My husband and I stayed there one night after 14 hours on a plane. It was great! Very clean and beds were very comfy.

Good....exactly what we needed at this time....clean but older than i thought.....satisfied overall...

We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was of concern was that the breakfast buffet choices should have given guest a little more options.

The only problem is the hotel has a very slow wireless internet service. They are still running on old 802.11b service.

The hotel met all of our expectations and we would not hesitate to return. However, if your business is in Portland it is a bit out of the way. Also, there is nothing aesthetic about the area, which is strip mall and commercially oriented

Bed was comfortable but overall condition of hotel was old. If you are looking for a nice place to stay this is not it. Stay here only if you do not care for appearance.

The hotel was older but well kept and clean. Rooms were very satisfactory. Staff was exceptional and very helpful. Location is great if you are there to shop which we were. Overall worth the price of a night's stay!

This was a Gem on our trip to Maine. Lovely ,comfortable spotless room and great breakfast! A wonderful way to start our 12 day tour of Maine. Skip was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and other things to see and do.

Wonderful room, great hotel and staff, excellent food in the restaurant. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall a pretty good place- good access to downtown Portland- 10-15 minute drive- free breakfast was fine- nice to have free internet access; nice outdoor pool; good (small) jacuzzi; good cable TV selection; and helpful / competent front desk staff for the most part. Room was good- roomy, good shower, etc. Only mess-up was one day the maid service missed making up our room.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Hotel employees were very helpful and courteous. The Continental breakfast was very good. We found our way to downtown very easy to drive. We would stay at the Fireside again.

It was great

The hotel is family friendly. We just had one issue with our card keys not working and continental breakfast is at bear minimum but otherwise OK.

We stayed overnight because we were "passing through." Excellent value for the price, especially compared to other hotels in the area. The grounds are well-kept, the staff are personable and friendly. Bed very comfortable; bathroom quite small. Overall, we were pleased and we'd come back. Thank you!

We were only looking for a place to sleep after a concert, so didn't expect too much as far as amenities go. However when we checked into our room late at night, there was a pile of dirty sheets on the floor, and an open soap from the previous guests in the bathroom. Our sheets were clean, but looked like the cleaning service didn't quite finish the job. When we called down to let the front desk know, they asked us to put the sheets in the hall. Not exactly the response we were looking for, but we were tired, so just wanted to go to bed. Compared to other hotels in the area, this one was pretty affordable, so I guess we got what we paid for.

I would like to suggest the manager to check how clean is under the beds, and the windows need a cleaning too. When the first day we went for our continental breakfast, at 8 oçlock, we did not find fruit salad. Though we wait, it seems the people were forgotten us, the customers. 15 minutes later they brought it, but the next mornings we decided to go to Panera, on the other side of the street. There we found other customers.

Our first impression of the Fireside Inn and Suites was great! The staff was very friendly, and amenities looked wonderful. Our room was a little dingey, and had weird smell. There were spill stains on the floor near the entrance to our room by the vending machines. The stains remained on the floor for 4 nights - Yuck! The gym, and both pools were okay. The continental breakfast was adequate. We we within walking distance of restaurants, and shopping. That was great. The other good thing about staying here was that it was a convenient drive to downtown Portland, Freehold, Yarmouth and points along the shore. We were two minutes from the highway.

Older propery, had smoking rooms next to non-smoking - I haven't seen this in many years. Staff was very nice. OK property for a brief 1 night stay.

Convenient location, comfortable and clean rooms, outside pool very nice, all staff at this hotel were very friendly and hospitable. Will stay there again if in the area.

staff are kind and helpful, our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was included but we arrive and it was almost empty. No more yogurt, no more bread, no croissants, no eggs or bacon ... just coffee, cereals and fruits.

