Holiday Inn Austin-NW Plaza/Arboretum Area - אוסטין

Very clean hotel with friendly staff and located between two major highways, however, a little difficult to reach the front door by car after traveling through neighborhoods.

I book this hotel a week before I went down. It was crazy expensive. I asked for a 2 bedroom I got a single king bed, with 3 people on the trip and my buddy has to sleep to sleep on a cot. They said the hotel is booked and there's no extra room. We used their gym and it was a joke. We have gym memberships but there was no LA fitness around the area. Their tv has signal issues, over half of the channels are flickering. We stayed at the double tree on our previous visit and it wa great. Never again holiday inn.

The hotel is difficult to find -- even for GPS. The hotel uses a sports bar as its restaurant (dinners), and because the hotel is smack dab on the freeway, there are no walking options. Being so difficult to find, I was reticent to venture out, since it would take a long time to find my way back. The $20 credit for breakfast was nice, tho.

Loved the location of the hotel. I was about 5 or 10 minutes from everywhere I needed to be. Room was wonderful, the only few things was that the bed squeaked and we were under the ice machine or something because it ran all day until about 10 or 11. I also didn't realize that the rooms faced inside the hotel. Which makes since, since you are in a residential neighborhood. You do have to go through a residential neighborhood to get to the hotel. I almost passed the turn.

The bathroom needs major updating. The bathtub drained very slowly. The fan barely worked so there was too much humidity when you took a shower. When you flushed the toilet you had to hold the handle down for way to long. Also it was very hard to find if you are out of state.

Pillows were lumpy, like really lumpy. Heating system was primitive, pool area kept VERY cold (what is the point) Breakfast restaurant only services generic bitter coffee? Only thing going for this place is the bar inside "Legends". Stayed at a La Quinta up the road night before and it was far better.

I've stayed here twice for a conference in the Arboretum area and have been happy with my stay both times. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, the fitness center had working machines, the sports bar had a fantastic grilled chicken salad, there was free wireless, and there was a great coffee station in the lobby in the mornings...what more could I ask for? Overall, a great experience.

The hotel was VERY clean. The only problem with our room was the hair dryer didn't work. They replaced it as soon as we called. Also we had to call for housekeeping service which was handled immediately. We only had decaf coffee in our room the 1st day. We requested regular coffee when we called for housekeeping and it was provided. Nice touch in reception area was the complimentary coffee in the morning and popcorn and flavored water in the afternoon. The breakfast in the cafe was very good and service was excellent.

Literally the best customer service I've experienced outside of luxury resorts. I'm temporarily using a wheelchair and the staff literally fell over themselves accommodating me. I can't recommend them enough.

We came in late Friday night (actually Saturday morning, around 1:30a), the staff was excellent; got right in. The parking lot was packed because the hotel was full. So finding a spot was a bit difficult. But my biggest complaint was we asked for a sofa bed because it was a king-bed room and we had 3 people staying in one room. We ended up with a recliner instead which only led to frustration. My son had to sleep on the floor on a pallet of extra pillows. But the hotel was very nice and accessible!

My family had a blast. We came in and the front desk were very helpful. We actually added another guest and they were able to accomodate us immediately. We were visiting family and friend for my child's 4th birthday party and we felt really at home. Even though the kitchen was closed for the night when we arrived and settled in. The convenience of the WIFI service made it easy to find delivery. The breakfast was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and my stay was magnificent. I would stay there again.

Front Desk was nice and helpful, however the quality of the hotel was not that great. Old design since it is an older hotel. The bathrooms are not that big and have old plumbing. The worst part of the visit was the big blower carpet fan that was right in front of my parents hotel room. You had to watch your step every time you left their room. Good enough hotel to stay at for a night or so but definitely nothing to brag about.

Great staff, nice hotel, would be good for kids because of the pools, kind of tricky to get to off of highway but not dificult and worth the couple extra minutes to get there, and a great sports lounge w/ good food. Will definately stay there again.

I booked through hotels.com, rooms were nice and clean, I received a $20 dollar coupon for breakfast, and it was excellent. Easy to get to with a gps, will stay again in the future.

One of the worst stay... 1. The room didn't get clean up after we got back @ 1:45pm. Asked if it can be cleaned up after napping around 4pm and the answer is a BIG NO NO... 2. I WAS STUCK in the elevator... come on!!! Management should keep up with the maintenance and their staff!

It was a good stay until breakfast. It took us over 10 minutes to be acknowledged and sat. Then another 10 minutes for drinks. Then another 10 minutes for our orders. Then waited another 20 minutes before asking the waiter about our order and he said "I'll go in the back and check." After a short wait he returns and says "WHAT DID YOU HAVE AGAIN?" We up and left. Having to wait close to an hour for breakfast was ridiculous.

My family and I had to leave and find new hotel at 10:30 pm because we had a puddle of toilet water on carpet next to bed and my daughter got sock all wet. When I asked for a new room, manger said there was none that they were booked. :( also the description of rooms says every room has a sofa bed and only some rooms come with sofa beds. The room we got was small.

Couldn't watch tv, cable was breaking up alot. Bed was hard.

It was good except the bed had a hole in the center and wasn't comfortable.

Great place - just off the freeway in a residential area ... tricky to get there but nice.

The hotel needs to update the website - because there were things we did not get that was listed online. However, I did speak with the General Manager and he was accomodating to our concerns.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Austin Holiday INN. Our room was clean and the staff was helpful.

Very quiet and comfortable neighborhood, close to lots of good shopping. Location is a bit tricky because of major intersection off/on ramps, but with GPS, no problem. We stay here often and now they have wireless in the rooms...even better.

Location great, nice hotel, need king size pillows for the king size bed and a extra blanket in the room! Other than that it was very comfortable!

No cameras no security they broke my back window around 6 am nobody c any thing

very middle of the road

This hotel is located out in the middle of a residential area. It was very loud. I could hear other guests talking, children running around screaming, laughing, playing. I'm not one that complains but this was terrible!!

Was hoping rooms would be nicer. Bathroom light felt like a football field and no hot water.

From the pictures provided on the website, you would think that is one of the newer updated versions of this hotel brand. Not the case. The hotel sits on off the main highway but is kind of difficult to access. This hotel is older and it seems that they are trying to update in some areas, but I was not impressed. I was given an interior room. The only window looked out to a conference and restaurant space and there was an active conference taking place at the time and I could hear the conference and clapping and noise on the 3rd floor after 9pm. Quite uncomfortable. The ac and heating unit was also very noisy when I was trying to sleep. There is no complimentary breakfast. On the positive side, the front desk staff were nice and I did not see any issues with bugs or stuff. For the price that I paid, I was disappointed, it was good for one night's only stay.

The room was comfortable, though, beds were a little small to sleep two. Pool was just okay. Wish the room had fridge and microwave. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked this hotel and would consider another stay.

In Austin, everything is just 20 minutes or less away so don't be scared off by the location, you can get downtown very quickly. The location is a bit hard to find but otherwise a quiet place. I would recommend staying here. The place is very clean and the front desk was very friendly and helpful except that we had checked in super late and the front staff was asleep in the back so that was a little annoying that there was no bell.
