Wonderfully comfortable bed, extremely helpful staff, close to downtown, easy access to go other places in the Portland area. Would definitely stay here again!

We were wanting to stay in downtown portland with close proximity to the waterfront, and the hotel fifty was perfect. Close proximity to pioneer square and shopping. The next day we were heading to the zoo so I took advantage of their business center to purchase and print tickets. Printer had no paper. They gave me some paper only to find that the printer would not print. I called down to ask if they could send someone. I waited 20 minutes and no one came. The lady at the front desk let me print my tickets from her computer. Very nice.

It was cleaner than another competing hotel we stayed at a few days later. And the staff gave more of an effort overall. Its is close to a lot of stuff great public transit access. My only complaint (not really hotel related) was the proximity it was to the Skidmore area (about 4 blocks away). Mon-Fri it is full of homeless people.... but on the weekends Skidmore is next to the Portland Saturday/Sunday Market which is terrific.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now and I was very happy both times. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. It is close to the waterfront and walking distance to lots of downtown stores. The public transportation is right outside the door if you don't like to walk. I would definitely stay there again.

Room was clean but somewhat on the small side considering other options in PDX, but as a place to sleep for a few hours, it was fine. Bathroom was clean and little soaps, etc, were of good quality. Convenient location for downtown access and running trail along the river across the street. Only con was that I was on the second floor facing the street. TriMet street car runs right by so those sensitive to noise may find this annoying (I didn't just something I noticed as I usually stay in another hotel that is near, but not on the TriMet line).

Easy access. Clean I stay there regularly

The property was well appointed from inside the room to the lobby. The staff was always very helpful and courteous. I would definitely stay again.

Right at the waterfront, close to wide selection of restaurants and shops. Close to major freeways and to the Washington Park with the Rose Test Garden and Japanese Garden. Only complaint we would have, and minor at that, was the layout of the room with the bathroom very close to the bed and closet.

Would stay there again.

A beautiful hotel - great location for on and off the highway. beautiful, beautiful hotel and wonderful service. Very clean - top notch bedding. Delicious breakfast

If you book online, pay for the river view room, otherwise they will stick you in a room by the elevators and you will listen to that all night. The staff seemed very nice, but not very knowledgeable about Portland or the surrounding area. The room was clean. The self parking fee listed on Hotels.com is wrong, it's actually more money so be aware. Portland is a lovely city and VERY walkable so a hotel like this one that has parking included it s good thing.

Decent hotel but a little overpriced in my opinion.

This is an awesome hotel. Don't let the simple lobby or the exterior architecture fool you. This is definetly a 4 star hotel.The location is absolutely perfect. All the max lines are either right outside the door or a block or two away. Going back for sure.

The location is excellent for business in and around the World Trade Center, just a couple blocks from the hotel. The inter-city bus line runs right by the hotel. I have stay here before. Unfortunately, on this trip I was first given a room that had someone in it, the second room had a nice view of the river, but also faced the traffic and also the bus line. Get an inside facing view if you want a good night's sleep.

Hotel was everything we needed and more until we were pulling back the covers to go to bed. As soon as I pulled back the duvet cover I saw a white "love stained" hand print, and as I pulled back the covers more I saw a larger "love stain". This was disgusting and a utter laziness on behalf of the hotel. Were they trying to be cheap by trying to flip the comforter over? I would have given this hotel 5 s on everything if this would not have occurred. If you stay at this hotel beware of its attempt to cut corners in skimping on clean the rooms after each guest stays. I will not be coming back because even after this was brought to the attention of the front desk little was done to make our stay comfortable or to better the situation. Disappointing to say the least since all other aspects of this hotel were great.

I traveled to Portland for a conference, I could not afford the conference hotel so I stayed at hotel 50. It was a clean, well managed, and friendly hotel, answering many of my questions. Location is close to public transportation and the riverfront. I would elect to stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are well appointed and it is near the train making travel easy. While desk service was excellent, service in the restaurant during the breakfast was poor - waiters were slow, non attentive and seemed to disappear for long periods two consecutive days.

Really like it and will stay again soon, my only concern was the courtyard view stated was a parking lot so I felt milead and the train rumble a bit of a distraction. All in all no problem.

We have stayed at this hotel before, but I am not sure we will do so again. We could not get the heat to work. They said they had two boilers and you had to turn the thermastat to the left to have it kick on. We have alway come to Portand in July so maybe we just never noticed it before. Also, we have never stayed in a room where there was only a hole in the floor for the shower. No enclosure, no curtain. Water everywhere. You had to mop the whole floor and toilet seat, which was two feet from the shower. Also came back at 6:30 p.m. and the room was not made up.

Front desk person was great - evrerything was better than expected and pleasantly surprised.

Excellent hotel, very nice, enjoyable experience.

Fun place with very modern upgrades. H50 was excellent! Great location

great location, friendly staff, we had no problem with the local noise.

The location and all were good. Some type of maintenance started early Saturday morning which was very bad. Other than that, all good.

For my boyfriends bday, it's now a tradition to go to Portland for the weekend. I decided to try Hotel Fifty out this time around bc hotels.com had a deal on it. I was able to check-in earlier, which was very convenient. The front desk was always helpful when I asked for something ( I felt like I always bothered them, lol). The room was very nice... comfy & BIG bed. Nice TV, cute bathroom, etc. My only "complaint" was that my view was the parking lot, but too be honest I am don't care too much. I had a good time around Portland for a Blazers vs. Clippers game, some shopping, and trying downtown restaurants. I definitely would suggest this hotel to my family & friends!

rooms are not big but effective. Staff, location, bar/food are awesome. Great Place

This is a very lovely hotel although a bit on the pricey side, especially when they charge you twice! I've stayed twice and both times I've been double charged and the manager is never around to help sort out the financial problem! It's nt worth the hassle. I won't be going back here.

Hotel was great. Location was perfect - lots of stuff witnin easy walking distance. MAX train access just around the corner. Fresh newspapers available each morning. Pretty fresh remodel of property. Good happy hour choices in the bar. Parking was expensive but there were very good alternative parking choices right across the street. I'd do it again...

This is a yearly trip with friends & we Love Hotel Fifty! AWESOME & friendly staff,good location,clean rooms. See you again next year :)

Rented a nice room for New Years Eve with a river view to watch the fire works. Spoiler alert: there are no fireworks downtown Portland for New Years. Even that didn't ruin the night. Location is great, view of the river was great, the rooms are small but very nice and staff was great too. Self parking is a bit expensive at $24 and my truck was almost too big for the lot (6' max height I think). I would go back but I probably would no get the river view. The price difference between the two is too much, the city view rooms would be a great deal.
