Howard Johnson Missoula Mt - מיסולה

I stayed at this Howard Johnson for 7 nights this past week. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. They have done a great job of remodeling the rooms..and I know they are still working on it! I would stay there again. Thanks!

This is one of the least expensive hotels in the city, by almost 10 percent. For that price you have a hotel located within 5 minutes of the primary shopping district that has a pretty good bed, a shower, and a continental breakfast. The employees were friendly and helpful, and I honestly don't know what more the other reviewers were expecting. It's the best deal in town for a place to sleep.

I have low standards for hotels, and this was terrible. I've stayed at HoJo's before and this is a flea-bag with a Howard Johnson sign taped over whatever it used to be called.

When we checked in the owner Mr. Patel was busy on a phone to busy to great us. We were informred ourr rooms would be connected they . I would never reccomend....

Room was clean, and probably 'nice' about 10 years ago. Neighborhood seemed a little shady. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Decent place to stay for a night if you don't want to spend very much.

Poor condition of room. Still smelled like smoke even though it is "non-smoking". I would not suggest this place to anybody.

The staff was very nice. The room smelled so bad from the deordorizer spray we had to keep open our door for an hour to air it out. I did not feel like I could relax in my bed because the deodorizer spray smell was in the bed too. We arrived late so did not have the energy to ask for a different rm. I figured they all prob had the same smell. I could hear the neighbors toilet flush during the night and could hear when people came home from the bars at 2:30 am. Close to many shopping places. Good location for shopping. I would not stay here again.

This is your basic "room for a night". Very popular with locals ( I am one). NOT fancy.

the lock on our door didn't even work! the manager is creepy and has no tact. and our bathroom had water covering the floor. not to mention the pool was "out of order" and disgusting!

The rooms weren't totally clean, but the beds and pillows were comfortable. The motel itself is average but the price was cheaper than other hotels. It has a good complimentary breakfast.

The room had something on the wall, looked like coffee. The floor was very nasty, in need of deep clean or replaced. The tv remote wouldn't work so the clerk moved us to the to another room. The next room was about the same.We thought Howard Johnson was supposed to be higher in standereds.We wouldn't go back or suggest to anyone else.

The facility was very clean but dated and worn. It was comfortable but had nothing other than basic comforts

Our experience was much better than the reviews, Room was clean, beds were good (liked the extra pillows). Be advised that the in room coffee makers don't use a pot, your suppose to use the cups.

The attention to making the breakfast positive for the guests was evident by the effort of the morning desk clerk.

The service at at the front counter was not very friendly from the woman working there however the gentleman working the day we checked out and having breakfast was very helpful and friendly. Our bed frame was broken and so was one of the backs on a chair. I have stayed at better for less.

The hotel has a lease from HoJo. It is being renovated but it is still a 1 star. Reserved a king got a queen with no hair drier. If you are on a tight budget and don't care where you lay your hard your fine. No HoJo on premises just a free breakfast buffet.

The hotel was fine, however the reservation with hotels.com was flawed. I was booked for a single queen room when I specifically asked for a room with 2 beds. Not sure what party was at fault.

This was an old dump that Howard Johnson must have just bought diffently not a Howard Johnson.

The room was definitely a smoking room at some point but they sold it as a non-smoking room to us. The room was not very clean and they did not clean the room, make the beds, exchange towels the second day even though we stopped in the office and requested it to be done. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was not marked Howard Johnson...perhaps it is one they are purchasing but certainly doesn't meet the standards of other Howard Johnson motels we have stayed.

Other reviews show this hotel was converted to HJ chain almost a year ago. That's more than enough time to transition to a decent establishment. The pool was down about 2 ft, green with algae and filthy. It was closed. There were no chairs in the room, only the bed to sit on. The bed was king size but the box springs were broken! The floor was dirty. The hair dryer looked like it had been pulled out of the wall and stashed on top of the clothes rack. The sink was dirty and there was a used hairy wash cloth on shower rod.

