The hotel has water heater problems. Water finally got warm enough to take a shower. It never got hot.

better than expected for traveling with pet

We enjoyed the stay. Bed was very comfortable & room was very clean!

Overall i had a wonderful stay. Very friendly staff and my room was great. There are not many hotels in safe areas in tyler that offer smoking rooms so that was a plus. The only disadavantage it has is breakfast. EVERYTHING available contained gluten. a nice boiled egg option or something like that wouldve been nice for people like me with gluten senesitivities. I will be using this hotel for now own when i travel to tyler.

The room was clean and serviceable. The motel is older but well maintained. We needed a short quick trip out of town and we wanted to take our two 95 lb labs with us. It worked well for us and we would stay there again.

It was OK for one night.

We are frequent La Quinta customers because of their liberal pet policy but because they are franchised its not out of the question to encounter one that is a little substandard, a little mind you, not a lot. This location could use a little freshening up. It's in a heavy commercial district with no walking-distance restaurants, so this night was a pizza delivery night. Coming from I-20 it's a little bit of a challenge to reach but a good in-town site. The night we stayed it was full of tradesmen/contractors which probably accounts for much of their business. Staff was extremely helpful when we asked for a room change because of a heavy insecticide smell in first room. A/C was not on prior to check in, a negative we're not accustomed to at La Quinta. A little attention would be good..

I asked for a smoking room and couldn't get it because of an ordanice from the city you should know this

A little disappointed in the room. It was clearly a smoking room which we did not request. The smell was horrible. When we called the front desk to see if we could change rooms we were rudely told there was nothing else available. No actions were taken to try to satisfy us.

Loved this hotel, we have stayed at two other hotels in Tyler, and this was by far the best. The bed where so comfortable! We go to Tyler about 4 times a year to see our son in collage and are always looking for a resonable rate on a room for the weekend. I will definatley stay here again.

nice quit comfortable room,personnel very friendly & helpful,great place to rest up after a long day of sight seeing & shopping,lots of nice food establishments close by.

Front Desk did not come across very nice. Answering questions, before I could get them out came across rude and unfriendly. Probably will not stay here again. The room was nice, but not completely clean. There was a pizza crust on the floor by the minifrig.

It was my teen-aged daughter and I in town for one night. The beds were really comf, my daughter loved the soft fluffy pillows, and the a/c worked excellant! I thought the rooms were going to be in an indoor corridor...and we had some trouble with lock on the door. You couldn't tell if the deadbolt was locked or not and the other latch was so hard to get undone that I smashed my thumb between the latch and the door. But overall, the hotel was fine. It was very clean and the employees were very pleasant. Yes, I would stay here again if I ever return to Tyler.

It's was great but on the site it said it had game console and they had been removed a year ago. Everything else was awesome.

Overall ok. Clean room, maid service nice, location perfect

We were very pleased with cleanliness of room, the pet fee, free wi-fi, and grounds. It was very hot outside but A/C kept room as cold as we wanted. Comfortable beds. Unexpected pleasant surprise to have microwave and frig in room. Didn't hear any neighbors even tho the hotel was sold out for the weekend; near open lot/field for walking dog. Schedule didn't allow us to take advantage of hotel amenities. Would definitely stay again.

I'm going to keep this short. The staff put us in a smoke filled room when we asked not to be - they wouldn't change us when I asked. The room was terrible and musty. I am never staying there again.

The stay was fine.

The room was very filthy! walls had coffee stains, floors n bathroom dirty not to mention mold on ceiling in bathroom. Can't imagine staying there again, and ended up in a smoking room, because I forgot to ask for a ground room, older hotel, no elevators!

We enjoyed staying the night there. The room and pool was nice and clean. The staff there are friendly and helpful. The ac in the room didnt really keep the room comfortably cool but it wasnt hot in there either. So I have no complaints really! Would stay there again!

The hotel was in a good area, close to the mall and places to eat. The room was also very comfortable. I only had two problems. One, was we ordered a room for non-smoking and we could smell the smoke as soon as we walked in the room. The second was that the front desk clerk couldn't recommend a place to eat or know the popular places, because they were not from the area. But they were very helpful with maps and their serves.

Stayed here 5 days, very comfortable, quiet, good location, very courteous staff, beds were comfortable and clean, hotel was located near several eating establishments, would stay here again

Was given wrong information regarding this hotel. Room was to my standard at all! Will NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Needs a total uplift!!!!

I stay in hotels about 10 weeks per year. Just know that for the same money you can get a hotel built after Y2K, with interior corridors, and your room doesn't have to permeate with smoke if the guest below you lights up. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was fine. Just educate yourself first.

For the price paid, it was very satisfactory.

Was disappointed. Reserved a nonsmoking king room. When we checked in they only had 3 rooms and they were smoking and double beds. Will not use again

No problems at all at this hotel, front desk was very nice and friendly, everything worked. Bed was comfortable, slept great.

My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. When we arrived the front desk clerk saw that we were 2 women traveling alone and she made certain we were not in the back but moved us towards the front of the hotel since there were many male workers staying longterm in the back. Everything was very clean in the lobby and the room. The staff very friendly. Breakfast was really good as well. The location was handy for us as we were traveling thru town but the hotel is in a more industrial part of town. The price was great and I would recommend this hotel to friends without hesitation.

I was very pleased with my accomadations at La Quinta Hotel. I look forward to being there within the next few days.

This was our second time to stay here.The first time the room was great and very clean room #160. This time we had room #170 an we where very unhappy. The carpet was dirty. The bathroom was a disaster, the floor was very dirty when I wiped it with a washcloth it was black. I had to clean the sink with a whole bottle of anti bactrial soap before we could use it. I had to clean up someone else's hair ( very gross)out of the tub before we could use it. When we took our shower,wouldn't dare sit in tub, the caulking around the tub leaked and it took most of the towels to soak up the water that leaked onto the floor. Also In the dresser draw under the bible was a can of crisco,(very very gross ) God only know's what this was used for. The only thing that was clean was the sheets and comforter. We brought our own pillows. This tells me that the maid or maids are not doing there jobs. I would have requested a room change but we are both disabled and we had to have a ground floor and they were only two rooms left. I'm not sure that we will stay there anymore. We where staying there because it is close to the Texas Joint & Back Hospital and my wife was going to have surgery and we wanted to be close for early scedule. I will pay more some where else for a better quality room.
