Beautiful location, great food and friendly staff.

The location was absolutely beautiful. The hotel is on the older side and can use some updating. The restaurant was great. Our room was oceanfront with a magnificent view but despite running the ac the room was musty and moist all the time. We arrived early but they didnt have a room for us until 4:15. Apparently they let their platinum members check out late and the people in our room didnt check out until close to 3pm.

Great place, clean & comfortable friendly staff. Location is great will stay there again.

The hotel was clean, easy to find, and all the rooms had a gorgeous view of the water. The best part was that it was right on the water with private access and it had a restaurant attached - I could've spent my entire vacation there and I would've been happy. There were a couple problems - 1. The walls were pretty thin, I could hear the next door guy snoring 2. The front desk staff, after they were done answering my questions, would just walk away, which was a little weird 3. In terms of the location, if I did want to go anywhere else besides the beach, I would have to drive 4. Parking was pretty bad, especially if there were events being held there. But other than that, it was a wonderful experience and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

This hotel adequately served our needs. Room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of amentities however did not use them as we only stayed 1 night.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and on the beach. The staff is very friendly and nice. The hotel is in need of major renovation. The furniture in our room was in bad shape. The bathroom is in need of up dating. The pool chaises were ripped. With a make over this could be a great place.

The hotel exceeded our expectations, in location, in service, in comfort, restaurant and in price. It was recommended to us by a friend, and we highly recommend it as well.

Food from the restaurant was terrific. Room was comfortable and clean. I could easily hear our neighbors doors and they seem to normally close loudly. Little things like not enough ketchup for breakfast were minor annoyances.

We love this hotel located on the beach nestled among the Boca Mansions. Just south of Del Rey beach and north of Boca Raton. We go primarily to stay at the beach. There is an excellent restaurant attached to the hotel so we do not have to leave the area for all meals. The rooms are clean and have a view of the beach. Beds are very comfy and bathrooms have been upgraded to step in showers that are very nice. Just a little pricey but worth it for a two night stay and our little secret getaway when we want to get out of the Florida Keys

Clean, quiet gem with fantastic beach access. Friendly staff, great food, no hassles.

Hallway smelled of mold. Carpets were old so I'm guessing that had a lot to do with it. No beach chairs or lounges. Had to pay a guy $30 for two chairs for the day. The worst part was how loud the doors closed, even if you tried to close it quietly. We were in a small hallway and our door knob was literally 3 feet from the other door on the small hallway. They were going in and out until 2AM. Never heard them at all, just the loud clang of the door mechanism when the door was shut.

Really a beautiful, quite, clean and relaxing place. Really great to sit in the restaurant overlooking the ocean, or you can sit outside dining overlooking the beach and the waves in the evening. Very nice staff, great location, fantastic beach.

Was friendly staff, nice room overlooking pool and parcial ocean...on the beach is always a plus..only neg was maybe off season a lower price ): to add ,the best brunch in southern Florida............

Hotel was in a very nice area. Definitely needed sprucing up. We were there for a surprise birthday party for my son. When I came up from the beach at 3:30 to get ready for the party, I found our room had not been cleaned. the cart was outside our room, but no housekeeper. They called her name in the halls and looked for her for one hour but to no avail. I was actually worried about her. She finally showed up to clean with no explanation. Almost missed the surprise. Also called for a 6:00am wakeup call to catch flight home. they called at 7. Almost missed flight home.

My husband and I found ourselves in need of alternate accomodations at the last minute. After reading the reviws for this hotel we were able to book it and check in with 20 minutes. We had a very enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The ammenties were wonderful, loved the pool and restaurant! To top it off we were right on the beach. We love this area of Florida and will definately be back!

I reserved an ocean view room and got a fabulous spot on the first floor of the tower building. We walked out a sliding glass door of our room, stepped onto our private little patio and on to the beach. That was truly worth the small extra cost. The hotel overall is slightly dated but adequately maintained. My mediocre rating of cleanliness is due to the abundance of black soot on the back side of the curtains that hang over the air conditioner. The pool and surrounding area are beautiful and immaculate. We didn't eat in the restaurant but our relatives who we were visiting told us that the food is excellent.

