Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside - אגם בואנה ויסטה

Riverside was a wonderful place to stay with easy access to the parks, many choices of food to eat, fun boat to ride on in a relaxed manner, clean rooms.

We loved our stay

We only stayed at Port Orleans Riverside for two nights but we really enjoyed our stay. We came straight from a cruise on the Disney Dream to the hotel. We had our granddaughters, ages 6&7 with us. The grounds of the resort are really beautiful. We had a courtyard view room with the princess theme. Our granddaughters were thrilled with all the decorations in the room. We all enjoyed the main pool with the water slide. There was a bus that picked us up and take us to Disney and take us back to the resort. That was really convenient. We stayed on Thursday night and Friday night, checked out on Saturday. They let us stay parked at the resort while we went to Disney World after we checked out. When we returned to the resort we were really hot and tired and were able to shower and get in the pool and relax before our drive home. This was really nice. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone going to Disney World.

Had 2 rooms, we asked to be together but we were put in two different buildings. Not happy with the way they handled it.

Our stay at the Port Orleans Riverside Disney Resort was beyond what we expected. It's such a picturesque property and the service all around was outstanding! Loved the option of the 6 pools - when the main one was busy we had a leisure pool just around the corner that wasn't busy at all - loved it! The food prices were reasonable and loved that the kids meals included fruit and veggies. The cleaning staff kept the room clean and at the press of a button on our phone they would bring us anything we needed. We so appreciated the bus service the Disney resorts offered to the parks as well as the Disney Express too and from the Airport. It was our first time taking our 2 girls, 6 and 13, and we can't wait to go again! The whole experience was definitely magical!

Pleasant Stay. The grounds of this hotel are awesome. Love the water wheel and island. Food at Boatwright's was awesome. Room was clean and big enough for all of us. We had 3 adults and 1 child and she went nuts for the pull-down kid's bed.

Wish I would have known my room was a 5 minute walk from the lobby. This resort was on approximately 20 acres if not more.

Not the Disney experience that one would expect. The smiles and friendliness is missing for the service personnel. Rooms are slightly dated and need some updating.

Had our family reunion there. Took our grandchildren to Disney for the first time. Stayed in Alligator bayou, which was recently updated. Loved what they have done. Extra pull down toddler bed was great! Pool was very close by and so was dining area. Everyone was so friendly. Will plan next family reunion same place.

Decided to book the "Royal Suite" for my daughters 6th birthday and I have not one complaint about the hotel and the service we received. The room was beautifully decorated (looks like there was a recent renovation), the service was outstanding, and our stay despite the lousy weather was nothing short of exceptional. Their food court gives you a good amount of options at your typical Disney prices but you cant beat the convenience. Will definitely be back in the future.

My family stayed at Port Orleans for our family vacation. The location is central to all Disney Parks. The staff were super friendly and the resort was super clean. Tons of activities to do to keep you busy. Would recommend to everyone!

The room was smaller than our Disney Cruise mini suite, so thank God we had booked a separate hotel for our granddaughter and her parents. Bathroom unbelievably tiny. The cleanliness and friendliness of the staff made up for the flaws of an old design.

The day we spend at the Hotel was very comfortable. The Hotel shop stores was very clean and nice. We enjoy our visit and we will return to this hotel soon!

We requested a king bed and I called several times to confirm it. However, when we arrived one was not available. Never saw the pool and recreation area because they were to far from our room.

Enjoyed stay -- transportation to parks and Downtown Disney very convenient. Loved the "quiet" pool area near Arcadian and also the laundry facilities. I was comfortable letting my 17 year old granddaughter go to the pool at night. It was a safe environment. Luggage pick up was a huge help especially when I didn't have to deal with it until my final destination.

