Chandler Inn Hotel - בוסטון

The staff was nice and helpful. The room was small but clean. The beds were confortable. The location was convenienT: walking distance to a lot of attractions. The people at the bar downstairs were noisy and we had to close our window to be able to sleep. Parking was expensive: 30$ a night.

Not fancy but a great location, clean and the front desk staff were exceptional! We would stay there again without hesitation.

This was a great place to stay for a short stay. The neighborhood was prefect and made me feel a part of the city not just a visitor. The rooms were simple and clean however the bed was a bit hard and didn't provide a sound nights sleep.

I lived in Boston for 12 years and found the location of the Chandler Inn wonderfully situated. I was close to a Bikram yoga studio, GREAT restaurants, awesome shopping and some pretty great gay haunts. I will look to stay here again on future visits.

We enjoyed our stay though would have liked to have a Tea Kettle in the Room

It was very good. The coffee machine at the lobby was fantastic!

Our stay was great. The location close to the station was perfect. The rooms are small, but nicely appointed. The biggest problem was the timing...we were there for the bombing lockdown. Still, a new experience for us from the other side of the world.Even thought the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, just a coffee machine, right next door is a great cafe, and there is a convenience store 50yds away. Only they were open during the lockdown , so we still had coffee and pastries for breakfast. we would happily stay there again.

I stayed here while running the marathon. The location was perfect! It was a few blocks from the finish and the busses on Tremont. When I came back to the hotel after finishing the marathon the front desk knew who I was and congratulated me because they were following all of the guests online. I thought that was a nice touch and really made me feel special. The price was right, the rooms were comfortable and location was perfect. I plan on staying with them again next year!

Was really impressed with the Chandler in terms of service, the room and location. While small, the room was extremely clean, modern and functional with a European charm and feel. The friendly staff was really helpful and allowed me to do a really early check-in after my red-eye flight. I'd definitely stay at the Chandler again.

Was pleasantly surprised by this no-frills but tasteful hotel. The cost is very reasonable considering the hotel's proximity to Back Bay T Station and to Boston's commercial areas. The only down side would be that one could hear conversations (or more like guests yelling at each other) next door. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends.

We were very satisfied with the stay at the Chandler Inn Hotel. The staff were nice and although the rooms were a bit small, they were very clean and beautifully maintained. The location of the hotel was a short 5-10 minute walk from the main area of Boston -- where the Freedom Trail begins -- but you're in Boston so walk around and explore! Also, the weather cooperated during our stay. There wasn't a full continental breakfast but more of just a coffee machine with free coffee. Overall, I would DEFINITELY come back here again because it offered a great value for a short getaway to a wonderful city.

I stayed at yhe Chandler Inn for an event being held at the Hynes Convention Center. It may not have been the most immediate and convenient location, but the walk was very do-able and gave me a chance to unwind in the evenings. The rooms are not especially large, but they are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The only thing I would wish for was a tad more elbow room in the bathroom, and a bathtub. The staff was very nice, and helpful in giving directions.

The Chandler Inn exceeded my expectations. I travel often and I found the rooms in this hotel to be high value for the price. My room was the perfect size -- i.e., I had just enough space. Every square inch of my room was well considered and had very nice fixtures. I was barely in my room and I didn't want to spend money on unused space. I was also delighted that this hotel provided good, free coffee! As for the neighborhood, the South End is a great neighborhood with a lot of cute cafes and shops. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you want a high quality, low cost option.

I have stayed at the Chandler before and will return again someday. I like the location as it is close the Back Bay and Copley Square. They have redecorated the rooms since I last stayed and they did a nice job. The only drawback was that the internet was not working during the first day of my stay, but they had it back up and working by the second day.

I don't spend much time in a hotel apart from sleeping and getting ready to go somewhere else, so this place was just fine. My usual concern with cheaper options in big cities is the shower, and as expected, it didn't get quite hot enough and the water pressure was low. All in all, bed was comfy and I could sleep and the staff were friendly enough.

