One Washington Circle Hotel - וושינגטון

Recommend staying here, great staff and excellent location. Jogging distance to White House, GW Monument, etc.

This hotel is a block from the Foggy Bottom Metro station and a block from a Whole Foods store. Because it has a full kitchen (micro, refrigerator, sink, stove, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, etc.) we were able to have breakfast and another meal in the room and be able to afford a really nice restaurant for a meal each day. Foggy Bottom is a great neighborhood and within walking distance of the mall and all the delights of DC.

Nice hotel, conventiently located. They may have been short staffed on the weekend. Maid did not clean room, remove breakfast dishes or bring fresh towels on first day of 3 day stay. After that it was fine. Very friendly, helpful staff. I would stay there again.

Stayed for one evening on business. Very convenient to everything, nice large room with a kitchen. Would be nice for a family stay in D.C.A little bit loud due to street traffic. Fantastic mattress.

Very, very good

This hotel is in a very convenient location with lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Metro stop is about a 2 block walk and the White House is about a mile away--also a nice walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was old but the furnishings were updated and clean. The room includes a full kitchen with stove, full sized refrigerator, and microwave. Appliances were aging but functional. On the down side is the hotels proximity to GW Hospital. On Saturday night the ambulance sirens were pretty frequent and woke me several times, but the other nights were not so bad.

The location is great, we could easily walk to Georgetown and the White House. Just two blocks walk to the subway station and on the route of the Circulator Bus. Also close to the GW university hospital which unfortunately brings ambulance siren noise at random times. There are a few good restaurant options around this area, including the bistro at the hotel. The Whole Foods market, two blocks away, was a favourite for breakfast. The suite was spacious with a complete kitchen, and a good plan layout. This spaciousness is a true find at this central location, and makes it a very good place to relax. We had a problem with the heating the first evening and were upgraded immediately to a larger suite with a full bathroom and a powder room. The front desk staff are responsive and courteous, the concierges always eager to help, and the cleaning team is excellent, our room was thoroughly cleaned every day. The building is older and would benefit from new carpets and replacement of tired doors, paint, etc. The internet service is not good, intermittent and slow. Heating equipment is a bit noisy. Be prepared to pay $25 per day if you require adding a roll-away bed, this fee seemed excessive. Overall it was a great place to stay, we would stay there again and recommend this hotel to others.

We were looking for a nice, central hotel for our first trip to DC and we consider ourselves lucky we found this one. Its location is perfect for walking to Georgetown and to the National Mall, or for taking the Metro farther afield. The room service cheeseburgers were so good we had them twice, but we also used the room's kitchen and fridge during our stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly the doormen. The free fruit at the entrance was a very nice touch. The room was spacious with a big flat screen TV for resting after a long day of tourism. The only quibble my wife could even think of after a week-long stay was that she didn't like the showerhead in the bathtub (it seemed fine to me). We would stay here again without hesitation.

We have stayed at this hotel at least twice in the past. The staff is always polite and helpful. We enjoy being close to the Metro because we never try driving around the city after we arrive. We also like having a full Kitchen so that we can save a little by eating some of our meals in and relax.

Good Hotel. Small lobby, but decent sized room. For Location, it's a great deal. A little lacking in the fine details, but the staff was very helpful, and I enjoyed staying there for the night.

This hotel has a full kitchen, it is more like a small apartment. My room had a nice balcony. So it was really comfortable, far larger than I needed but when I go to DC with the family I will be staying there. It was reasonably priced and was easily reached from the airport (6 stops on the blue line). It was not an ultra-modern place, you are not taking a romantic getaway there, but it is good for a week stay in DC for business or a family with kids.

Stayed in a 1 bedroom suite w/a kitchen. Room had been updated but carpet was dirty. Also, room was on the first floor and was quite loud. Window in the bedroom had a blackout shade, but it was placed so far away from the window tons of light still entered the room. Being on the first floor, this was annoying. Pillows were uncomfortable and they only offered a small selection - two on the entire bed. The ones in the closet were the same weird square shape and extra firm.

We enjoyed our stay. The place has been redone since the time I used to visit for meetings 15 years ago. Good in-hotel restaurant and bar. The Metro is just across Washington Circle from the hotel. We walked to Dupont Circle and visited the Phillips Museum. Georgetown is also withing walking distance.

Hotel check in was welcoming and room service was prompt and professional. Glad I decided to select this hotel, made a good choice.

The staff were fantastic! The location is great and close to the metro with markets, restaurants and the like easy walking distance. Large rooms with a fully equipped kitchen and free wifi. A definite return trip to stay there for me!

Nice hotel, very friendly staff. Many rooms are mini-suites with seating area and kitchen. Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and it has the air of luxury, but rooms show some age with somewhat worn carpet and furniture. Convenient, two blocks from Foggy Bottom Metro stop, 10-15 minute walk to Georgetown. Biggest downside: close to GW Hospital, so ambulances w/ sirens pass on a regular basis, 1-3 times per hour, day and night.

My friends and I attended the 2013 inauguration and we decided to stay at the One Washington Hotel after reading previous reviews. Our first stay and it was wonderful. Close to so many restaurants, sites, and the metro. I would definitely stay here again. It was a hidden jewel. The staff was terrific and the rooms were very nice. LOVED IT!

Loved our stay. Will stay there again for our next visit. Staff is very attentive to guest and every detail. Restaurants and stores nearby. Wish we had spent for time in D.C. next time.

This was a great place to stay and very reasonably priced. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff made you feel at home. Very friendly, courteous and helpful in every way.

Our stay was great. We came to Washington for the president's inauguration. The location was ideal. The hotel was one block from the Metro station which made it easy to get to the national mall. Everything that we needed from restaurants to shops were within a short walk from the hotel. The hotel was much nicer than the photos on the website.The staff was most accomodating and the hospitality was exceptional. I would recommend the hotel as an excellent down town location.

The staff was polite, the rooms were big, and the location was perfect. I really enjoyed my stay. I would stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Two thumbs up!

I found the hotel to be pleasant and conveniently located to DuPont Circle, The White House and The Mall - whether by walking or taking the metro. The hotel staff were very accommodating. My one 'complaint' is that the room I had reserved (two beds) wasn't available at check in. They 'upgraded' my room to a suite with one bed and one pull out which wasn't as satisfactory. The hotel also gave us complementary tickets for breakfast due to the room switch. The eggs benedict had egg shells in it and the French toast was very greasy.

Easy access to all parts of DC. Very friendly staff. Large comfortable room. They encourage you to be environmentally friendly and re-use your towels, but there is no place to hang your wet towel. Install some hooks or a towel rail please.

The hotel was okay, but it was pretty noisy, as the hotel is located next to the G. Washington hospital.

The room was very nice and clean... Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was pricy and not much of a selection.
