Crowne Plaza Santiago - סנטיאגו

The Crowne Plaza has been updated and is very nice. The staff and services are very helpful. Unfortunately, the location is in a part of the city where traffic is "murder". Other than that, I would recommend this place highly.

The service and quality were excellent. We only had a short stay between flights (1 night, although we happily paid another half rate to stay until 8pm) enabling us to do some sightseeing and have a rest before our midnight flight. We were able to walk to the Artisans markets, to restaurants, and to the "Funicular" cable car up the San Cristobel Mountain to the statue of the Virgin Mary, the Chile Zoo, and outstanding views of the city and mountains. There were mini-supermarkets and a pharmacy nearby and it was close to the subway. We had booked on the Executive level so that breakfast was included and this was fantastic. By the time we got up we were the only people in the Executive restaurant which is on the 22nd (top) floor with amazing views. Patrick was our waiter and his English and service were outstanding. The food was great with a good variety and he cooked our eggs to our specific request and preference. Staff were friendly and helpful and although most did not speak English there was always at least one staff member who did so it wasn't too much of a problem. We used the hotel's car service to and from the airport and this was fantastic. Our driver (Reuben, I think, or a Spanish variation of this) was absolutely wonderful although his English was about as non-existent as our Spanish). Although the graffiti and appearance of the local neighbourhood might make you question how good the area was, we felt safe walking around and would definitely go back again.

A very comfortable Hotel in a very convenient area

Lovely big comfy bed and black out blinds . Nice and quiet too !

Good if you have business in the area, clean and neat. We were visiting family and stayed in different parts of Santiago and surrounding areas, so this was a functional spot used between more leisurely hotels and thus felt very perfunctory. The surrounding area was loud and dirty, but it was the hotel rooms and services provided good value for the price.

This hotel was about what you'd expect from the Crowne Plaza. No major issues but the hotel is starting to age and the amenities don't really match the price. Beware that if you travel during winter/spring the pool may not be operating (it wasn't during our stay).Staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. Breakfast was a very nice buffet.

Good hotel. Clean and well-organized lobby. Parking available underground. Room a decent size tho' undistinguished. Hotel is quiet, tho' located in central part of the city near major university. Staff courteous and fluent in English. Buffet breakfast ok but not exciting, and the restaurant itself needs sprucing up. Small mall nearby with a limited currency exchange (won't handle travellers cheques, tho hotel will) and a variety store. A marvellous, if colloquial, dining experience nearby, just a block or so, at the Fuente Alemana where delicious sandwiches – try the barros luco – and hot dogs, complete with fine fries (but only before 3pm!) and cold beer, all at a reasonable cost. Nearby a variety of museums, tho' you'll need to take a taxi. A bank machine close by, Santender, tho I did not use it. If willing to walk three blocks, go down to Portugal street to find a supermarket (especially for wine), fruit store, and bakery. Would stay here again (this my second visit) if wanted to be in the centre of the city.

Excellent service. Friendly atmosphere. Beautiful view of the Andes from the room. Very closed to lots of interesting places , buildings , university , parks and probably old parts of santiago.We stayed four nights. Very good for older people.

Great room, great location to see Santiago. The hotel was spotless and the bed linens were top quality. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I would probably stay here again. A good hotel with large, comfortable, modern rooms. Convenient access to metro (Baquedano station) and Providencia (lots of good restaurants). Very friendly and helpful staff. My only problem was with the room cleaning service. They forgot something every time they made up the room. One time they didn't even leave us any towels. However, these problems were rectified in less than 5 minutes after calling the front desk.

We were in the middle of the old city, very well located. One of the best reasons for staying in this hotel is Lillana OIrellana the Front office Supervisor. She made sure all our needs were met and with true professionalism. All the staff were helpful, many not speaking English. We would stay at this hotel in the future.

The hotel was extremely helpful to my son who was stiuck in Santiago by himself for a few days with a bad case of food poisoning They provided him with doctor and were very friendly. Most of all, the hotel representatives were extraordinarily helpful in finding a place for him to stay quickly and the right place. They checked with the hotel while i waited on the phone to make sure he had a quiet room. I had to extend his stay twice and the hotels.com reps ensured he would be able to stay continuously in the same room and was comfortable.

Estadia agradável, sem incidentes. Não encontramos locais próximos para o café da manhã, como outros visitantes já relataram. O jeito foi ir até o Patio Bellavista, onde há muitas opções de restaurantes.

Hotel digno das 4 estrelas. Ótimo serviços, qualidade, manutenção, limpeza de quarto e conforto. Excelente localização e arredores do hotel, com o bairro BellaVista ao lado, onde há vida noturna agitada e cheia de bares e restaurantes.

Proximo ao metro, atrações turisticas e ao Patio Bellavista(restaurantes).Café da manhã muito bom. Boa piscina. Aconselho a não comprar passeios no hotel, uma vez que os preços são muito mais caros do que você ir por conta ou comprar fora.

