There were 4 of us girls staying for the BMO Marathon on Sunday May 5th we came down May4 and was pleasantly greeted by the front desk. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary up grade of our room to a fully renovated room with fridge and balcony and pull out hide a bed. We were offered late check out which gave us all enough time to shower after our race then next day, and were stocked with plenty of towels. We had an incredible view of false creek. I will definitely be staying here again as the staff was accommodating, the rooms were very nice and clean/comfortable, and the location was perfect..only a couple blocks to the Canada Line and plenty of shopping and food right at your door.

My last stay here was less than I would have liked so I was disappointed when I realized I had booked myself back in. I said as much to the desk clerk. After a key problem I got settled and the staff and hotel lived up to the stay I expect at a quality chain. The dining room is great for breakfast but get out and enjoy all the wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood.

We needed to be close to Vancouver General Hospital.The hotel is within walking distance. The staff was very accommodating and our stay was very pleasant.

Was dark in the room only a couple of lamps, no bathroom fan, pool was nice but a hot tub would have been good as well. And no continental breakfast not really a big deal. The staff was very friendly the lady at the front desk was very informative on bus routes and things of that sort for us to get around easier

It was wonderful stay. We just wish we know more about the room, they didn't have any fan in the bathroom and no fridge.

This hotel was clean, new, had great food and was close to everything. It was very surprising for a Holiday Inn and better than many hotels I have been staying in recently.

We were very pleased with the location, service, quietness and cleanliness of this hotel, as well as the good food at the asian restaurant next door. My only issue was the poor coffee maker, it could have been better and I would have preferred real glasses and cups rather than disposable ones.

The room was nice.. Small but clean well organized and quiet. I booked here because of the pool and gym. I arrived late evening and just had time for a workout and swim. When I got down to the pool there was a crowd in it, drinking, yelling, running around. I decided to go to the gym first but the noise was so loud that down a hall and through another door that I knew I wasn't going to be able to relax. I called the front desk. The manager was on his way and other than telling them not to drink, did nothing. I came back 20 minutes later and then same behavior was continuing. I called the front desk again and the front desk clerk told me I could get up at 5 am if I wanted a quiet swim. Then in the morning I was woken up by the maid walking in, thankfully I woke up when I heard the card unlock the door and before the door was open. You can put all the nice things into a Hotel but it is the service that decides if I return. I have no interest in dealing with this kind of service again. I was over in Vancouver for a medical appointment, so being rested and relaxed was important to me

We toured the Van Dusen Frestival of Lights and it was a great location and the hotel staff were very friendly and informative.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean rooms and great location. A little noise from the hospital but not too bad. Lots of places to eat out around. I would recommend.

convenient location for medical appointments. Easy access to skytrain for travel to Vancouver entertainment district and to the airport. Excellent dining room at the hotel.

Excellent location, skytrain is a few blocks a way and a taxi downtown to the stadium cost us only $10!

check in area infront of hotel very small and taxis block the driveway. We got trapped, taxis blocked going forward and pedistran and heavy street traffic made backing on to the street nearly impossible. Hotel staff could help by having the taxis move forward 100' to clear roadway. Paid parking is not necessary for paying guests. This is a deal breaker for me.

Very nice hotel. Newly renovated rooms. Good location. Walking distance to harbour Granville Island.

Upgraded to room with fridge and balcony...great view. The bathroom door and balcony door in poor repair but room seemed immaculate otherwise. Quick, friendly service.

The crib provided was excellent. Not a playpen like in other places we've stayed, that are impossible to clean, but a mini crib. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the service was great! Nice pool. Would definitely recommend to everyone with or without children.

I booked a room with two beds, one for a school friend and one for myself. Upon arrival, I was lead to believe we were up-graded to a better room only to discover it had a single bed. My friend and I were then down graded and had to move our bags to another room. Not the greatest way to begin my weekend at your facility. I was unimpressed to say the least.

I did not like having to show photo id to check in I don't have to do that at other hotels.

Very comfortable. Horribly noisy ice machine rumbling every 30 mins thru night ,but my fault for not telling management.great location with Sky train and bus service at door. Lovely Charleson park bordering False creek at back door.

Good quality hotel to stay at, close to many shops and restaurants. However, their business centre computers are poor, so bring your own and use the free wi-fi.

Breakfast comparable to that which was included with the hotel cost of every other of the 6 hotels we stayed at during this trip cost $12.95/person!! No refrigerator or microwave in the room - frig was included in every other hotel and usually microwave, as well. Front desk staff very courteous and very helpful. Not including breakfast was very disappointing!

We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre. My husband was having surgery the next day only 2 blocks away. The hotel was recently remodelled, and spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. Our room was elegant with a lovely view of the city and Mt Baker. The room service menu was appealing. The food arrived within 20 minutes. The food was hot, attractive and delicious. The room service fee was very reasonable. The hotel staff were pleasant and knowledgable from housekeeping, food service staff and reception. We look forward to our return visit.

The hotel does not have enough elevators. We ended up going up when we pushed the down button and stopping several times. Our room was near the elevator and there were kids running in the halls yelling at 6am.

We have stayed at Holiday Inn on Howe before 3x. This one is so much better situated...close to"sky train". You can get it from the air port. Close to food outlets, a park, and the sea wall. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful with maps etc

We just needed a place to put our head after a wedding. The room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hot water was plentiful...A little unhappy about the extra charge for parking but otherwise happy.

We were happy to be upgraded to a room with balcony upon check in. The indoor pool was great.

Hotel rooms were nice and spacious, food in the restaurant good, staff very friendly. Renovations were underway so when we arrived we were notified that there would be no power from 10pm to 10am for the first night. They made amends by giving us breakfast each day. Great location for VGH and nice walk to False creek and Granville Island. Lot's of shops and restaurants in area. Good location.

was pleasantly surprised with updated hotel from entering lobby to having two meals in restaurant, both dinner & breakfast,room was lovely, great view from the 16th floor,only negative was location, nothing interesting close by & streets were filthy,but still ok for a one night stay.

All was fine until bedtime, the bed was so high that if, like me, you are older, short and somewhat arthritic clawing way onto it is not fun. Also, our daughter stayed with us the first niigh so we paid for a cot in the room, which requires a new mattress so you don't have to spend the night trapped in the hole in the middle.

Noisy due to renovation work during the day. Very accommodating personnel. Nice room. If you would like guests to conserve on towel usage, install more towel bars!

It's good enough for tourists

It was excellent. Very close to VGH where I had an appt. The staff gave me a map and helped me figure out the best way to get to my destinations. Everything was very clean and service excellent.

This was a great hotel, close to skytrain. Lots of different restaurants near by plus the one in the hotel. Comfortable room and bed. Newly renovated room. very nice. We stayed before 1 year ago and liked it and the location, so booked there again this time. Will defenitaly stay here again.