Loved the location - well worth the extra cost for ocean front room, the beach was beautiful! Rooms are decent - could use some remodeling but were clean and not tiny. Food at restaurant was very good - little pricey. Really nice set-up with the pool and hot tub. Overall very satisfied and would return.

Excellent location, very easy access to beach. Always had a hard time finding parking spot, pool and restaurant seemed to be a big local attraction so the hotel patrons would not have parking. Hotel staff did not seem to understand the "yes" mentality.

If you want an ocean view, book a "superior" room, which we had done. The receptionist was putting us in a "standard" room on the first floor overlooking the parking lot, until we pointed out that we had booked a larger room with a better view (and paid a higher rate for it). The staff was friendly and the breakfast, included in the price, was excellent and quick and included just about anything on the menu. The beach is lovely, but otherwise there is nothing around the hotel. The decor is dated and looks old, but it was clean and comfortable.

Oceanside Hotel with a great view and clean beaches. Wife an I would return and will. Front desk staff was great. They had cab waiting for us ontime.

Right on the Ocean, great area. they are working on the outside...new furniture, but the rooms need serious sprucing up. Food in Latitudes restaurant is above average. Excellent service, in restaurant. Good experience for the price...

Highland Beach Holiday Inn has a great location with a good pool/ hot tub arrangement. We enjoyed our room with an ocean view, but it needed to be updated. Paint was chipped, vents rusty, and furniture and bathroom fixtures were worn and covered with nicks. The carpet in all the public areas was also very worn out. If you can overlook these types of things in a hotel, you will love this place because of the quiet location.

The second night we were there it poured and we could hear a glugging sound like water pouring out of a jug under the floor near the outer wall. The noise persisted so we asked to change rooms, which was great, except the next morning we woke up and the carpet by the window and outer wall in our new room was completely soaked. It didn't mess and of our stuff up and we were only sleeping there, so we didn't bother to switch rooms again, but when we told them at check out they just kind of said "huh," no apology or $$ of the rate or anything. Bizarre,and it's not cheap enough to be ok with the room flooding!

An amazing view...same feel as a 5 star hotel...luxurious view and restaurant directly overlooking the ocean. Nice, comfortable room with great, clean bed.

Absolutely loved the hotel. Right on the ocean. Beautiful views. Staff however, was not guest friendly. Understood that certain types of guests were treated differently than others. If you can get past the poor attitudes of some of the staff, then this hotel is a must! Absent that, pick another spot to enjoy the waves and peace of mind.

An undiscovered gem amongst the "ritzy" choices between Boca Raton & Palm Beach! Brings back the memories of what South Florida was like in the 60's! True "Holiday Inn" hospitality!

If you want to relax and not be bothered by anyone or kids this is the time of year and place to go!! It was wonderful!! parents had children under control no fighting or screaming all around very good children. We recommend this place for family vacation or just for husband wife time. Great job you guys @ Holiday Inn in Highland Beach..

NEEDS REFURBISHING - OLD AND WORN BUT CLEAN - LOUNGE DRINKS $20 FOR 2 - NO NUTS OR ANY FREE SNACKS.

My family stayed here because we wanted a nice beach location. The beach was beautiful and private. Very peaceful. However, there wasn't much in the area for kids/teenagers to do. We ate at Delray Beach at an awesome Italian Restaurant but it was more for the adults than the children. I would recommend this hotel for honeymooners who want some quiet, alone time at the beach. My husband and I would like to go back again, without the kids. Hotel beds were very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were adequate.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and this time our room was more up to date as far as dacor. We love the ocean and we had a lovely view of the water. The beds were comfortable and clean as were the bathrooms. Had plenty of fresh linens. 'We ate breakfast and lunch which were both lovely with a beautiful view on the water. We would recommend this hotel.

This is a nice hotel on the ocean. The concierges were very helpful and pleasant. This is a popular hotel and consequently does have some wear and tear. The furniture was chipped and the hotel shows evidence of being older. The location is excellent, however the hotel could be updated for the price.