The hotel was just fine, but we got a room on the second floor, which is directly above a bar. When we got back to our room in the evening, there was a line of people outside of the bar waiting for admission by the bouncer - suggesting it was perhaps more of a night club than simply a bar. To give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, we figured we'd see whether we could hear it in our room. We could. Not only did we hear the people, but also the thumping base from the music. I was pregnant and attending a conference, so a good night's sleep was rather important to me, but when we went downstairs to ask for a room change, the guy at the front desk said the hotel was fully booked that night -- I don't know if that was true or not. But they couldn't even offer us earplugs. It is a poorly run hotel that puts pregnant business travelers on the second floor above a bar/night club.

As a single woman traveling, I can't tell you how secure I felt there. The front desk was friendly and helpful. I would say the downfall was the hard, caved in matress and the noise level, for example doors slamming in the hallway, the roof top mechanical on the building across the way and the party goers at the bar on the first floor. Even up high, I heard everything. Just know this if you are a light sleeper. The location is fantastic with easy access to many great restaurants and the T all within 5 blocks. Perfect if you love walking around!

A comfortable hotel that is a 5 min walk away from Newbury St.

The shower was freezing!

Poor air ventilation, couldn't sleep all night, and could hear the cleaning ladies yelling all morning! Overall ok mostly because of the location and price. Wouldn't stay here again, though.

My sister and I had a lovely stay at the Chandler Inn. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

The Chandler Inn is a great hotel, from the decor, service and location. What I love the mos is the decor- it truly is a boutique hotel and the price is very reasonable. I wil definitely stay here again whenever I'm in Boston.

As others have noted, the rooms (as well as the bathrooms) are quite snug, but my husband and I stayed in a "boutique queen" for two nights, and we found it perfectly fine. The hotel is within a mile of all the big hotels and just a few blocks from Tremont, which has lots of restaurants and bars. The Berkeley Perk around the corner is a good spot to get a cup of joe in the morning.

This was my second time staying at the Chandler Inn, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience both times. The rooms are small but clean and sleek. Ideal for passengers traveling solo or double. My only issue was that the heater was a bit much, so I had to crack the window when it was single digits outside. The hotel is just a moment's walk from the Back Bay station and the Copley Square area, and for gay travelers, not only is Club Cafe between the hotel and the train station, Fritz (the gay sports bar) is actually in the hotel! This is where I'll always stay when I go to Boston.

In all my years of travel, never have I experienced a finer management team. My flight was extremely late landing in Boston, and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. I'll be forever grateful!!! The room was recently renovated, bed was comfortable and the Barth was marble and glass... And location wad perfect. Excellent experience!

traveled to boston for business, waited to find a place when i arrived near where i'd be working. has lots of character, though parking can be an issue. great price and central location

Small hotel, tiny rooms even smaller bathrooms

Boston is a lovely city and Chandler Inn, a cosy place to stay.

Very convenient location - 15 mins walk to start of Freedom Trail, 10 mins to subway stops. Good restaurants within a 5 minute walk too. Rooms small but fine - just not very much space for hanging clothes (and a very compact bathroom) but for a 5 night city break it worked well. We asked for a quiet room on a high floor and got floor 7 (there are 8 floors). We were in the middle of the line of rooms so not too near the stairwell door (which was a bit loud when it shut) - so we were happy in terms of noise - in fact we were not disturbed at all. Reception staff very helpful in terms of local restaurants, transport etc.

Too far from the financial district. but otherwise a good hotel.

Not the biggest of places and not a ton of amenities, but it's clean, the staff is overwhelmingly friendly and helpful, and it's situated in a great part of town!

Small, tight quarters. Clean. nothing special but a good budget hotel

This is a good hotel for a reasonable price. Rooms are small but practical and have been recently redecorated. Location in the BackBay is OK though you are still quite a walk from the subway and downtown area of Boylston and Copley. The walk is not bad unless you carry luggage, which was my case. Service was very good.

We only stayed one night - what a disappointment! The rooms are small - but that is to be expected with a boutique hotel. The room had all amenities needed and let's be honest - you aren't there to sit in a hotel room! Very close to all the sights in back bay and only a $10 cab ride to northend and other sights. This really was a great bang for the buck! Would stay again.

Always enjoy my stay here.