Short stay, used micro and fridge and free Internet. Good

It's a nice little inexpensive hotel. It'll be nice when everything is remodeled. We happened to be in an unremodeled room so eventually the maintenance and cleanliness will be much improved. I was not happy with the clerk cussing and telling me his problems in regards to the person he had been talking to on the phone. He was upset about having to repeat himself so many times when in fact the problem lay mostly in his speech stemmed from his heavy accent. I can't really fault the caller; I had trouble understanding him at times and I was right there picking up visual cues and gestures.

The motel was in the process of converting to a Howard Johnson, but I didn't know that when I was booking a room. The site said there was a pool and there was, but it was empty and under construction. The room didn't have any decorations or art on the walls, the back of the front door had paint from the walls sprayed on it, the lights were the obnoxious blue halogen bright lights, but only 2 worked, the third didn't have an outlet near it to be plugged in, the shower head shot needles of painful water and WORST of all, the window had no lock and could be opened from outside. This definitely was not up to the Howard Johnson standard, which isn't saying much. I do not recommend staying here until the complete renovation is done.

This hotel was in the sketchiest part of town. The pool was out of commission, filled with nasty green water and was partially covered with a tarp. Debris, old bed frames, junk strewn everywhere! I have never written a review, I just had to this time. There was a bunch of black mold in two rooms and the third one they gave us smelled horrific. The front desk gal said 6 ppl left right after check-in. We would have but had no idea where to stay, and it was quite late. Parties going on all night inside and outside the hotel. I like a good party, and have a ton of tolerance, but this was the most vile hotel I have ever stayed in! Please warn people. Our waitress at a downtown restaurant told us it is a seriously bad part of town, and she never goes to that area. Save yourself the frustration and fear of this place. DON'T give it a try!

-No coffee in the room -2 light bulbs missing in bathroom -only two lamps in the room -no TV channel list -the breakfast was good with scrambled egg patties and cream cheese -room was minimally furnished -there were two bathroom sinks but only one had a mirror -the phone had no dial tone but the message light was flashing -the room appeared to have been recently painted but paint was sprayed on some fixtures

Pillow case had hair and was dirty from las person who stayed in room. Water in shower never got even to lukewarm. cold shower. room smelled bad.

Needs alot of maintenance-- even security lock was broken. We won't stay there again

The room needed some updating and some major cleaning. The chair next to our bed was badly stained, carpet was dirty, window had no screen, no shampoo or soap in the room, no clock...

no towels, no ice bucket, dirty chairs, I would not sit on them. It looks like a work in progress. Which is good. Staff is kinda friendly, but not realy. I would not stay there again. Camping on the side of the road would be better unless you needed a shower The showers were very nice. I won't beback 3+

I feel badly for the owners/manager of the motel but it apppears as though they are just trying to hang on. Rate was reasonable, beds were comfortable, cleanliness was lacking.

First i got there my room was not ready they told me to be back in an hour i left returned in 1 hour the room was still not ready so they put me in another room there was nothing but cable tv in there no cups anything the shower was dirty it even had a used have broken piece of soap laying on the shower pan which showed it was not cleaned since the last person then i went for a towel someone was in there cleaning cause they left their dirty cleaning rag on top of the pile of towels well i went to bed got up early there was a bunch of noise outside i am not a light sleeper but i was awoken 3 times from the noise outside then i got up early for my marathon the next morning (reason for my trip to missoula) when i was done running i was ready for a shower glad i asked for a late check out just so i could get a shower after the runreturned to the hotel BEFORE i should have checked out normally without late check out and my room door was wide open and bed was completely stripped i shut the door got shower left i never write reviews but this place sucked never go back there never will recomend anyone use it the was it is going it should be outta buissness soon thank god p.s. missoula was a great town

Because I live on Social Security and a small pension, I must find lodging that is inexpensive without being cheap. The Southgate Inn met al of my expectations.
