Holiday Inn Express Spokane Downtown - ספוקיין

This was a business trip. The front desk was very polite and wonderful hot/cold breakfast. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you

The hotel is currently under construction, so the parking lot is full to the very last space, there were construction workers in our hallway at 9:30AM pulling off wall paper and re-papering, the breakfast is located in three hotel rooms that they have tried to convert... For all of the construction that was happening, they did their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. However, I wish we would have had a heads up about the construction prior to booking.

Comfortable stay, nice beds, friendly staff went above and beyond, great breakfast (though temporarily served in small quarters because of building addition going on).

The hotel is in the middle of a re-model so parking was very crowded. Actually the breakfast area was scrunchy also. 3 small rooms and a hallway. Too many people too close. Food was good for a continental breakfast.The room was comfortable and clean not really what I expected for the money though.

The hotel lobby is under construction, they began construction work at 5:45am and could be heard through out the hotel. The breakfast area is non-existent! :(

Stay was good. I would definitely stay there again. This is not a luxery hotel, but everything was fine, the people working there were wonderful, rooms were clean and modern and the price for a downtown hotel was good. It snowed a bit the night I was there and in the morning, all the cars had the snow scraped of their windows - who can't be impressed with that!! It is basically across the street from Gonzaga - useful for us parents of students. They are still remodeling - the existing breakfast area is somewhat small and modest, but the person working it amazing and works hard to keep everything stocked and make sure everyone is happy. It is really a full breakfast - mini-omelets, pancakes, bacon, etc. Omelet was a bit dry (perhaps expected when sitting in a warming bin), but on the whole, everything was good.

I travel frequently to Spokane and have enjoyed a number of the hotels in this beautiful city. For years I've been curious about the hotel that sits atop a large rock face just north of downtown. A major convention made it impossible for me to stay at my old standbys, so I gave the Holiday Inn Express a shot. There is a lot of construction happening so finding the lobby was the first challenge. It's not well signed and there was very little parking near the entrance at 2:45 in the afternoon. The hotel staff were brusque and not at all friendly. My room was awful. It smelled like a locker room full of hot mayonnaise. I opened the window and turned on the heater (it's in the 30s today) and the heater stank like it hadn't been used for months. The shower, which was modified to be handicap assessable, didn't maintain the temperature and the wand-style shower head wouldn't stay mounted on the wall. I'm not in need of such accommodations, but it broke my heart to think of someone's grandmother being stuck in that shower with alternating boiling and freezing water coming from a shower head that won't stay still. I try to keep my reviews objective and moderate, but this hotel really is superlatively horrible. Perhaps things will get better after their remodel/addition.

price was great - accomodations great -- food was really good. Parking was our only issue -- understandably with construction going on -- but we wonder where you will add additional parking once the addition is complete.

They even had a room with Xmas wrap to use and I got to help decorate their tree in the lobby, had a great time

This hotel has paper thin walls. I was booked in a nonsmoking room but I might as well have been IN the room with my neighboring smoker. I could hear every car leave the hotel parking lot. Went to the lobby for reception and listened to the girl yell at some guys from out of the countryng to check in. Last two trips I have had bad experiences with Holiday Inn. Do Not stay here!

The room was comfortable and I slept remarkably well. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

When looking for a place to stay, I would not even consider a Holiday Inn! This place has changed my mind. The staff was super friendly and helpful! They served a full breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, rolls, sweet rolls, fresh juice. The person taking care of it was super friendly, and treated you like an invited guest. We were there on Tuesday and Wednesday, during which they had food and beer and wine at 5pm. Then there was fresh baked cookies at night. The bed was very comfortable, the room spotless. They even had pillows with one "soft" and one "medium" labeled on the pillow case. Next time I have to book a room, I certainly will not skip over choosing Holiday Inn, that may be my destination of choice!

We enjoyed our stay and will stay at the Holiday Inn Express again while in Spokane. Friendly staff, ample parking and close to downtown.

Perfectly decent hotel within walking distance of downtown. The breakfast is slightly under par. Staff kindly brought out more milk and cookies when we arrived back about quarter to nine in the evening. Note that paying for a view room doesn't mean much if they give you a ground-floor room; still, the sliding doors to a strip of lawn is nice, if noisy.

The hotel itself was easy and convenient to get to. However when we arrived the individual that was supposed to be check us in was sitting at a computer in the lobby and acted irrated that we had inconvenienced him. I provided him with our priority club number, but am not sure if we received credit for the stay as he did not acknowledge the information and was in a hurry to return to the computer in the lobby. Most Holiday Inn's provide exceptional customer service to their priority club members and I was surprised that this individual was not friendly and was eager to have us leave.

The hotel was wonderful. The view was beautiful. We walked downtown and the river walk was really pretty. We were just passing through, but would love to spend more time here. The breakfast was very good. They had freshly baked cookies in the evening. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, well kept grounds! Fabulous breakfast, good value for money spent. Nice location, lovely view. Would stay here again.

The bed broke when I sat on it. It was VERY noisy in our room. Not only the loud traffic noise on the end near the street but noise between the rooms, Will probably not stay in this hotel again.

My coworker and I chose this hotel based on its convenient location to where we were working, and we didn't have any regrets. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was very good with plenty of options. They also randomly select a "Guest of the Day," and this person receives a free room upgrade. I got to spend my travel time in the Gonzaga Suite, which definitely made it worth it!

clean comfortable room

Staff were exceptionally helpful in trying to sort out why I had two reservations through Hotel.com. They gave me phone numbers, when I contacted customer service in Hotel.com the hotel reservation staff were hepful to them. All sorted out including double charges by hotels.com customer service the following day. So thanx to Holiday Inn staff and to Customer Service Dept at Hotels.com!

For a dog-friendly hotel, this hotel was very nice. It was the "dog-friendly" status that brought us to this hotel and we were not disappointed. The dog loved it too. It was 35 degrees outside so the fluffy dog lay in front of the air conditioner. The staff were friendly and the hotel even had a dog living behind the front-counter.

Great place to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and the close proximity to Gonzaga University!

The hotel was comfortable and has a good location, but is competing with some of the upper class hotels in Spokane price-wise. No pool or spa would have made up for this.

The housekeepers and breakfast personnel need special recognition-they made our stay wonderful. Very polite, friendly and caring people. Great location and easy, beautiful walk to downtown.

This hotel is walking distance to Spokane Arena and hotel sit on top of a big rock.Customer service is awesome and polite and hot breakfast is great each morning.

EVERYONE THAT WORKED THERE WAS SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFULL. THE VAN DRIVER { JEFF} WAS SO NICE AND CHEERFULL, HE WORKED LATE SO WE COULD GO TO THE THINGS THAT LASTED LATER THE HE WORKED. YOU CAN'T ASK FOR ANY MORE THAT THAT. WANTED TO BRING HIM TO GEORGIA WITH US.

This motel was across the street from the river walk. But not far to walk. The high point for me was the room was clean. I actually also walked to the downstown, Spokane is not very big city. The AM breakfast was crowed with people enjoying breakfast. I would stay here again.
