Holiday Inn Calais - קאלה

Stayed overnight on way home from holiday in Normandy. Wanted to see the Burghers of Calais Rodin statutes and were not disappointed. Hotel located well for lighthouse and lots of restaurants.

Great Staff who were very kind to the children. Room spotlessly clean but bathrooms getting dated. Ceiling must be very thin because we could clearly hear people using the toilet! Beds very comfortable with extra really nice pillows and blankets. Breakfast was fine and kids eat breakfast free. Would return as staff were very kind and friendly family orientated.

It is good location for a break after traveled from England. A lot of variety restaurants and bars in the surrounding hotel, but it do not have a lot of location for sightseeing.

We first drove up and from the exterior of the hotel, we thought " oh no!". But on entering the hotel we were greated wonderfully in lovely surroundings. Great for a small family especially with childrens meal deal

A good hotel - surroundings scored low as the streets and pavements are being dug up presently - whats finished looks great. Good hotel for the port and railway station - on foot. Children liked the natty telly/games computer console in the bedroom and I found the tea and coffee in the room a welcome. Room spotless. Friendly service on reception speaking either French or English.

Whilst the rooms/bathrooms are in need of refurbishment, the hotel is well located, and it was generally quite clean.

I loved the location of the hotel. The restaurants around it were very nice, but pricey. So, for those requiring food when you get there keep in mind. The port is 10 minutes away, and the personnel was very helpful. Even though i only had to spend only one night i was very pleased!

Hotel is okay for the price. It has a good location for the Channel Tunnel.Bar prices are extortinate @ 8Euro's for a beer.

Hotel is in a good location but is generally a very average hotel. Rooms are okay but bathrooms need attention. Bar price in hotel are extortionate with a large beer costing €8.10.

Great hotel with very nice tasty breakfast very close to ferry port. Nothing too fancy but we were happy with the room, internet and service!

Will definitely go back and spend more time in Calais. Spacious family room.

it was really nice, would stay again, the beds were so comfortable and clean, the staff very helpful. the view lovely. couldnt fault it. never tried food but would next time.

We stayed overnight have stayed in Holiday Inns before and this was on the basic end of the scale Dont get me wrong there was nothing wrong with it but it was just a bit tired looking However it did have a happy hour 2 4 1 drinks between 5 and 7 and there where some very nice and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance so all in all a nice time was had Thanks

Location is right next to the port -- just where we needed to be. Enjoyed strolling the area, checking out the local attractions, and grabbing a quick bite before leaving France.

This was just an overnight stop before travelling home but Calais is a real jewel that many people probably don't see, as they travel through. A good quality hotel that did the job we wanted.

Handy hotel over looking the sea, right next to the port. about 15 minutes drive from the Channel Tunnel & hypermarket. Free on street parking at the front. Safe for car with roof box. Breakfast nice.

Our only disappointment was that having stayed on the wrong side of Calais previously, we had no idea how lovely this part of Calais is, an we should have stayed 2 nights! The hotel is located a short walk from the beach, there was a fun fair near the hotel too much to the delight of my 3 year old. The meals were good, although breakfast is typically French with lots of packet foods and not so much fresh prepared and a little pricey at 15 euros per person although kids eat free. I would completely recommend this hotel, especially for families needing somewhere before getting the ferry, but make sure you leave some time to take in the sights!

Very clean hotel with an excellent room for our family. Family room in our case comprised 2 interconnecting rooms / 2 bathrooms with which we were very pleased. Free internet and hot drinks making facilities Free street parking close to hotel was busy but we had arrived late. Very good value for money.

Clean, comfortable room. Have had better breakfasts, coffee was luke warm otherwise no problems.

They tried to put us in a really run down room until I refused to stay in that room then they did upgrade us to a very nice room, but I would say that was still not worth the money we were charged for the night.The area is very run down and very dirty, everywhere you walk is covered in dog poo and dog ends and down and out homeless people. Never again.