Upon arrival I was impressed by the look of the hotel. It took awhile to get through check in. And the lady in front of me said she had been in line to check in for 20 minutes before I even arrived. Our room decor matched the theme of the hotel. I was also surprised at the cute wall bed. The room would have slept 5 comfortably. The room seemed cleaned. My only complaint is that the comforter on one of the bed had many yellow stains on the underside. Which made me wonder about the cleanliness of the beds. We spent about an hour at the main hotel pool which was cute but not as fun for my little ones as other hotels we have stayed in. This kiddie pool was only that a kiddie pool with nothing fancy. We have stayed in other Disney hotels that have slides for toddler age kids. My son was disappointed to see the big water slide in the main pool since he could not go on it since he did not have a floaty. The pool staff entertained the kids with games and dancing and everyone seemed to have a great time.

The theme was fun and the environment was relaxing. Just what the doctor ordered. Only wish they served a table service breakfast and offered spa services

Room was clean but old fashioned, plumbing very noisy.. Disney style service, kid friendly, decent activities, food awful.

Lovely hotel in a great location, makes you feel part of the magic. On arrival the staff are very helpful and do everything to make sure your stay is hassle free. Your room key can be set that it can be used to pay for everything whilst your in any Disney location, that's anything, from a drink to a meal at downtown Disney to gifts, anything. There are several pools, small ones in between the lodges and a big one with hot tub and slide near the main building. The only time we had anything to eat at port Orleans was on the morning of our departure. The restaurant is a large self service setup which was a bit of a free-for-all, I think this could be improved. Transport within Disney is very good, the buses run regularly to all destinations, and there is a boat service to downtown Disney. We stayed elsewhere in orlando for a few days before we went to Disney, I now wish we'd stayed longer at port Orleans. Also, in case your not aware, there is a bus service to and from the airport which you have to book in advance, its free. Its called the Disney magical express. You can check in for your return flight at the hotel, there'll even print your boarding passes for you.

Good location. Good environment !!!

Interior decor was ugly. Single serve coffee packs were not removed 3 days in a row. Commode in shower area was too tight.

We loved the hotel and the resort was fabulous. Its a walk between the building and the main lobby but it was a very pretty walk and only six minutes. We loved the pool. The room was pretty. It was nicer than it looked in the photos. We marked it down because of the following (1) booked a king and got two doubles (2) fridge had no ice compartment to freeze our cooler packs - of course the resort took care of that but we had to check them in and out each night/day (3) the toilet leaked (4) one sink was slow draining (5) the room stank after the plumber fixed the toilet Despite the negatives, I would go back again.

Loved this hotel for our weekend family getaway. We have annual passes to the parks and choose this resort based on reviews of others to stay for two nights. The price was very reasonable. I liked that the bus picked us up pretty much right outside our room to go to the parks (we have free parking but that is a hassle with an infant and child) Only wish there was some way of knowing when the bus was arriving before going down to the bus stop. Ate at boatwright's the first night - a little pricey for two adults and one kids meal ($73 before tip and we didn't get alcohol or dessert) but excellent service and food so worth it. Overall great experience. I have stayed at the grand Floridian, contemporary and Polynesian and this hotel was much better bang for your buck even if there isn't the convenience of the monorail.

What an amazing place. From the room to the staff it was perfect. So clean and friendly staff I am already planning my next stay.

We did a weekend trip to Disney World & decided to stay here for 2 nights. We went to Downtown Disney the first night & we were told the best way to get there was by boat. They forgot to mention how long the boat ride was (at least 20 minutes & even longer on the way back). We took the bus the next morning & that went smoothly; however, I did not realize how expansive the hotel was & I forgot to check our stop, so I ended up missing the stop closest to our room & had to get off at the lobby instead. That wasn't a big deal, but make sure you remember which stop is yours. It's hard to see in the dark when you're tired coming home from a full day at Disney! The room was comfortable & large. We had coffee the first morning, but they did not replenish it the second morning. Other than that, we had a great stay & would recommend it!

