The room was upgraded with the new wood floor, but was it. The bathroom was terrible. It had peeling paint and did not have an exhaust fan. There were not enough outlets and the outcovers were either broken or missing. We had 2 double beds and 1 day housekeeping made one bed but not the other. The fridge's adjustment knob was broken and it froze whatever we put in there. The breakfast was good. I would not stay there again.

The hotel was in a good location, reasonably priced, and had a decent free breakfast, but our room wasn't very clean (we found popcorn under the bed, the floor mat in the shower was full of mildew, and a towel had a big, red stain on it). The pack-n-play they provided for our child was quite stained as well and they didn't offer us any sheets/blankets with it. Unlikely to return to this location.

yea I am not a neat freak and could careless if the room is spotless, but was up to my par. The staff let me have late check out. close to the asheville downtown area and seemed to be in a good part of town. the breakfast was truly a site to see with maybe 40 to 50 items; 3 kinds of pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, 4 kinds of cereal, fruit,biscuits and gravy.

Good price and included breakfast was excellent with good coffee (a must!). Hotel staff was knowledgeable and provided good maps and directions. We were very satisfied and would definitely stay there again when visiting Asheville.

Drains need some work, but otherwise an excellent stay.

Hotel was clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the free breakfast. Hotel is older so there is some wear and tear. Overall very pleased with my experience.

good value for the price, clean, and great breakfast

The hotel shows signs of age, but it was clean. The complimentary breakfast was good for a hotel like this one. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, through an oversight in booking, we had a smoking room (did not know smoking in rooms was still allowed), so we had to put up with the odor during our visit and on our clothes after leaving. The hotel was fully booked, so they could not move us to a non-smoking room.

clean, Comfortable, convenient. Great breakfast. Plenty of restaurants close by.

Everything was perfect! Couldn't have asked for more. Had a girls weekend with my best friend. The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were clean

This hotel is in a sketchy neighborhood but close to the heart of downtown Asheville. The price is worth it if you don't plan on staying in the room very much. Room was clean enough but sink did not drain and the overall maintenance of the hotel was a little sub par. We came up for a concert at the Orange Peel and were basically only in the room to sleep. It worked well for that purpose.

Enjoyed the stay overall. Great location surrounded by great resturants and bars. Plan on staying there again in the fall!

Rooms were above average and the location was pretty convenient to the places we wanted to go. I had expected hardwood floors from the pics that were online when this motel was selected, but the 2 rooms we had were carpeted. The mattress in one room was very good, but the other room's mattress was not. The staff was most accommodating and the breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Bed was great, bathroom was scary.

Very happy with our stay...no complaints! Their breakfast was awesome especially on the weekends! Would recommend this place and would be happy to stay again. Thanks to their staff and mostly to their cleaning lady.

The problem was the noisy guests. Otherwise a great buy for the money.

tile foors and winter do not mix

The hotel is centrally located to everything. It is clean, neat and kept up. You can not beat the price & the breakfast is AMAZING!! 5 different cereals, coffee, hot cocoa, cappuccino, eggs, bacon, sausage, 3 kinds of pancakes, waffles, pastries, breads, biscuits, bagels, oatmeal, grits, lots of fruits, cottage cheese & the list goes on and on....

I booked this hotel because of its location, free wifi and breakfast. The location was great but the breakfast was just okay and there was no wifi access in the rooms. We even switched rooms to get wifi access and it still didn't work, the hotel staff simply asked that we call their tech support which wasn't helpful either. I would not stay here again.

The hotel was older, which is fine, but they need to do some up keep on it. The beds were ok for one to sleep in, but you put two people in the same bed and it was about like sleeping in a bowl, very uncomfortable! The food was awesome and the service was great!! They just really need to improve or update their beds and toilets.

We stayed here for one night on our long road trip. We liked our room just fine. I read about the wood floors before I booked it and thought it might be strange. I am now a fan of it. Hotel room carpets are sketchy at best. All the staff were friendly and smiled. I will definitely stay here when we come back this summer.

We have stayed in Asheville many times over the last few years and and have tried several of the local hotels (under $100 range). While this was not the newest or shiniest we have stayed in, it certainly wasn't the worst. The location is excellent, close to downtown, and they absolutely have the best breakfast of any hotel we have stayed in, anywhere!

Room very clean and updated. New mattresses would have made hotel just right.

Clean room, fast check in, very courteous and helpful staff, one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in a hotel at this star level! How wonderful to stay in a room where everything works, and the location was excellent, very quiet.

The staff was very nice. They were very accommodating when my plans changed and allowed for a late check out. If I had to return I would stay there again

Everything was perfect except our internet (wifi) connection. They reset the router and so on, but nothing helped. That was the only issue. The breakfast was PERFECT and amazing; I have never seen such a large selection in any other hotel ever. The clerk was wonderful and helpful and everyone was pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Looking forward to coming back again!!

This is not a destination resort; it's an inexpensive place to crash in the middle of Asheville. As such, it functions very well: pretty clean, happy staff, good breakfast buffet, great location, safe, quiet. They make the best of an older facility with what looks like original furniture. Want the Grove Park Inn? Drive a bit farther and pay several times more.

Great place to stay. I was a dancer at the Heritage Ballroom Classic and this is the first time I've not stayed in the hotel where the competition was held. The FULL breakfast bar was awesome, what a pleasant change from the ones with powdered eggs and pastries. Only two comments I would make, there was a great desk area, but no outlets to plug in my computer, charge my phone, etc. The HVAC unit was a little loud. Would definitely stay here again.

My stay was okay however, I was given a handicapped assessible room and the bathroom was freeazing, the water pressure was terrible too. However, to be fair the hotel room was very clean and equipped with a cooler and microwave and the location to all of Asheville was convenient.

Was a great price. 54 a night. Room was clean. Flat screen tv. Bed was reasonably comfortable. The free breakfast was actually decent. My only problem was ine day the maid did not clean the room or bring new towels.. but i called the front desk and towels were delivered promptly
