This hotel is very near a relative that we visit fairly often. Luckily, it is very nice and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast is also very nice.

Clean room, ok service, convenient location - walkable to the station. Some decent eats in the area.

Forgot our IPOD in the safe. Called on Sunday and was forced to leave message with the 'lost and found' answering machine. 2 days later, no call back whether they have it or not.Otherwise, very nice. Breakfast was great.

Staff was great. Only problem is no bar in the hotel, but several nice places around the corner.

Excellent staff. Location was great. Hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was wonderful and varied.

Overall positive experience. Friendly, helpful staff especially when it came to retrieving the car out of valet garage frequently. Close walk to Capitol Metro stop. Older hotel, room was large and comfortable but the bathroom was small with no venting.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for just one night, but it we loved the location, the service, and cleanliness. I would stay here again.

We have been to DC many times and decided to skip the gridlock and traffic on this particular trip. This hotel is a short walk to the US Capitol, Union Station, Smithsonian and the Library of Congress. My husband and I wanted to get away for a romantic weekend and also take in the historical venues. This hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. Not a party hotel but that's not what we were looking for. A continental breakfast is including and free wi-fi :)

The hotel was ideally situated for sight-seeing. A few blocks from the capitol and Union Station, one block from the nearest metro stop. Beautiful quiet neighborhood, Capitol Hill Historic District. Loved having the free breakfast and the wifi was good. Nice amenities in the room. The only negative was one day there was unexplainably no maid service. We called down and they delivered clean towels and coffee. They apologized profusely. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Hotel was nicely decorated, breakfast was good, service was excellent. Great location.

Hotel was pretty nice. Conte entail breakfast was one if the better ones I've had. Location is great. About one block from the Capitol and great metro access.

Hotel staff very friendly. Decor is nice, although the underlying structure of room was a bit dated (stucco walls, for example). I was attending hearing at Supreme Court so the location was perfect. The neighborhood is residential, quite, and very lovely. Breakfast was mediocre, but at least it was included. Would stay here again if wanted to be close to Capitol Hill.

The front desk people were awesome and very accomodating. The b-fast was good (certainly not cooked to order) and there was something for everyone. Great coffee!

Would not return.

The hotel has an ideal location in a lovely neighborhood. It's only a short walk to the Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the Botanic Gardens, and Eastern Market. A block from the hotel is the Capitol South Metro station. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a kitchenette and eating area. A complimentary breakfast provided a delicious start to the day. The only negative to staying in the hotel annex was a small and rather slow elevator. My overall assessment was extremely positive with no hesitation in staying again during another visit to DC.

Capitol Hill Hotel's situated in easy walking distance of major must-see DC sights--Congressional and Senate Buildings; the Library of Congress; the US Supreme Court. The Mall and monuments along the Tidal Basin are a 15 minute cab ride away. For locale, the hotel's perched in a prime spot. But the room rate I paid was really high. If you have business to conduct on the Hill, this may be the place for you. I'm not convinced that the proximity to these sites ifor a tourist is worth the steep tab (especially when there's no food service on site, other than a continental breakfast).

This is an awesome place to stay it's clean well-equipped has a great gym awesome service super close to the capital everything you need Plus great places to eat right around the corner!!

Second stay at this hotel. Clean, pleasant staff, comfortable beds. Perfectly situated, a block away from the Library of Congress , the Capitol and within walking distance from most must-see sights.

The room was big, clean and all we could have hoped for. Just a short walk to the Capitol South Metro, we had access to anything we wanted. We loved the neighborhood and the staff was so, so helpful. It was very convenient to have a well rounded breakfast waiting each morning and the kitchenette was a plus, also. We look forward to returning to the Capitol Hill Hotel next time we are in DC.

Very comfortable hotel with helpful staff, from the registration to the housekeepers. It is one option that I will keep in mind on any return trip to DC, especially if I bring my family along. Suggestion: In addition to the coffee maker, please install an electric water jug to boil water fast. The breakfast was substantial but could do with some variety from morning to morning. The business centre was equipped with excellent computers and the gym was great. When things did not work, the engineer and plumber were efficient.

The hotel and the room were really nice. My only problem was the hotel does not have a restaurant on the premisis. Had to walk a couple blocks to find somewhere to eat.

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The management informed me that the site used to be a lower end hotel before it was taken over and renovated, hence they have an incorrect star rating on hotels.com . My only complaint was that the room was small. I mentioned this to them jokingly and the manager immediately offered to provide a better room on my next visit.

The hotel is in the perfect location for using the metro and going to the Supreme Court or Capitol HIll. Rooms are comfortable and clean with kitchenettes. There are places to eat near by the metro makes getting to other sights simple and quick.

my 12 yr old nephew and I stayed at the CHH last week, it is very close to the Capitol and accessible to the Metro. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

This hotel is staffed w/professional yet very friendly people. Everyone speaks when they see you & you are greeted warmly upon entrance. There's a beautiful fireplace in the main lobby & a cozy room adjacent for chit-chatting, coffee or reading. The rooms are always clean & fully stocked. Can you tell that I like this hotel ?!?!

I was very impressed with the hotel. It was small, quaint & exactly what we were looking for.

The hotel is in an excellent location right next to the Library of Congress in Capitol Hill. It is near some bars and restauarants and close to the Metro, in case you need to go somewhere that is not within walking distance. Its a really cool boutique hotel, which looks like it recently got made over into this. It serves, what I would say is 1 notch above a continental breakfast every morning. What puts this place over the top is its location and the service. The hotel front desk manager welcomed me back every time I entered the hotel both morning and night as I was coming to and from meetings. Rooms were large and spacious, with business desk and free wi-fi to do work. The room was also very clean. Awesome experience and I would reccommend this for travelers both business and pleasure. I will stay here again when I travel to DC.

We stayed here in February for 5 nights. It was perfect. The rooms are big. The continental breakfast in the morning is large and delicious. The free wifi was very fast. It is close to a lot of things. Even though the metro is really close, we actually walked to most places. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a superior suite...room was spacious with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The bathroom even had a small but separate changing area. Fridge and small eating area was nice if you wanted to bring your breakfast back to your room to eat. Wi-Fi was free AND super fast!

Lady at check-in was very frosty and neither very welcoming nor very helpful, but the rest was fine. Nice Breakfast choice, large, clean rooms with kitchenette; close to the Capitol and the the Mall, lots of take-out food options close by.

Had a business trip during the week, the family came to spend the weekend. Great location to visit the capital, library of congress, botanic gardens, and museums. Clean and comfortable (bed was actually more comfortable than the bed at the Westin my company set me up at during the week). Breakfast was a hit for my six year old. We were able to walk to some good resturants in the evening.
