Quality Inn Groton - גרוטון

When walking in the the inn you get hit with a musty smell and then going into the room even though the room is clean it has a sweaty smell when going to bed. I don't think I'll be staying at this inn again

This was my first time staying at Quality Inn. It was definitely worth the money. I didn't hear any noise in the other rooms. The room was pretty clean and I was pleasantly surprised. The other issue I had was that the room did have an odor to it. It wasn't overbearing though.

This hotel is the perfect place to get a bang for your buck! Very clean and accomodating.

We were with our teenage kids who went to see a concert at Mohegan Sun, so wanted something cheap but close to the casino. This was perfect. We were able to get two rooms, both of which were clean and for what we paid, quite nice. There is an indoor pool that the kids like. The beds were comfortable. The shower was fabulous. We didn't do the breakfast at the hotel (teenagers up by 10?), but went to a great breakfast place 15 minutes away in New London and it was just perfect. I'd stay again.

My family and I stayed one night at the hotel as we were seeing a concert at Mohegan Sun and didn't want to have a 3-hour drive home afterwards. The hotel was conveniently located off the highway. It was about a 15 minute drive to/from Mohegan Sun. The hotel had a pleasant appearance. Nothing fancy, but clean! The woman who checked us in was very helpful and recommended the 99 Restaurant right down the road for dinner. (Good place! Applebees style restaurant. Good food and service). Our room was very clean and smelled fresh. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom functioned properly. Plenty of hot water! In the morning, the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast which was very nice. Clean eating area. My boys enjoyed the fresh waffle maker! Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and a great affordable alternative to Mohegan Sun's room prices. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous staff! Room was perfectly clean. A little shabby, but fine really.

Stay was OK. Room was average. The heater was VERY noisy. Nice breakfast.

Good, the only issue is that the tub is very cramp when taking a shower

I was hesitant about booking a smoking room, but it was cleaner than expected. Bed was comfortable enough, plenty of towels. No complaints. Would stay again. The receptionist was quite pleasant and had a great sense of humor.

shabby but adequate. close to casinos

the hotel was almost perfect. the room was almost perfectly clean accept for the dust kiddies under the dresser. some of the walls in the common area could use a touch up paint job.

Overall good. The only disapointment was the staleness odor of the room when I first stepped into the room. I though about going back to the front desk and request a different room, but I thought I'll get used to it eventually. Maybe the use of a room freshner would do a lot of good?

Great value, very good breakfast. We stayed here for a trip to Mohegan Sun and it was quick and very easy to get there. We will definitely be staying here again.

We were only there one night and to sleep. We saw a show @ Foxwoods and like the price of Quality Inn. The location from Foxwoods isn't the most convenient but not a big deal...Checking in was painless. The gentleman at the front desk was helpful and efficient. The room itself was clean enough. It did have a slightly weird odor though. The bed was comfortable enough. The room was extremely dry though and we both woke in the middle of the night for water and chapstick. I ended up turning the shower on hot for a bit just to get the steam/moisture into the air. Over all, it was sufficient.

Good value for the price, particularly for a short-term stay. Staff was friendly and courteous.

Not far from Foxwoods, a great alternative! I will definitely return again!

We stayed one night to go to mohegan sun and it was perfect. Rooms are out dated but that was expected. No issues with surrounding area. No evidence of any bed bugs. Perfect for a quick stay at the right price.

Mohegan Sun wanted $660 for a Saturday night. Comfort Inn was $80. Enough Said! Clean comfortable and about 20 minutes from casino.

My biggest concern was that we had to walk outside to get to the pool. None of the other reviews mentioned this. It would have been nice to know since we went in January. We specifically wanted a hotel with an indoor pool. But the price was right for our needs.

The room is clean and tidy.... hotel comes with Breakfast and I was suprised it has hot waffle and sausage. Worth every penny, totally!

A very good value for the money. The breakfast was also a good deal.

The hotel could use a little work. Needs painting in some rooms. Other wise ok for the price

The hotel was a standard older style 2 story motel but it was convenient to where we needed to be and at least had power! The room was standard - did like the down comforter - and the pool was warm and clean. Had decent hotel style breakfast with make your own waffles, etc. We were able to get warm, have our grandkids joins us for some fun in the pool . 99 - a restaurant was within walking distance so ate dinner there both nights. Easy access on and off 95. Front desk was very helpful and courteous.

Quick and nice

We only stayed one night on our way to new york. Staff was great. Room was decently clean, but the beds were uncomfortable. They need to get new matresses.

Rooms were of decent size, bed a little small for liking...not in the best area ...check in was slow stood at counter for almost 15 minutes. but friendly staff tried to bring light to the old omputer system used

Having just stayed at a pricey airport hotel, the Quality Inn was like going to heaven! The breakfast variety and service was superior. The hotel's quiet location and hotel's amenities made the whole experience VERY nice.

The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel was a bit run-down. Housekeeping showed up around 10:00 and I asked them to return later, but they never did. That wasn't such a big deal since we were only staying 2 nights. When I took down what looked like a fresh towel from the bathroom shelf a used bar of soap fell out of the middle of it. That was pretty gross. I suppose a previous guest had unrolled the towel, stuck the used soap in the middle of it, rerolled and replaced the towel on the shelf.

It was very good!

It was a simple room, nothing too fancy but it suited our needs. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was an aray of danishes. They also had like sausge and egg pre-made to put on an english muffin. There was also fruits and yogurt, and coffee and juice. My kids enjoyed it and it saved us from having to go spend money on breakfast.

Room was ok for one night. bed comfortable room clean but needs to be updated. Staff courteous. convenient location.

Just wanted an inexpensive room to stay overnight while we saw a concert at Foxwoods. The rate was good, the hotel needs a makeover, but it was fine. The room was clean; the furniture was just a little dusty (not old built up dust, just dust from a dirty dust rag).

nice hotel for overnight stay away from home when too far to return in one day after an all day event. would stay again, pleased with the accomedations