The trip started by not getting the king bed I had set as a preference. You could barely see the TV in the room since they are seemingly over 10 years old. I barely fit in the shower because the shower head is set at about 6'. The manager at the front desk appeared to be interested and placed some blame on the customers rather than going the extra mile. One individual brought back the luggage cart and asked if he could leave it in the lobby. The Manager told him he could return it down the hallway under a stair case over 50 yards away. Figured they would tell him to leave it and they would take care of it for them. Bar was nice and the band was good though. Overall not an awful trip, but most likely would not stay there again.

The site it self could use a little updating. The lobby was nice but the halls and rooms were a little sad looking. The front end staff were very nice and professional. The breakfast left a lot to be desired as there was but 1 choice of bread for toasting and I do not eat white bread at all. Would I tell people to stay here...yes but I would tell them it is no frills kind of place.

The hotel was relaxing and nice. Friendly employees and went out of their way to assist us. Spent 3 nights and breakfast menu never changed. It was full of healthy choices which I liked but my husband, a man of the South, really wished they would have offered eggs, waffles, sausage, biscuts ect... The winding halls were confusing and inconvient if you were going to the lobby or out the front entrance. Otherwise there were multiple entrances to be close to rooms from your car. Would recommend this hotel!

We were made to feel very welcomed. Very convenient location. Friendly atmosphere.We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was great. Nice pools. Well situated with several dining opetions in the area. . Hotel was a bit of a drive to downtown Portland, but easy, anc quick drive to stadium for ball game. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Hotel was fine very comfortable and clean. We could not use the pool as there was no staff to provide towels, chairs etc.. and the weather was perfect to enjoy. At the price and fees we paid, it was not the getaway weekend experience we had planned on. Meal was good food but limited menu.

Overall a very good stay. Location was good, a few minutes away from downtown Portland, north of Boston by about 2 hrs or less and about 3 hrs from Bar Harbor. It was next to a 95 on ramp making getting to and from super easy, but it was far enough that there was little noise from the highway. The staff was super friendly during check-in/out and for other services. They were polite and prompt in responding to request for services. The room itself was nice, we had a newer flat screen TV. Beds and pillows were comfy, the AC/Heat worked well and there was a good amount of space. The issues that we faced were that the pool was on the opposite end of the property, making for cold trips back and forth. We had a leak some where in our bathroom near the tub, resulting in water being on the bathroom floor constantly. Finally the hot water control was more art than science. But all other factors considered, it was a great stay.

The lobby was beatiful, as pictured but the hotel was dirty and old. The pools were dirty and the inside pool MUCH smaller than pictured...not to mention the room stunk! I would NOT stay here again.

Close to the airport, quick access to downtown and the major highways. The staff couldn't have been more willing to do anything to make our stay comfortable. Did not try the restaurant, except for the continental breakfast, but there were plenty of options within a ten minute drive and downtown was within easy reach as well. Good price compared to the downtown hotels.

This hotel was very easy to find and conveniently located near family restaurants. The breakfast was not great and the room was hard to find so we didn't eat there, but the room was clean and comfortable. The decor is a little worn, but it didn't effect the comfort of our stay. I would stay there again. It is a fine place for the price.

Spacious roadside motel with friendly staff. No major complaints other than a somewhat basic lower quality breakfast

This is, as far as I can tell, a non-chain place. The staff were all extremely friendly, acting as if your business really mattered to them. Overall, the hotel tries hard and mostly succeeds. The hotel seems to be a few decades old, and partially renovated. Some parts of it have a 70s-ish feel, other parts feel newer. The photographs are an accurate representation of the hotel. The rooms were perfectly fine. The free breakfast was a step up from the generic "American continental" fare, which is usually just a bunch of indifferent lumps of sweet carbs. Wifi access was good: good bandwidth and easy connection without various passwords and sign-in pages. The location is pretty uninviting -- I wouldn't want to go for a walk around because there's nothing to walk to -- but that's just the Portland hotel scene for you: you either stay right in downtown or clustered in this area. In this area, I doubt you'd do much better.