They have renovated this resort rooms since we last stayed here. The room was more spacious without the dressers. Beds were comfortable, service and cleanliness was great. I would stay here again in a minute!!! Another Disney property that was well done!

This was a great experience. It was also at reasonable cost because transportation from the airport and the shuttles to the Walt Disney World Parks are free. I would stay there again.

The resort itself was beautiful with many amenities and lush grounds. Location was perfect as it allowed for both free ferry access and free bus transit to and from all of the Disney parks. My only complaint was the size of the room. I stayed in a royal guest room with two queen beds, shared with two other adults. The quarters were very cramped - I am not a big person but even I found myself getting a bit claustrophobic in the room, barely room to navigate around the beds, and the bathroom itself is TINY, barely room for the door to even open past the toilet without hitting the tub. We didn't spend much time in the room so it wasn't a big deal, but worth mentioning.

Port Orleans, but not really an escape. Totally themed bedsheets, wall art, tv station choices, in other words no escape from Disney, if that's what you were hoping for. Stayed in the closest and newest building on the grounds, "Oak", yet you still had to cross a bridge and walk to get to the lobby. A long ways. The bus to to Magical Kingdom was 25 minutes or longer each time, though never crowded, and from the bus stop at the theme park there was another 5-7 before you were in the park. The check in time was 40 minutes. The food was pretty subpar, if you were to judge it against like food (fast food, Convenience store etc) The rooms have an unstocked mini fridge, minimum toiletries, no bottled water (the tap water smells strongly of chemicals), foam rubber pillows, and an annoying air system that can only be heat or AC and does not cycle off. This means you have a constant annoying flow of hot air or freezing air.

Excellent staff and room and restaurant was incredible!

We were extremely pleased. Our room was right by the bus stop, and the busses ran every 15 minutes directly to the different locations (no extra stops other than our resort). Room was very clean. Each block of buildings had their own pool and the walk to the main pool was less than five minutes away. Our pool was very private and quiet. The main pool had all types of games, a slide for the kids, and a bar. The food court offered a variety of food. We all ordered different things and everything was good. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!

The property was beautiful. The rooms...not so much. The room decor seemed dated/silly/gaudy, the mattresses were awful.

So many amenities on site! We selected Port-Orleans Riverside for the great reviews and all the resort had to offer for the price. The kids really enjoyed the pools, daily marshmallow roastings, kids play areas, bike rides and the list goes on. Also, we did not have to leave the resort to grab a quick bite to eat. The food court had much to offer and it was reasonably priced at that! In addition, the staff was wonderful! We will definitely be returning!

Beautiful resort!! But upon arrival, we were told our reservation was not right! And we had one more person than would fit! I ended up on the floor sleeping on an egg crate pad they brought us!! Hotels. Told me there would be a cot. They are not allowed!!!!

Long line at check in. No help to rooms which were not near the front desk. Quiet. Not near any of the theme parks - need to take bus, cab or river boat so more long lines. Lobby bar was cold but was the only place to have a drink after dusk. Food in the lobby bar was limited to a few unhealthy and bad tasting options. Restaurant was loud and uncomfortable and difficult to get reservations. Cafeteria had long lines which one has to wait in to get more than any one item. It was loud and unfriendly. The outdoor bar by the pool was nice except no food is served at the bar so you have to hike to the cafeteria to bring food back to sit outside. Rooms were quiet but no bar or snacks in the room. Basic wall-hanging hair dryer. Regular soap, shampoo and conditioner with Micky on them (nothing fancy).

Wonderful as always... - Hotels needs to update web site. The STANDARD room does not have the option of a KING bed as you may believe from the web site, that is a separate category at WDW resorts. Don't expect a king bed for a standard room. Our standard room had two queen beds. Most moderate resorts at WDW have 2 queens (except Caribbean Beach). Room was perfect, clean, location is great, pool is heated, food is good. Try the large pizza. Love the camp fire and roasting marshmallows. The outdoor movie was fun also.
