First room had water on the floor in bathroom when we arrived. They were going to get someone to come and fix it but we requested a new room and got a real nice one on an upper floor, mcuh better then the first floor. Front desk was very busy but helpful. Place could use a new paint job and more lights in hallways.

EXCELLENT ALWAYS CLEAN AND FRIENDLY STAFF!

Staff was great. Everything else needs major renovation.

OK not bad nor worst.

I did not find it convenient because I chose the wrong location which since I dont drive was too far for me to get around. i will be more specific next time, because another Days Inn was across the street fro mwhere I needed. Otherwise the hotel rocks.

At this price point, hotel was just perfect ... except for breakfast and bath tub caulking. Caulking securing panels above tub was not clean. Everything else in room and hotel was clean. Breakfast plates were poor quality. Two child cereal selections. Cereal bowl cracked a bit as a I picked up full bowl with one hand. One of the two juice selections was inoperable/broken. Hot coffee was dispensed from two urns ... both were empty and it took seven minutes before attendent filled one. No eggs. Very good value for $56 (total costs).

An entirely comfortable stay at a bit-worn hotel. The price was unbeatable and thus helped my non-profit budget. It could use new beds and a more robust breakfast, but it was quiet, very close to my appointments, with a friendly staff.

The staff was very friendly and efficiant.

The hotel was clean even though they are doing renovations. The staff was very helpful.

The price was right and the hotel was decent

It was ok....the staff was great....the room was clean....but the room/hotel is run-down and in need of maintenance! I left with a sore back/neck from the mattress. The Daylight breakfast is served until 9....but wasnt worth getting up for. No tea/decaf coffee....there was 2 types of cereal and 2 danishes when we arrived at 745....and bread. :( It is centrally located....however....I think for the money there are better options available. We come to the area a lot... our less expensive hotel of choice was booked....but is a much better value for the money.

The staff were very friendly and professional. Apparently the hotel is going through some construction and this was evident by the noise. I heard hammering around 4am. Upgrades are good but working throughout the night with guests in the hotel is not a good idea. The room was clean and comfortable but could use a serious facelift.

I have stayed here multiple times, each time my stay was good, front desk clerks are always polite and friendly. On my last stay I reserved and paid online, once I arrived the clerk wanted to verify my credit card and I.D. so I gave it to her, against my knowledge I was charged again. I called and spoke with the manger "Shirley" and she was exceptionally nice and refunded my money, about 4 days later my money was back on my card....thanx Shirley and staff.....I will stay again.

For the money, its Okay. Had I paid much more, I would have been disappointed. Very tired hotel, breakfast was a "C+." Staff was very pleasant. Convenient for a quick trip to CNU. Got in late, left early. That's about it. I'd probably stay there again, (but not with my wife - she has higher standards.)

With the extremely low Hotels.com price, I wasn't expecting too much from this Days Inn - but was pleasantly surprised. Because my stay was for over a week, the staff bent over backwards to accommodate. Kudo's to front desk manager Shirley. Housekeeping for my room was just excellent. Bathroom was spotless, shower nice and strong, furniture well dusted and carpet well vacuumed. First floor, where I was located, was wonderfully quiet the entire week. Snack breakfast was just that, nothing more -- but just what this harried traveler needed. The rooms and furnishings are starting to show some age, but I'm told that renovation begins mid-December 2012, with every room getting modernized, in a blocked phased effort. Located in an office park and not far from all the restaurants at Oyster Point/Patrick Henry area, the location worked very well for me. I would come back!

Disappointed with the condition of the hotel. Hotel staff were very friendly.

When checking in to my room there was old foodin my fridge and my microwave was dirty. I told the staff. The apologized but did nothing. Had a pleasant first night otherwise. Left in the morning for business and returned atfer working a 14 hr day, heated dinner in my dirty microwave and satdown to eat it when I was greeted by a HUGE roach crawing up the curtains! I freaked. I told a woman at the desk and she came in, scooped up the bug and left with it. Her attitute was clear that she was used to doing so. The woman offered me a different room but I had ALOT of gear and needed to be up in 6 hours for another long day so I declined. I slept very poorly worrying about the bugs. In the morning I found a squished one by the backside of the heater. I left and worked my saturday and when I came home that night at about 10pm and went to use the bathroom only to discover that the room above me had flooded thier bathrrom and mine was now covered in funy brown water. I ouldnt even shower! I again told the staff. Thier answer for me was that they no longer had a room to switch me too but they could arrange for me to shower in another room in the morning if I wanted. When I said they needed to make this right for me they said they couldnt do anything for me because I booked with this hotel service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Clean room, quite....for the money a good deal.

Good location for what I needed. It was clean and the price could not be beat. Front desk staff was very friendly. No-frills, solid hotel, great bargain

I was very pleased with the room and service. It's a great stay and inexpensive.

The pictures they show on the website don't line up to how the place actually looks. Disappointed in appearance of the hotel.. Def won't stay there again.

This hotel is a good value for your money. Stayed for Parents weekend at CNU. Very close to all the activities. Not the newest, old tv and decorations. Like I said good for the money.

The hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Our room, however, was not in good condition when we arrived. There had been work going on with the wall where plaster had been fixed and that was still wet and there was dust everywhere! We asked to have the room dusted and that is exactly what they did. I should have requested another room because the whole time I was in there I was worrying about the dust everywhere (sheets, pillows, furniture. The bed was not of the best quality. But, for the price paid for the room, I didn't feel like it was that bad of a room. Overall, the rest of the room was clean and for one night it was fine for us.

I ENJOYED MY STAY. NICE AND QUIET LOCATION. THE STAFF I ENCOUNTERED WAS GREAT AND HELPFUL IN ASSISTING ME IN FINDING MY WAY AROUND.

Hotel in major disrepair. Learned upon arrival that the first floor flooded and the smell was horrific.

The first room I was given was awful. The ceiling tile over the tub was full of mold, the toilet wouldn't flush and the border in the room had mold behind it. I told the front desk and they switched me to another room which was fine. They were very pleasant. The hotel was centrally located to every place that we wanted to go (Newport News Festival, Va. Beach Festival and museums)

Great place to stay. Great staff. Very clean rooms

This hotel is located in a non flood area so it was the chose when having to leave do to a Hurricane. The fact that it allows animals was one reason it was chosen. The only concern is that it could use a make over. The carpet and bedding is very dark. It needs to be brighten up some. The clerks were very kind and helpful during this tense stay.

I have stayed here numerous times, if you just looking for a cheap place to stay with a great location, this is it. Its not the Holiday Inn but dont cost that either. If you looking for a romantic weekend getaway, please choose another hotel

Good value friendly staff

It's adequate for the price. The property could be cleaner and the furnishings are worn, but you get what you pay for and this was fine for a quick one night visit to the area.

This hotel is clean, very affordable, but most of all location is Perfect, right in the heart of everything. My only complaint was the beds are FLAT, HARD and very uncomfortable. I have stayed here numerous of times, the staff has always been nice and pleasant. If you just looking for a weekend get-away its perfect, if you on vacation for a week may want to consider somewhere else.

The hotel was near a mall. It was easy to access from the coliseum. The area was quiet. Housekeeping staff was nice. The exercise room was well equip.

Good location for my visit, hotel was very quiet.
