Unfriendly staff and construction IN the hotel at 8am!!! So loud. Lots of drilling and banging. Very disrespectful

The person at the front desk was very rude, and never made me feel like I was welcome. The next night I heard another front desk worker made your guess feel welcome.

The best part of the hotel is it's location. We could walk to Harvard, and it was about halfway to Boston. What was wrong? The regular lobby is UNDER CONSTRUCTION - I THOUGHT HOTELS.COM WAS SUPPOSE TO KNOW THESE THINGS - then, you know that really cool picture of the patio/terrace looking over the Charles River??? - its closed. They had no intentions of opening it up, and we were there in June. If not then, when??? Disappointing.

I have a high expectation level, and this hotel met that level. I would have liked more HD on the in-room TV, but that is true of most hotels I visit. I would recommend.

Hotel was very good. Taxi service always available. Construction in the first floor but the workers were very quiet. Unexpected $50 service charge though, but besides that the stay was outstanding. A mile from Fenway Park and right next to Harvard University. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful location for visiting Boston! Convenient off the pike, taxi's always present to further your explorations. Very convenient to visit Cambridge! And, don't forget THE COOKIES! :)

Under construction during my stay

the room was comfortable and the view was amazing. I only stayed one night but everyone was very nice and helpful

The cable is very limited and forget about streaming video, the wifi signal is only good enough for email. Everything was very expensive including $35 per day for use of the parking lot.

My only complaint is that lobby is under construction which made getting in and out of lobby from garage a pain and there were no directions from staff on that. Also,revolving door to get into lobby was quirky in how it worked which made it difficult to get into the lobby with luggage

This hotel never disappoints. It's not perfectly convenient to city attractions. You do need to drive into the city, but it is much more affordable than city hotels and service/accomodations are excellent. We use it for short stays that don't require us to go back and forth to the hotel very often during the day.

We loved looking down on the river and seeing the crews practicing on the Charles as well as looking at the skyline of Boston.

Staff was very accommodating to an early check in after arriving on a red eye from the west coast and the lock down of Boston. We really appreciated having a safe and quiet respite.

The suite was very nice and clean. The bedroom window faced the Charles, it was a lovely view both day and night, However, we could hear the kids running outside our door when they ran up and down the hallway. The neighbors slammed their door everytime they came in about 5 or 6 times a day (and night). Though we were on the 8th floor we could hear the activity below us when there were big groups in resturaunt area. Everything was loud. There was no in-room hotel services guide, had to Google everything. When we approached the front desk to get information on the shuttle the single employee was very rude since she was busy with paperwork, it was quite embarrassing. The lobby was under construction which would have been no big deal except for all the other issues. Based on this visit we won't be staying at a DoubleTree again any time soon. So sorry DoubleTree.

Our room was very clean, The white bed linens were crisp clean and spotless. Very friendly and efficient staff. Location is not convenient to public transportation but shuttle service is available to 3 major locations: Harvard Square, Copley Square, and the Aquarium.

We had to plug in a phone charger, so I used the plug behind the night stand....OMG!!! So much garbage was behind the night stand (by the window) I got very upset....I guess we're not supposed to move the furniture but the bathroom plug-in wouldn't work. Also, left charger attached to the wall, called an hour after we checked out, they said they'll mail it to us....3 days later said they don't have it. If it is there, I would like it back

hotel under construction but no concerns where encountered

We had a beautiful 1 bedroom suite facing the Charles River. Huge window in the bedroom gave a great view. The living area with pull out sofa was comfortable but dark. Staff was friendly. We ordered room service and it was delivered in a timely manner. The location is not close to Boston T stops or downtown Cambridge. We were there visiting our son who lives in Boston so it was ok but wouldn't stay there if we were touring the city.

Decent rooms, some inconvenience due to renovations. Hotel is located next to a chemical storage/distribution business, convenient to the interstate.

Loved the cookie; great pool and gym hours; beautiful suites with great view; great set up for adjacent rooms; shuttles overcrowded & sometimes can't accommodate everyone. Appreciated being allowed to check in several hours early.

The room was very nice and all staff were professional, courteous, and attentive. We made extensive use of the provided shuttle service to the Aquarium, The Museum of Fine Arts and The Museum of Natural History. They were always on time.

Staff were quite helpful even though I did not arrive until after 1:00 a.m. The mattress was rather worn out on both sides, could use a replacement. Huge balcony with a lovely view of the Charles River

We enjoyed our stay at the doubletree. The room was nice and it had a great view of the Charles river. Next time we go to Boston we will be staying at the doubletree!

My stay was comfortable and your services were great!

The staff and accommodations at the Doubletree Suites were exactly what we needed. I relied heavily on the staff to help us navigate Boston in order to get to many different appointments at various locations throughout our stay. They were helpful, patient, knowledgeable and, yes, pleasant. The suite layout also ended up being perfect for our needs. I would definitely recommend this property to others!

When I arrived, my reservation was booked by hotel.com as a meeting room. Thank god I had my confirmation copy that showed I had a suite. Next time will book through hotel! Then a family roomed next door with 2 little kids with no supervision and allowed to run and scrOeam through the halls and jump and scream in their room. Went to lobby and requested new room...were very accomodating. Was able to enjoy the rest of the weekend with peace and quiet!

We paid 179 a night at a hotel that put us in a very tight fitting room. It was a one queen bed...very small. The hotel had parking, but there's a 35 dollar a day fee.

The hotel itself is not bad. The room is clean, and staffs are kind and helpful. However, the room is very noisy. You can easily listen to the voices and TV sounds of the next room. If the guest next to your room stay late at night by talking with friends or watching TVs, it's a night mare. You cannot sleep well because of the big noise.

I am a traveling scientist and I have stayed in a lot of hotels this was by far the best experience I have had. The accommodations exceeded my expectations, the front desk was more than helpful. Thank you for the wonderful nights rest.

Wonderful. Great staff. Changed rooms for me when I failed to pay attention to the type of bed my room had. They told me "two singles" and I paid no attention. When I saw the beds they changed the room for me with a smile and even a second cookie.

Nice hotel, clean, very friendly staff, accomodations very roomy.Warm cookies on arrival,expensive to park. Was disappointed not able to get food after 11pm.
