can easily say that it was the most comfortable hotel room we have ever stayed in. The rooms are not large, but the beds are incredibly comfortable and our room was very clean. We enjoyed room service for breakfast one morning and the food was great. The location is perfect because it's a quiet street, but just one block from Michigan Ave and right across the street from the Hancock Center and the Four Seasons. I would recommend to anyone.

This hotel has it all. Great service from the minute I pulled up. Close to everything. The room and the bed were the most comfortable I've had in a very looong time!! Clean, friendly and amazingly comfortable! Well worth the rate.

Can not beat the location for the price. It's clean and easy to get anywhere in the Gold Coast area, no frills and luxury but it works!

It feels like a friendly neighborhood. The staff were unusually interested in the welfare of the guests.

Fantastic location in a great area of town. One of the most comfortable beds ever. Some of the rooms furnishings were a bit tired and the hotel has no real lobby/ lounge to greet visiting guests. Nice remodled bathroom. Considering the great location, the price was fantastic.I was on the West side of the hotel , my window faced a concrete wall, so the room was very dark.Overall a great bargain and an enjoyable stay.

The interior lobby (not the front desk, but further in) and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable. Our room was large with plenty of walking-around space and we slept wonderfully. The service was fine but not "over the top" in the same way other boutique hotels in the area provide. It's not a deal breaker and our needs were thoroughly met, but a certain je ne sais quoi was missing. The location, however, is without reproach: literally steps from Michigan Avenue, quaint local eateries and shops, as well as tourist destinations, and accessible public transit to move throughout the city.
