Comfort Inn Monterey by the Sea - מונטריי

Everything was clean and tidy. The surroundings were beautiful with the pretty flowers around the hotel....it was inviting. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and have already recommended this hotel to our friends and family. Thank you for the lovely experience.

Very clean and comfy place to stay in Monterey. Staff at reception were very friendly. Only criticism was the breakfast area was a bit small for the number of people staying there. Would recommend

Clean, comfortable, affordable. Fabulous breakfast with waffles, sausage, and eggs, etc. Must drive a bit to attractions, but a great place we have been to before.

Hotel is clean and neat, felt comfortable with family, good breakfast. would stay again

This motel/hotel was clean and somewhat convenient. However, the beds were Very uncomfortable and worn. My 21 year old daughter, who is in good shape, woke up each morning with a backache. If they would replace the beds more often, it would make for a better stay.

Very nice and clean hotel. Decent hot breakfast. Close to many attractions. We would stay here again. Can't beat the price!

Rooms a little small, but clean. King room was the best ....had a shower and tub..stayed in a Queen room for 1 night and there was no bathtub, only shower. Breakfast was fabulous, great selection, love the waffles. Mall right across the street with movie theatre, Macys, Marble Slab and lots of other shops and eating places. Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery take only a few minutes to get to. Very good value for the cost if you are looking for basic accomodations.

It was very clean and well kept property, our room was a bit small but we did not spend much time there. It was close to all the areas that we wanted to visit and we plan to go back.

The room was clean, the shower had very little water pressure, which resulted in long shower times. We were woken up every hour by other guests drunk calling our room, we got very little rest. Will not return.

Nice midrange motel property. BUY your aquarium tickets at your hotel, you,all get two consecutive days entrance for one days price and avoid the ticket line.

Cute hotel. Very courteous hotel staff. Made us feel important, went above and beyond expectations. Breakfast was great; waffle maker (blueberry or regular), eggs, sausage, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee, tea, etc. Everything about the stay seemed to present them putting into mind the needs of their guests. Definitely will stay here again next time. No need to check anywhere else, we have found our Monterey stayover!

The Comfort Inn has great curb appeal. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was simple, nothing extravagant, but it met our needs just fine. The bed was firm but other than that, we have no complaints. The continental breakfast was fantastic and we took advantage of it each morning. We would stay here again on our next trip.

We love this place! Charming single-level rooms, with modern furnishings. We thought we were at a five star hotel. Location is on Munras/Cass. We enjoy going to the waterfront/wharf, and thought it might be too far. But, we decided to walk to the waterfront(about 1.5 miles). There are many shops and eateries along the downhill route(Munras>Cass> Alvarado>waterfront). Being middle-aged and with arthritis, the walk was easy...but might want to take cab back to hotel($15-20 from wharf), as it is a mild uphill walk. Loved the continental brkfast. Del Monte Shopping center across street for food, restaraunts, supplies. Will make this our first choice place to stay!

The room had an odd layout. It was fine for what we needed it for, given we spent very little time in the room, but if you are planning a trip as more of a relaxing vacation I would consider an upgrade.

over all the stay was good , the room needed some maintenance work in the restroom but it was clean and didn't smell bad, the breakfast was good their coffee is the best I've ever had

Great place and I would definitely stay there again. If you arrive early enough, you can request a room with a microwave and refrigerator, which is always nice. The service was great and the breakfast was very good and included waffles, eggs, sausage and all of the basic cold stuff (bagels, bread, fruit, yogurt, muffins, etc.). Overall, a great place!

The room was small, and no bath just shower. But it was comfortable, breakfast was good. Called front desk a couple of times, and there was no answer. We stayed two nights and we will probably stay there again.

All the amenities of an expensive hotel at motel rates.

Very well kept facility. Very good breakfast. Love the flowers and greenery surrounding the place. Good location close to shopping and no time at all to other local attractions.

Everything was clean and convenient. Coffee etc in room was fine, shower, bathroom clean and well-appointed. The only issue was breakfast - scrambled egg was spongy and way too salty and cold; breakfast burger was spongy salty and cold too. The coffee however was very good.

Room was smaller than expected. Room did not have small fridge. Limited TV channels. Descent breakfast.

Stay was pleasant for my over night.

The hotel was ideally located and our room faced down a sloping forest filled hill that was very nice looking and peaceful. Rooms were certainly large enough for the three of us and very clean as well. Bldgs were in pretty good shape (a little traction tape coming off steps but nothing major. Breakfast could have been a bit better but hey, it's free!

This hotel was perfect for what I needed - a quiet place where I could rest easily. The location was great - easy to get to major sights as well as a shopping center near by for anything else that I might need. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Great price if you are just looking for a roof over your head. Price is great, location is fine, room was clean and had free wi-fi and nice TV. The hotel is dated, however, but well appointed for a cheap room.

My family and I visit Monterey once or twice a year and we've stayed at many of the hotels on this street, Munras. This has been the BEST one yet!! We stayed 4 nights and have NO complaints or issues. Very clean and comfortable, great rate, great location. Will defenitely stay here again.

Clean room, yum breakfast, fast internet, LCD TV, we'll choose it again!

It is a good hotel when you are passing by. Clean, comfortable and with excellent staff.

Very impressed!! The rooms are very clean, staff is extremely friendly and helpful.....loooooooved the heated pool!! Breakfast was very delicious and filling (make sure to get there early in the morning)!! Beds are very comfortable, nice big flat screen T.V. with HBO, the rooms are tad bit smaller than I would of liked, but lots of storage and the bathrooms are HUGE!! Nice and quiet area......very good priced, and once again........the heated pool was a huge plus!! The gym was cool, also!! I highly recommend staying here!!

Kids and I had a great time. It is an older hotel, but redone and comfortable! Nice breakfast. Great staff.

For the price, this hotel was fine. The service clerk was very friendly, and room was very clean, though a bit small. I would say that the shower was a bit tight. The breakfast was hot, and there were sufficient choices. I would stay here again.

The room was very clean and comfy. Very close to everything you would need in the area. Most things were literally only a 5 to 10 minute drive away. The room had a descent newer flat screen and the bedside table even had usb chargers which i found very convenient for my ipad and phone. The only real complaints I have are that the toilet paper is horribly thin gas station type and the provided shampoo is barely enough for even someone with a shaved head. Also the coffee is aweful. So take your own toilet paper, shampoo and coffee and u will likely be very happy with your stay.
