Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh-Intl Airport - Coraopolis

This is NOT called Crowne Plaza anymore! They are now called Sheraton. So you can imagine we had trouble finding it even though the GPS took us to the right place. We checked in around 8 pm instead of the 3 pm check-in time and they told us they did not have the double room that we had booked and PAID FOR! They wanted us to stay at the Motel 6 across the street. I refused and they finally said they "found" a vacant double room. When we finally got our room key, we were pleased to find the room was very well appointed and we got a good night's rest.

I had read reviews and was well aware the hotel would not be up to par and that it is expected to complete a renovation by April. The only reason I chose to stay was because I had a free night and knew the location well. Even with my expectations low, I was still disappointed. The service and accomodations were okay for a one night stay, but the walls were paper thin and I could hear every sound of my neighbors.

it was good, my reservation was put in incorrectly. also my extended checkout was not recorded and i had to keep telling everyone. they even cut our keys off

Nice, but I expected a refrigerator and a microwave and there was none. Ice maker on the 5th floor didnt work.

Queen bed tilted with foot higher than head......worse when lying on it.

Hotel did its job. A generally comfortable place to stay in a convenient location. The GM has a note placed in the room stating that a significant renovation will begin soon. The hotel desperately needs it. It's not currently up to the Crowne Plaza standards that you normally find. It's smells and looks dated. However, I felt the room was pretty clean and the bed was comfortable.

Fixtures in shower need to be updated.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and checked me into my room quickly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel was close to the airport and offered complimentary shuttle service to the airport. The shuttle driver was very nice and drove us safely to the airport.

great service. the air condition in the room was extremely loud, but other than that it was a great stay.

I took a 2 double beds for people of 4. The beds were too small. At least they should have queen beds instead of double beds. They were charging 12.50 for the breakfast, which seems to be expensive for what they are serving. Other than that everything was good.

Staff were very nice and helpful.

I think the title says it all... Staff (other than front desk) was non-existent... Personally witnessed a 'rodent' scurrying out the front door as I was loading my car to leave - could NOT get out of there fast enough!

There was mold in the bathroom.

We stayed here after a wedding. Nice ballroom, good breakfast. Would stay again or reccomend to a friend who needs a hotel near the airport!

Hotel was very rundown. it looks like it has not been maintained in a very long time. the beds were uncomfortable the bedspreads and throw pillows were lumpy and shabby. the towel rack was totally rusty. even the towels were worn. the caulking around the tub was sloppy and grungy. furniture was scuffed and the upholstery was stained. not what you would expect.

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Excellent getting u to and frim the airport

checked in on wed 4 april 2012. the hotel did not seem to be crowded or full and i recieved a 3rd floor room facing the air conditioners on the roof.i expected more for that price.

While the staff was great an the room was clean and neat, it looked like a redone Motel 6. It wasn't as nice as we expected and for the price wasn't worth the name.

The hotel was fine; room was clean, comfortable. But it took almost 20 minutes to get to the airport from there because you have to take a very roundabout way of getting there, which was a little frustrating. They have a shuttle, but we had to return our rental car in the morning. If I am going to stay in an airport hotel, i want it to be really close. If i knew i was going to have to drive that far in the morning, I would have stayed in a hotel more convenient to downtown.

The hotel was great. I was not happy that by booking with hotels.com I did not get my Priority Points.

Upon arrival at the reservations desk, the receptionists had difficulty realizing that our reservation had been pre-paid at hotels dot com and kept asking for my credit card. After continued insistence that we had prepaid; they eventually figured it out. Outside of that; the room, the restaurant and proximity to retail and the airport was all good.

The hotel was clean. The shuttle was convenient. The only recommendation I would make is to put a vent fan in the bathroom.

Overall, I am satisfied with Crowne Plaza International Airport in Pittsburgh. The hotel is located bout 7 miles from the airport. The shuttle service was convenient, the room was clean, and hotel staff was cordial. Buffet breakfast was not very good, but was not very expensive.

What a wonderful experience our stay was at the Crown Plaza Pittsburgh! I have to admit I was a bit nervous when I read the negative reviews just before we arrived, but found when we arrived, it was nothing like that at all. Bathroom and room in general, spotless. Staff, pleasant, helpful, and went out of their way to assist. The hotel appeared to be newley renovated and was beautiful. We had stayed there 8 yrs ago and it appeared bright and new. Food in restraunt served in a timely fashion and was delicious. Room service breakfast was delivered hot and delicious. Thank you for the wonderful service!! I would definately stay there again.

If you leave at 5 AM it only takes 12 minutes to the airport by shuttle. They leave every half hour. Hotel and service were all good. I would stay there again,

I was disappointed to find despite the cost the hotel room was very unclean especially the bathroom. When I discussed this with the hotel I was told nothing could be done except a breakfast ticket. I will never stay here again.

It's in a great location - Staff very friendly - But the hotel itself is outdated - Furniture needs cleaned or re-upholstered - shower head is non adjustable in direction - the air conditioner is loud and hard to adjust. And the room service food was cold.

Went to a Pirates game and chose to stay at this hotel. Front desk person didn't know where the nearest gas stations were in route to the game and offered litle help identifying where Primati Bros. restaurants were located. This one seems like a small complaint. Almost too embarassed to mention ... but the cheap plastic toilet seat wouldn't even stay up! Pretty sure the front desk didn't do anything with that complaint. Great night in Pittsburgh even though the Pirates lost.

Simply stated, this hotel is old. Lobby is old. Restaurant is old. Bar is old. When I was there, the AC did not work in the bar, the lobby, or the restaurant. The room's furniture is old but the AC in the room did work. Come on Holiday Inn, spend some money or lose business!

Higher than average rate, no breakfast included. They DID have a airport shuttle which we used. Their rooms were like more other hotels except the wallpaper and light fixtures were a little fancier. The air conditioner unit was very noisy. Every time it started up it woke us up and the droning as it ran was like a freight train was a nuisance.
