Hotel Max, a Provenance Hotel - סיאטל

Tiny room and so noisy my earplugs and night mask still made it hard to sleep. So tiny my husband and I could hardly move around. More like a ships stateroom with the sink and toilet in one small closet and the shower in another closet. Otherwise hotel lovely and staff wonderful but I would not stay there again nor recommend it.

I remember staying here about two years back and felt the hotel was in much better condition than it currently is in. Our drain wouldn't drain and there was hair left in the shower. It's cheap for the area and if you are just stopping through for a night and don't want to spend a lot I would recommend it for the the area. If you are in Seattle for a few days and want a spacious room, this is not your hotel. I will say the service people were really nice and came to help us in the middle of the night when our tv wasnt working.

Amazing hotel! After reading other reviews, I was hesitant to book this but am so glad I did. The room was perfect size as well as the bathroom, I'm not sure why everyone exaggerated about how small they thought it was. If you like

The room was a bit smaller than we expected based on the online photos and the bathroom was horribly tiny, but since we weren't planning to hang around the hotel much it suited our needs just fine. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The attached restaurant was very good! The hotel is within walking distance of just about everything. We were able to walk to the stadiums, to the Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Queen Anne Hill, Capital Hill and all around downtown.

The room was small but well appointed and very comfortable. Only downside to it was that it is on the edge of downtown so there's quite a walk to shops and restaurants, etc.

Location, location, location. We loved our stay at Hotel Max. There were three of us, so the accommodations were a little cramped in a room with two double beds. We ended up stacking our suitcases in the closer, and I had (folded) piles of clothes off to one side of the bed. There weren't any dressers with drawers, but there was a flat screen TV and a desk. We didn't spend much time in the hotel, though, because we were so close to Pike Place Market. The monorail to the Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP, et al.) is a block away. Pike Place Market is a short walk (but you might need to be in okay shape - it's uphill on the way back). We would definitely stay here again - I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. I would guess that a couple traveling together getting a room with a queen bed instead would feel less cramped.

Hotel was clean, but super small. I came from NYC and it was pretty small for being in Seattle. I grew up here so I know hotels are ample, unlike this one. Also the bed was like a taco. My husband and I ended up smashed into each other through the night because the sides of the bed went up. Location and staff were great but next time might upgrade to something I know I'll sleep well in like the westin (which is right next door).

it was OK, very small rooms incl. bathroom (it`s a secret how big people move around in those rooms) but clean good beds.......parking fee!!!!! for 18 hr 40.30$ for hotel guests is ridiculous !!!

Was pleasantly surprised with this boutique hotel. Rooms were small but were comfortable. Close to Westlake Center. Staff were great.

Besides the fact that hotel is a bit ancient feeling, they charge for wifi and the elevators are creepy, the hotel rooms are very nice and clean, the staff has very good service.

bring your earplugs, the walls are very thin. the front desk staff are not friendly. the location is great.

The staff was polite and helpful. I liked the decor, very unique. My only complaints are: the king bed was uncomfortable and our bathroom was so small that my boyfriend's knees touched the opposite wall when he used the toilet (note: he is 6'5"). There was a restaurant attached to the hotel that we didn't end up checking out before having to leave, but it looked cool - Japanese fusion? They did have Happy Hour from 10pm-12am that would have been nice to do after a long day of exploring. the main entrance is on Stewart but the vallet parking is on 7th (you can park in open lot across from main entrance for $30-ish, but for only a few bucks more you can get the vallet parking in garage with in/out privelages). Personally, I won't be staying there again because the rooms are just too small for comfort - but if you're a small person, you'd probably really enjoy your stay at Hotel Max...

The hotel is very nice, but the rooms are small. They are not conducive to a desk for laptop work and there is not enough storage space. We felt like we were walking on top of the suitcases to get in and out of the bed.

We were happy with this stylish hotel and very friendly/attentive staff. Turned the challenge of the small bathroom into entertainment value.

I love the sushi bar in the lobby! The down side to the place is that they charged $33 for overnight parking when many places around the area were charging way less for overnight or a garage would just charge you hourly.

Loved the staff all so friendly and make you feel very safe! complimentary wifi was given to me on arrival when you usually have to buy yourself! great hotel and very good price!

This hotel has wonderful service, and the rooms are really cool, however; they are beyond small. The bathroom is so small you have to sit sideways on the toilet and the shower is smaller than a gym stall shower, but the bed is crazy comfortable and the service impeccable so its a tradeoff and the price is fantastic.

Stayed for 3 days on a recent business trip. Perfect for one person, the rooms are quite small for 2 people. Funky decor, fabulous service. Nice little gym, free wifi. Much more personal than a big chain. I loved it and will stay there again.

I am not exagerating when I say that the bathroom is the exact same size as the coat closet. The shower is so small that I could not even put up my arms to wash my hair without hitting my elbows. It's a good thing I'm not claustrophobic! The room itself was also tiny. There was literally a small catwalk around the bed and that's it! The price was right and the location of the hotel is great, but I would not stay here again. Also, the valet parking is one of the most expensive in Seattle at $33 a night. I've stayed at many Seattle hotels and usually pay around $25, even for the hotels closer to downtown.

Parking overnight was over $40. Don't valet, use public parking. The room was small but that was fine. The bathroom was tiny and that wasn't fine. Very hard to even move around in shower without bumping into something.

Excellent experience and everything was top shelf.

I really like Hotel Max but had a frustrating time with the parking. When we got there I asked about parking and was told the pre-tax rate for one night which was soooo high. I asked about the parking lot across the street and the man working at the front desk claimed he knew nothing about it or how to park there. When we got the bill for parking it turned out to be MUCH more per night than we were quoted. It turns out that the parking lot across the street is MUCH cheaper per night. I would definintely park there instead!! I didn't like that they were not up front with us about these charges.

My wife and I stayed at hotel max prior to driving to Vancouver. It was perfect. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the hotel was located in a great part of Seattle. The hotel has a cool, chic, funky, artistic look to it which really makes it different then your typical city hotel chain. T

Great bed, classy room -- very small, but commodious nevertheless.

Hotel Max was wonderful. Hotel staff very friendly and accomodating and we loved the modern decor. The location was in walking distance of Pikes Place, shopping, the art museum and the Space Needle. Also loved the sushi restaurant and bar.....excellent appetizers and drinks. Can't wait to come back again.

Convenient location, clean/crisp room and hotel overall. Friendly staff. Small-ish rooms and bathrooms.

I loved everything about Hotel Max. The decor is modern/art deco and incorporates amazing photography and art as decor in creative ways. The room was super clean, they offer neat 'extras' like a pillow menu or ability to rent an MP3 player for your room, bed was super comfy. My room had a standing shower that basically was in a closet which was interesting, but not a problem and the toilet and sink were in another small 'closet' like room- sink a little small for a face splasher like me. Loved the toiletries, took everything I could home with me. Space in the room overall was a bit limited, perfect for just me- imagine 2 people in the room each with a suitcase would be tight. Regardless I love Hotel Max and intend on staying there again if I find myself in Seattle. Location is also great- comfortable walking distance to Pike Place Market/downtown and be sure to walk up to Biscuit B*tch on 1st for breakfast.

The image of the place is very nice, unfortunately the people of the counter are not so kind.

I enjoyed the stay in Seattle!! I love Seattle! But my hotel room was to small for the money! I booked a king but I couldn't tell if it was a king size or not. The shower clogged making me having to stay in a tub full of water, that was super annoying. Over all it was just okay for me. The art was really cool!!