Hotel em localização estratégica, muito confortável. Café da manhã bem servido e boa estrutura de lazer. A vista dos andares mais elevados é muito bonita! Dois pontos negativos: estacionamento para hospedes muito caro: 20 dólares a diária. E o segundo ponto negativo é que as janelas dos quartos não abrem, desse modo não existe uma circulação natural e efetiva de ar. Péssimo para fumantes!

One of the grande old dames of Hotels. Crowne Plaza are a reliable chain which really never disappoints. Our room was on the 11th floor, great view, big room, well afforded, nice bed and TV with all the normal cable channels. Rather small bathroom with rather poor water pressure. However, acceptable and everything worked. Good and large breakfast although cheese is rather poor as in all of South America. Happy with overall stay but almost 200 dollars for a one night stay is hefty when you compare to the competition. You can find hotels of equal standard for at least 50 dollars less. We only had one night and day in Santiago so location was at a premium. Still recommended if you can find a good rate!

HOTEL MARAVILHOSO COMO APRESENTADO.........SERVIÇO DE PRIMEIRA..........EXCELENTE LOCALIZAÇÃO A PÉ, METRÔ OU ÔNIBUS.......SHOW.......................

O Crowne é um ótimo hotel, muito bonito e limpo, quanto a localização é perfeita, perto de tudo, faziamos tudo a pé. Os quartos são muito confortáveis, a cama e banheiro são ótimos. O único porém é que a divisão dos quartos é feito em drywall então é possivel escutar toda a movimentação do quarto ao lado (isso diminui a privaciade). Ah também optei por uma estadia sem café mas me arrependi, não tem muitos lugares de café como Buenos Aires e para fechar depois com o hotel eles cobram mais caro.

Ótima estadia e excelente localização. Refeição no hotel é cara mas muito boa. Recomendo.

A estadia foi boa, pelas condições positivas das acomodações. Porém não posso deixar de comentar que algumas facilidades (ou atrativos) do hotel, divulgados no site, como a piscina e a hidro, não estavam disponíveis, o que causou grande frustração à minha filha. Outros pontos negativos: café da manhã excessivamente caro; água do frigobar absurdamente cara e Internet paga nos quartos... Não voltaria lá com essas condições.

Ótima! nos sentimos em casa neste hotel. O serviço do hotel é realmente excelente, recepção, cozinha, lim[reza, uma equipe educada e preparada para receber e orientar os hóspedes. A manutenção do hotel merece certo cuidado, achamos o carpet um pouco sujo e o box do banheiro pequeno. Um microondas seria bem vindo para quem se hóspeda por mais tempo. Considerando o valor da diária, o café da manhã deveria estar incluso. Alocalização do hotel é muito boa, duas quadras do metro e próximo a vários passeios turístico.

El hotel está un poco viejo, no tiene una mala ubicación, está cerca de plaza de Italia y muy cerca de un barrio bohemio precioso de Santiago que es el Barrio de Bellavista, cafes teatro, musica en directo, muy guapo. Lamentablemente la conexión wifi era muy deficiente, casi no pude trabajar y de hablar por skype olvidate, creo que eso fué lo peor ya que en estos dias considero eso tan indispensable como un buen colchón.

Pouco ficamos no hotel. Quando chegávamos dos passeios íamos jantar na Bella Vista, que se situava muito perto do Hotel. Por isso o hotel foi bem conveniente. Recomendo pela limpeza e conforto.

Otima estadia, porem o hoteis.com deveria habilitar estadia com cafe da manha.

Excellent hotel with comfort and good location.

O hotel é bem localizado, perto do metrô e de muitas atrações turísticas, facilitando bastante o seu acesso. Seus apartamentos são muito amplos e confortáveis. O banheiro é ótimo (chuveiro e banheira). A decoração é moderna e agradável. O hotel dispõe de sauna e de uma quadra de tênis, o que é muito bom. Pontos negativos: O restaurante possui comida razoável. Recomendo almoçar ou jantar fora. O café da manhã é muito caro! Recomendo negociar a diária antecipadamente com a inclusão do café da manhã, que costuma não constar da diária. Falta um concièrge. Não existe apoio do hotel para nada. Não prestam informações sobre "tour" de qualquer espécie, o que é lamentável para um hotel 4 estrelas. Conclusão: mesmo com esses pontos desfavoráveis, recomendo o Crowne Plaza Santiago.

Ótima localização. Próximo a metrô, a casa de cambio e ao BellaVista. Pontos negativos: apesar de reformado, o chuveiro ruim, sem tapete antiderrapante e pia entupida. No dia q chegamos cheiro forte de tinta no corredor do andar do quarto. Cuidado com os taxis especiais do hotel, preços abusivos, até 5x + q taxi comum.

Profissionais muito atenciosos. Belas instalações. Boa localização.Pena que a piscina estava em obras. Caso o café da manhã não esteja incluido no preço do quarto, sugiro tomá-lo fora, pois o custo benefício não vale.

Tudo muito bom Musica do bar de excelente qualidade. A ressalvar que o hotel deveria ter aviado que a piscina estaria em obras. Afinal esse serviço faz parte da diária.
