Crowne Plaza Tysons Corner - McLean - מקלין

Have had mixed luck with Crowne Plaza, hotels but this one was attractive and well located for my purposes. Ease of access and signage to the building could be better but that was only a minor issue and staff were both attentive and well trained.

Parking was convenient, hotel staff was young and friendly, and we weren't disturbed on either of our two nights.

Typical hotel room. Supposed to have free breakfast with room, but tried to charge us for buffets for a 3 and 7 yr old. Did drop the charge when we fought it, and were very polite about it - 15.00 for a 3 yr old eating at a buffet seems ridiculous to me (think she had a piece of toast) but waiter seemed a bit jaded. My only critique was a mandatory charge for housekeeping?? I thought tips were supposed to be obligatory and at the discretion of guest. If not, then it's a charge, not a tip. Wonder if housekeeping actually see this "tip"

We're happy about our stay at this hotel, iit was clean and comfortable. However, it seems like there was an issue between Hotels.com system and the hotel. We booked this hotels with two double beds through Hotels.com but we checked in, the room only has one king bed. We talked to the hotel's manager and he was able to switch us to another building with two double beds. Similar issue also happened to us in Miami, FL.

Very nice staff. Room was a tad tight with 3 adults and a child. Very clean and close to shopping destination.

I really enjoyed my one night stay at the hotel, it was nice, quite, clean and good. My only advise would be if you are trying to decide if u want the breakfast included or not, I say take it! It is very clean and put together. But if you were more a Starbucks fan than don't take the breakfast option because there are 3 Starbucks in the area 2 in the mall and 1 next to whole foods which is right next to The Westin hotel in the area:) I stayed there on a Saturday and checked out Sunday! It is within a walking distance to Tyson's corner and there is a gas station also within a walking distance. Nice resturaunts in the area including inside the mall itself. If you were like me and prefer spending less in hotels but perfer them to be in a nice area than this is the hotel for you :) I will stay there again.

The hotel was overall clean and seemed well maintained - although the lobby and elevator were Very cold. The hotel staff were all friendly and obliging, and the convenience of two large shopping centers and lots of dining options was a plus. The physical location in the Tyson's area is a bit confusing at first. The bed was comfortable, and the temperature control of the room was easy and efficient.

I was happy with my stay. The hotel was clean, with a nice pool,gym, and restaurant. The room was a little small, but sufficient for our short stay. I would stay here again.

I was in town for the weekend on business. Hotel staff was extremely professional and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable - just what I needed.

Heating unit had a slight rattle sounding like a bearing going bad but, otherwise, everything was great!!

The room was neat and clean and the staff were polite, but I was a little disappointed that the indoor pool and whirlpool were down the whole 2 days we were there. The bathroom was a little small but nice and we had a quiet stay on the floor we were on. The breakfast was very good in the Tuscan Grill.

Purchased room for nieces visit. They loved it

The A/C unit was very noisy, it did not let us sleep, but other then that great hotel with very freindly staff.

Comfortable bed with variety of pillows. Complimentary full breakfast was included in the rate. Ample free parking available. Front desk staff always friendly and eager to help. We noticed a Metro station is being constructed in Tysons Corner. Would stay here again next time we visit D.C area.

we had a good time. You can see that it's an older hotel, but they have kept it very clean and neat. Hotel staff was very nice and we had a great time!

Great hotel, Excellent service, with a nice pub on sight. Will definitely stay here again. This will be prime spot once the Metro line is finished.

Overall it was nice stay: beds very comfortable, spacious parking.

Poorly run hotel with a staff that could care less about their customers. Much better hotels in the area for the same or better price.

We jhad a great stay at the Crown Plaza. The hotel was clean beautiful close to the metro. Abraham at the front desk was so polite, everytime either my husband or myself went to the front desk for any reason Abraham knew our name immediately. I think that is a great trait in any person in this type of business. Plus the fact that he was extremely helpful with any request we had. We would definately stay there again.

Hotel, staff, service is great....food in dining areas and room service is very average.

I only stayed one night at this hotel and overal i really enjoyed the staff , especially the front desk personel were really helpful and nice. Yet, my only complain is about the room service when i called and 5:45 for a bottle of water and they told me i had to wait till 6 for the room service to open, although most hotels offer unlimited complimentery water, I had to pay for mine. We ordered breakfast for our room and everything was overcooked. When I menitioned it to the Front desk after checking out , there were no actions taking in place for the matter.

Extremely clean hotel, good room service, loved the hot tub and indoor pool. Excellent hotel for price.

The only reason i'm giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because in the past i've found rooms with the more ammenitites for the same price. No complaints though. Nice, clean, see the beltway and a couple of malls from the window. I opted for the lowest end price, smaller room and queen bed..... just basic bed and tv.
