Impressed with the corner room. I had a sliver view of the bay bridge, that I didn't expect to have. Staff was very friendly ( vallet, and front desk)... I rated condition of room a little lower because the bathroom door had a loud squeek when opening and closing and one of the electrical outlets didn't work. From the hotel, it's a 20 minute walk up Sansome to the Coit tower staircase. I recommend walking rather than driving because parking is very limited.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Location is perfect for a stay within the city in SF. LOTS of places within walking distance including Chinatown and the Embarcardero. BEAUTIFUL views from just about any window in the hotel. Check in was very fast & easy , even with a pretty full lobby. BERNADETTE at the check in desk was extremely helpful, courteous, professional, and beautiful-- an angel!!! Only complaint is this: Why does the hotel expect its GUESTS to pay MORE than the market rate for parking??? ($54 per night at the hotel, when some nearby lots charge $30 or less). I just don't understand this!! Charge people just using your parking the full rate.... HOTEL GUESTS should park free, or at least a greatly discounted rate. The excessive parking costs are a leading reason I rarely stay in the city, & opt to usually stay in Oakland or Palo Alto-- because I don't have to pay for parking!!!

Nothing special. Boring rooms. Decent service.

For the money, I was disappointed in the bathroom, especially the dinky tub and bad water pressure in the morning.

It was luxurious as i got upgraded to the suite.

You get for what you pay, very professional and friendly environment. I will consider it as a first option in San Francisco for my future trips.

The hotel and staff were fantastic. My room was great. What a good idea to be able to opt out of having your room cleaned each day in exchange for a $5.00 gift card to the loung/bar.

Location is good but needs work on bathroom door need more privacy

A jewel of a hotel convenienly located next to the Ferry Building and Kokkari restaurant. Very easy to walk to many places, including the Embarcadero and Union Square. I'm looking forward to my next stay.

The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location near downtown and The Embarcadero.

It was relaxing. I love how clean and comfty the bed and sheets were. The bathroom was really clean. I would definitely stay here again :).

Great view of the bay! Cool hotel decor! Great room! Great location! Good price. Okay front desk check in friendliness.

Had great view from our room on 13th floor. We could see the bridge and the bay from our window. Our king size bed was very comfortable! The service was great...they held our luggage for us before and after check in and out. Great deal, will stay again!

The Le Meredian is a beautiful hotel in the financial district. It's close to the Embarcadero and the Feery Building but a 5-6 block walk to Market Street and the Muni. The rooms and amenities are great and consistent with Starwood but the hotel lacks a culture of customer service. The front desk staff is the worst - they act like everything is a bother and they are doing you a favor. I am a frequent business traveler and I have never seen a hotel this bad. The restaurant and breakfast, however, is great as is the newly modeled bar and bar staff.

Everything was perfect about our stay. The hotel is in an excellent location as it's just down the road from Pier 1 to Pier 39 and The Wharf. So many nice restaurants, including the hotels nice dining room. This hotel will be where we stay every-time that we come to San Francisco. I can't say enough. Very close to Union Square and China Town. Thanks to the hotel staff and management for making our stay perfect. Sincerely, Tamara Cromarty

Because of our home construction, my gf and I are living with our parents, and you can imagine that can be inconvenient. I decided to get a hotel room in downtown for the weekend just so we can have some alone time, and it was such a good idea. The room was modern and chic. And we aren't sure if it's high thread count or really soft sheets, but it felt so silky sleeping in it. The bed itself was also very comfortable. People respect our privacy also. We forgot to put the "Do not disturb" card on the door knob but there was no cleaning lady knocking on our door. We didn't hear any vacuum sound along the hallway either. The view was also amazing, they put us on the 20th floor so we could see everything. It also sits in financial district. We walked over to little Italy for dinner, and my gf loved the walk cuz she got to all the little stores / bars / restaurants along the way.

I am a big fan of Starwood hotels overall. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a great view to the bay bridge. It was quiet and almost no kids. The bar downstairs was a plus. Short cab ride from most places. I will be sure to go back!

The hotel graciously allowed early check-in, which was a blessing. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the harbour. We were able to walk to many attractions. When we needed a taxi, one was hailed, and we were on our way in no time. The assistance we received at the concierge desk was very appreciated. We enjoyed breakfast at the Park Grill and were delighted at the service we received there. Overall, we would stay at Le Meridien again and tell others about our possitive experience.

Hotel location is excellent. Very close to the waterfront, ferry building and Chinatown. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Room was decent with a view of the Bay bridge. But the carpet could be cleaner. Bathroom door didn't have a lock. Valet/overnight parking was steep.
