I book my room in advance and asked for a nonsmoking room, get there and all they have to offer is a smoking room! I was very upset, I had to go to Walmart and buy items for the smell. I got sick from the smell. They did move me to a non smoking room the next day but that was a horrible experience.

There was a cigarette butt stuck in the drain, the room reeked of smoke and the hotel said they could not move us to a non smoking room. They did give us a can of air freshener. The drapes would not close and it was too light in the room to sleep. A man in a hoody knocked on our door at 2:00 a.m. and stood outside for several minutes smoking a cigarette. Scary! The power went out 3 times the following morning. Not a good stay at all.

This was not the best hotel. It was spring break and was way over what should have been charged! The price almost drops by one half after spring break. Sounds like gouging to me.

The staff was all really nice. I was there for a few days and in and out of the room. The only complaint I had was dirty rooms, it was an older hotel and the room wasn't the cleanest I've stayed in. Overall it decent for the little bit of time I was in town.

This has to be the worst La Quinta I have stayed in. We stayed here because of the location as we needed to be at a meeting close by. I would have much rather driven 30 miles to my meeting than have stayed at this hotel. Worst mistake ever.

HOTEL WAS NICE AND CLEAN, BUT THE HOTEL IS VERY OLD AND HAS NOT BEEN REMODELED IN QUITE A WHILE...

Nice location and fairly clean...bathroom needed a little work.

It was a bad experience I had stayed at that place before and it wasn't that bad at my arrival I showed the lady at the front desk my print copy of my reservation and I was told that it did not meant anything to her and she needed to verify payment.

Decided to stay here because of the location was convinient. Gentleman at the reception desk was nice and explained details on how to get to the room. Elevators are not secure, anyone can use them, they do not require a key to operate. (Was a little on the defensive side every time I used it.) keep in mind this is a motel, so all the room are accessible from the outside of the hotel. If your lucky not to have rowdy neighbors your fine, but if you do, then you can hear them outside your door having fun. Since I was really only using the room as a rest stop, I loved that it was right in the expressway and there is a Denny's right next door. The rooms are fairly clean, BUT we noticed that the restroom ha not been thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping. We saw bodily hair all over the floor and in the tub. :/ yuck!!! And the shower was draining slowly. But like I mentioned, the convinient location and the fact that all other hotels were booked, was why I choose to stay here.

The hotel staff here is the friendliest I think I've ever encountered at the hotel. The room was a bit old and worn out, but comfortable. Unfortunately on our second night, there were two cars broken into, which caused a lot of police activitiy. The back parking lot is VERY dark, hence the ease of the burglaries, in my opinion. We would definitely stay there again, but we'd probably ask for a room towards the front of the hotel.

I enjoyed my stay. I appreciated having an inside room. When I said that I was alone, and requested an inside room, the registration clerk was very accommodating. Ella

The location of the hotel was good, served my purpose. The room was not cleaned, even though the cleaning lady checked off that she had. Their breakfast was very good.

We got there and immediately checked out. The pictures shown are not even of the same hotel. The hotel was dirty, lights didnt work, hole in the wall, tile was dirty in the bathroom. We left immediately and went down the street to the Hampton. I would not stay here, EVER.

The hotel room was very dirty, including the bathroom. my sister and I both supposedly got upgrades. She had a nce huge room, 3 beds and a couch. My upgrade consisted of adding a fridge. Her room was also much cleaner. I also tried to check out 1 night earlier tnan planned, and the desk clerk seemed to have a lot of difficulty understanding that. I had to repeat several times, "no, I came in on the 4th and out on the 6th". The answer was then "so you want it for 4 nights". No, just 2. The guy was very very nice, but I am really going to be interested in how many nights I end up paying for! Again, the employees were very very nice and friendly across the board.

Hotel is could have been of better quality for the price.

It is a good location in the area of san antonio and if you plan to go to san marcos or austin, it works great. Breakfast is ok, and you have a few restaurants near the hotel.

Would pick La Quinta again for my family stay.

It would have been the perfect hotel to stay at if I were looking for hookers or drugs as it appeared they were both availible upon arrival. In addition the toilet overflowed and it was a number one not a number two. One of the beds felt good the othere one had a spring that tore through the mattress so I had to flip it the coffee machine did not work and I had to exchang the remote twice at the front counter. There are more rooms than parking spaces and the pool looked disguishting.

Very comfortable, quite,cool, good safety measures. would stay there again.

This LQ hotel is the worst one we have ever stayed in!!!! It has made us think twice about staying in another one! The floor in our room was filthy. Many lights did not work around he building. Someone stole 4-5 gals of gas from my car the first night. All were reported to the front desk. We were very unhappy.

It was a very old hotel but room was fine and price was right.

We stay here when we go to San Antonio but I'm not sure we will again. We like the location and the staff is friendly and helpful. They keep the place and grounds clean as possible but they have some problems. The place is starting to show its age. Some of the posts on the walkway are starting to rot. The room had been recently painted but the ceiling of the bathroom had mildew. The bathtub was clean but the porcelain was worn out or badly stained. The lobby is clean and the breakfast is free with the room. There is a car show on Friday nights in the adjacent shopping center (south). It is loud, really loud but it stops promptly at 10pm although there will be a lot of tire squealing for the next half hour.

I usually stay at the Topperweine La Quinta because I have family in Converse & Live Oak. This is a convenient location for visiting family.

The hotel was nice for one that does not charge for pets. The breakfast was lacking and matinence did not respond to one of my calls (they did show up once my door locked shut). The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the location was central to everything you'd need. Even a Denny's within walking distance!
