The hotel was very conveniently located to the event we were attending. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. The only con was the parking lot wasn't very well lit and I would have felt unsafe had it not been for my large group.

the room did not have any shampoo, tissues or shower mat when we arrived

The only thing good about our stay was the front desk clerks were very polite other than that it is a nasty poor quality hotel, unfriendly staff, extremely poor quality and overpriced food. Our room smelled like sewer when we walked into the room. I would not recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone. We rented a room for 2 nights but left after 1, it was that bad.

Old but clean. Beds below average. Pillows very poor. A/C worked well in the room. No free breakfast! Parking lot not secured. Location is excellent. Adjacent to Reliant Stadium, literally. 600 yds from door of hotel to the stadium. Lots of great restaurants one block from hotel.

Comfortable stay, excellent service, room clean, expensive though, as I would expect as it is next to the Rel. Stadium. Surrounding neighborhood seems to be walked at night by low income people.

Our stay was great. The only downfall.......while we were there Houston experienced a strong storm which I understand now dropped 1 1/2 inches of rain in 7 minutes. During this time, I assume the hotel has sattelite and we didn't have any TV during the storm and there were a lot of water leaks in the hotel. We went downstairs to the lobby to eat in the restraunt (which was closed) and we had to eat in the bar area and there were trash cans set up in there catching water from the ceiling. Also we saw one person slip and fall in the hallway.

The room seemed a little unclean stains on the bedskirt and carpet and even the room tv guide.Even with that the location is so great we would most likely stay there again. The hotel is in the far parking lot of the reliant stadium just a short walk and your there. It does have a microwave and refrigerator which is nice.

Walking distance to Reliant park/stadium and to resturants. Very clean rooms and comfy beds! Great views.

The reception staff couldn't be friendlier! When I went to my first room, I opened the cabinet where the mini fridge should have been, and it was empty. I had medicine that needed to be kept chilled. I tried to call the front desk to get my room changed, but the phone didn't work. So I took all my luggage back down to the front desk. They gave me another room. The second room had a mini fridge and a microwave oven. When I took my shower, I discovered that the shower curtain rod was attached by one screw on each end, instead of two. That made the curved shower curtain rod hang down,and because it was a curved rod, I wasn't able to pull the shower curtain close to the end of the rod and the floor was soaked whenever I took a shower. In both rooms the air conditioner was extremely loud. Both rooms smelled like air freshener. I will not stay at this hotel again and I will not recommended it to anyone else.

Everything was excellent. Great room, clean and easy to get to. Recommended.

Great area. Convenient to plenty of attractions. Loved being by the stadium. Close to plenty of restaurants. Very nice stay.

The check-in was smooth.We were given a 7th floor room however, when we tried to enter the room with the electronicn keys--none of the keys worked. We immediately called the front desk, nobody showed up. After waiting for more than 15 minutes on the hallway and making 3 phone calls, some one showed up but unable to fixed the keys, however he used his master key to let us in. Then another guy cam to reprogram the lock and gave us a new sets of keys. Then our room airconditioner was not working properly, we set the temp. to 68 but in reality it might have been 75 or so. we registered this complain in the front desk. So please be aware of this when you book this Holiday Inn in this location.

I want to laud Diana at the front desk for solving my problem with the initial room assignment, for very patietly and professionally listening to my problem and moving me to another room. Diana presents a wonderful image and is certainly an asset to your property.

The next door neighbors loud conversations in the hall and slamming of the door every few minutes in the middle of the night. Poor security for such a high volume hotel in the middle of several large event facilities.

We had a nice stay at this hotel. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. We had an issue wit the tub not draining properly, I called the front desk, they were very helpful. Maintenance was to the room in about 10 minutes and the issue was resolved about 5 minutes after they got to the room. The front desk then called to make sure everything else was satisfactory with the room. The hotel is convienient to many restaurants and to the I-610 loop :) Just wish they offered complimentary breakfast :(

Fabulous hotel! Very clean, comfortable beds, great location! The pool and hot tub were great. The Bartenders were a little slow, but enjoying a drink by the pool was worth the wait. We had a great view of the stadiums and easy access through a gate on the property. We skipped their breakfast based on other reviewers comments on here, but there are so many restaurants nearby, there was plenty of other options to choose from. The pool table was a fun touch, and we were very happy that there was no noise so we slept well. I am definitely staying at this hotel again!

room very small but clean. I was surprised that room was not cleaned if you didn't request linens be changed. No dining area but food brought to bar was good.

Good experience, just what we wanted.

It was a great experience for us to stay at this hotel. I would probably prefer to stay again.

The walls are paper thin, so it is extremely noisy.

Thought they had a complimentary breakfast and I paid $28 for biscuits and gravy!!

Stayed here while being an exhibitor at a show at the Reliant Stadium, couldn't be any closer! Can walk out back of hotel and to the stadium, saving money on parking. Hotel has great wifi, included in room, bar area and breakfast restaurant. Room was comfy, only complaints are the A/C unit was incredibly noisy so slept with just the fan on, and the hair dryer provided is on its last leg (made terrible grinding noise on high). Would stay here again!

the lights wouldnt come on at the door.Also my grandaughter left her IPOD on the bed and the covers concealed it.When i called the front desk,they sent someone to check the room and look under the bed.However unbeknowest to either of us the linen had been changed and the IPOD scooped up in the sheets.Presistance told me to call the next day and speak to the supervisor of housekeeping.She asked what color was it,then said it had fallen out in the laundry room.She shipped it back and i am grateful as the child was devestated.My point is,the front desk never said if it shows up,please leave your number and we will contact you.There were no follow up instructions at all. I feel this policy needs to be addressed for the future . I am sure many guests have left belongings in the room and no one ever bothered to contact them.

Unlike most reviewers, I didn't book this hotel because of anything to do with Reliant Stadium. That may explain why I didn't like it. I could see the stadium, and it would be very convenient if you needed to be close to it. I was stuck in Houston and for some reason the hotels I ordinarily use were booked or extra pricey compared to their norm. This hotel was disappointing. I've stayed in Holiday Inns before and this one did not live up to the brand standard (at least of the "newer" models). The hallways were dark and worn down, the hotel had that pervasive humid feeling (I understand it was Houston, but most hotels have found a way to control that) that makes for a general unpleasant feeling, and the room itself felt dirty. The cleaning staff had done its job, but the carpet is worn down and slick, the fixtures are old, and it gives the impression of being unsanitary. One corner of the room smelled as though someone had recently used the bathroom there. I did not involve the staff because I was in a hurry and didn't want to take the time to swap rooms. The staff may very well have handled it perfectly, and I did not give them a chance to do so. They were the highlight of the stay - every person I dealt with was very professional and helpful. There's just only so much they can do in a rundown property in a bad neighborhood (unless you're going to Reliant).

Room not prepared - bed not made. New room key would not fit. Paid more for room than traveling companion who also received free breakfast and I did not. Hotel shuttle not in lobby on agreed upon time.

This worked perfectly for visiting (and walking) to Reliant Stadium the next day. And a good breakfast to boot. Will stay again.

The hotel staff was friendly. The room was big enough to feel at home. Beds were comfy and I really appreciated having a coffee pot in the room, as well as mini frig and microwave. Will stay again.

The hotel was great, the staff was incredible. If there were any problem they made sure to fix the issues right away. I would recommend staying here if you are in the houston area