The hotel was very pleasant and right on the beach. When the beach is busy, it is a cheery and active area. It gets very quiet in the mornings. The city sights, such as the Hotel de Ville and the WWII museum were a manageable walk. If you like seafood or beach snacks, there are several options in the area, but otherwise the food is limited. The staff were helpful in either English or French.

The hotel is clean and has a modern feel on the inside. The staff were helpful. I did feel it was quite expensive for a fairly basic hotel, albeit a well presented one.

Good friendly stop on way to holiday if you want to go through the tunnel than rest. My car broke down on route. Arrived a day late and the hotel moved my booking to the next day Free of charge when they were perfectly entitled to say no. How nice is that.

Perfect stop=over Hotel. Located close to m/ways and Tunnel. Despite delay and late arrival (0230 hrs) staff received us well. Family room with 2 beds was ideal. Didn't stay for b/fast. Parking on road outside seemed okay and was used by lots of other travellers.

A nice comfortable hotel close to the ferry port at Calais. Restaurant has great meals at a reasonable price and the staff very friendly.

We used this hotel after getting a late eurotunnel train before continuing our journey. We had a family room. It was perfect for this. Clean, easy to find, friendly staff. We would definately use it again. Our parking was in a locked garage so safe but I am not sure how much parking pace they have so prob worth checking if have availability first.

My family was very happy with the quality of the Holiday Inn in Calais. It is consistent with the brand and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located next to the downtown area and has some good restaurants next door.

This is a decent mid-range hotel, much like any other Holiday Inn or similar. But the staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful, professional, and attentive. Very highly recommended

The staff was welcoming. It is in a good position for an overnight stay before travelling to the UK, easy to find and situated on the sea front!

...this hotel is pretty tired, not up to the standard of some other Holiday Inns we've stayed in. If you just need somewhere to sleep before catching a ferry/tunnel, it is fine. Bed comfortable and pretty room clean, but you wouldn't want to stay for a nice break. Also breakfast expensive for what it is, better to go to one of the local cafes or patisseries.

Clean, comfortable, inexpensive and extremely convenient for the Eurotunnel. Would highly recommend for one night stopovers.

Excellent for an overnight stay. Very comfortable but fairly expensive. Good breakfast and helpful staff but the plumbing could be better.

I used this hotel just for a place to sleep on my way to Paris. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a late check in and an early departure so no facilities of the hotel were used other than the room where coffee and tea facilities were available. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.

Generally speaking you know what to expect with Holiday Inn and while this was typical in many respects, it was at the very lower end of the scale in terms of what you would expect. Room service consisted of a microwave hamburger which tasted worse than it looked ( a real feat).

Très bon acceuil et service, propreté impecable. Idéalement situé par rapport aux ferries pour l'angleterre, ce qui engendre une petite gène au niveau sonore due à ces mêmes ferries.

Séjour rafraichissant et dépaysant à tous points, je vous conseille une journée en ferry pour rejoindre les côtes Anglaises.Personnel très aimable et attentionné, à coups sûr nous y reviendrons. Seul petit bémol, le centre ville actuellement en travaux qui ne laisse pas transparaitre un joli coin pour le moment.

Hôtels très agréable avec vu sur le port et surtout de la place pour garer la voiture. Un ronronnement m'a dérangé une partie de la nuit mais j'ai été le seul à l’entendre... Très bel hôtel avec un bon petit déjeuné. Je recommande pour une famille avec deux enfants.

Personnel très agréable et serviable. Petit déjeuner très varié . Possibilité de rester jusque midi non négligeable.

Très bonnes impressions. La seule chose que je trouve quelque peu onéreuse : le petit déjeuner... 15€/personne me semble excessif pour une tartine, une tranche de fromage et du café... :-/

Bon accueil, belle chambre, confortable et agréable, salle de bain à rafraichir mais propre.
