Not a four star restaurant, not clean enough not worth $120 dollars plus tax, location NOT convenient, had to cross expressway to get to anywhere. nothing near by. didn't want nor need a warm cookie. The staff was excellent though.

I think that it's absolutely ridiculous that you have to pay for parking as well as wifi in addition to the room cost. These are two of most simple things that should be included in the price of the room, just the same as all other hotels I've stayed in. On a positive note, the hotel bar was nice.

I travel weekly for work, and in My opinion this hotel was below average. Nice facility however, horrible parking and costs $14/day. I mean really? I'm paying to stay at your hotel... expensive wirelesz. very difficult to find location. Terribly expensive food (two bowls of oatmeal cost $17 and took 30+ minutes)

The guest services staff was very friendly and helpful. The room smelt like a sewerage system and the bed was SO HARD that I woke up with back and leg pain each morning of my stay. The room had hair left in it from who knows when. The overall stay was just okay...nothing to write home about. The lobby area was very nice. The workout facility could stand a make-over, to include a good cleaning!! The equipment was very dusty and nasty!

We stayed here for a conference. The hotel was nestled on the Greenway Plaza. It has a Starbucks. The bar is a good place to have a drink at the end of the day! The staff was professional and courteous!

I stay in many hotels throughout the Houston TX area. This one was the best. Room was adequate, customer service was exceptional it was a wonderful experience. However the restaurant availability was based on occupancy. Otherwise it was perfect.

I like to staycate because I am self employed and rarely get to leave the city. Hotels.com makes it possible with the great prices. I check in Remote doesn't work can't access the pool two hours to get extra towels and couldn't access my room at 1a and couldn't get help to come up I had to go down HOPE THEY UNDERSTAND THAT WHEN IT WAS A MARRIOTT PROPERTY IT WAS A1 Get it together Hilton

The hotel was great. The restaurant food is good. You can eat in the lounge and the lounge is very nice. The room we got had a great view of the city and it was comfortable. Ordered room service and the food was very good and the service also. The rate was good for this hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

It was okay would had rather stayed at Comfort Inn.

not pleased, multiple problems from registration to check out. People were nice but hotel is worn and transition to new property owners poorly planned. would not stay there again.

The hotel was awesome. The hotel staff including the valet was very prompt and caring. The rooms were the perfect size and the bed was extremely comfortable. The gym is really nice too. A cab ride from the hotel to Reliant Stadium was only $13. We will try to book this hotel every time we're in the Downtown Houston area.We loved every moment of our stay!

checked in 11 pm and turned out the receptionists were very unprofessional and unfriendly around this hour.. First impression of my room was a plate at the room's door full of breakfast leftovers. It should have been cleaned up way earlier. Or it could be that the guest had not even checked out yet. So I went back to lobby and asked for room change, staff's attitude was not good.. Place is clean. Location is good.. Didn't bother to try any room service. There were some pretty big events so the hotel garage was totally open, but the front desk still charged me $14 per day parking fee.. I'd very likely try another hotel next time in this part of town.

The staff at the renaissance in Houston were very polite, efficient and understanding. I was treated with grace, respect and dignity.

I was very comfortable and enjoyed staying there.

Our floors had huge stains on them. There were no ice machines on the floor, so we had to get ice from room service. There was not a lid on the ice bucket, so it would melt quickly. The"suite" was one chair and a very small space.

Very convenient location, easy parking

Very slow service on getting a roll away (over 90 minutes) made otherwise acceptable stay too short on sleep. For the price, service was underwhelming, and attitudes in the concierge lounge could use some improvement as well.

We were traveling on business for a convention in dowtown. Taxi service was usually quick and available. Parking was available but they charge you per day. You could valet or self park. The hotel was clean and nice and the staff was freindly. The service for breakfast both mornings was pretty slow even when the place seemed empty. It almost made me late for a few meetings however the food was very good. The only compalint I have with the hotel is the doors slam and slam hard. It kept waking me up all night. They automatically shut and shut very hard.

Overall great stay. Hotel staff very friendly. Would highly recommend hotel and would love to stay again.

We loved the hotel; no complaints about rooms, amenities or the restaurant. My main concern, the only one I lowered my rating for, is the lack of elevator access to the garage level. My wife is unable to manage escalators, the only form of transport between garage and concourse levels. This meant that every time we would arrive we would park in front to the hotel, walk her into the lobby to sit down, then I would go back out to park the car. We would reverse the procedure for departures. Yes, I could have used valet parking; that is not the point. Recognizing that this is an older property that has been renovated several times I understand why there can be no elevator to the parking level. It just isn't going to happen. Maybe there could be a few accessible spaces in front of the hotel for the occasional person who has our unique situation. Until The Renaissance Houston Greenway Plaza announces that they have made an accommodation of some sort, be on notice that the garage is not accessible by elevator!

The hotel that I stayed at helped me to enjoy my stay in Texas even more!

The hotel was a very convenient location for us, food was good and a very friendly staff!

Once I stumbled upon the secret combination of turns that allowed me to find the entrance, checking in was a breeze. My only complaint is on their parking garage. Had I known I was going to have to make a ton of tight, consecutive turns, I would have paid the extra few bucks to have someone park it for me. (I got dizzy and nauseous!) The hotel in general and my room were quite high end and beautiful. I took a bath in the evening and found there to be plenty of hot water. The tub was a standard size but was quite clean. The bed was cozy, however I felt the pillows were either way too soft or way too firm. (Goldilocks much?). The room was quiet. I slept well, being in a big, cozy bed - in a quiet room - in a hotel that I felt was safe. The surrounding neighborhood is composed of mainly office buildings and trees. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay here again in the future.

We had a lovely corner room - everything thing was exceptionally clean. Really enjoyed our stay

Probably will not use this hotel again. My comforter had blood stains on it and for the price that we paid, was disappointed to not even get bottled water or have a frig.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza and the Sheraton both nearby the Renaissance. Both of them a lot cheaper.I thought this time we`d like a better hotel and booked the Renaissance. However, the hotel is ok, but not better than the two cheaper ones at all. Old rooms. The blanket had "red" spots. I don`t like red spots on my bed in a hotel.......so we ordered a new blanket which promptly came. But it shouldn`t even happen in a 4 star hotel. Ok hotel but not worth the price.

Very good hotel, close to Rice university and the Museums of Fine Arts. Great gym and large swimming pool. Good fare served until midnight at the downstairs lounge. Nice also having Starbucks for alternative cheaper breakfast in the lobby. Great stay experience all together.

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to Lakewood church. That being the case it was perfect. The church was within easy walking distance and the staff was very helpful. The self-parking charge of $14 seemed a little high and the pool being right next to the sidewalk with non-guests walking by was a little uncomfortable. Other than those two issues we were very satisfied with our stay and will recommend this hotel to our friends.

We stayed at this hotel while in town for a wedding. It was conveniently located near the church. Only drawback was the windiness outside the lobby. My skirt blew up in front of the valet and I was incredibly embarrassed. Maybe they could try putting up a windscreen? The room was great. Good views of Greenway Plaza (though not much to see really) and the beds were comfortable. Although it was a nonsmoking room, it smelled slightly of cigarettes, and there was a burn mark on the floor. The food was great and the hotel had some pretty decor. Overall it was a great hotel and we would have no problem staying here again.

The hotel room, staff, and service were as advertised, wonderful! However, entering the parking garage was more akin to entry into a nuclear missle silo. The spiral ramp down into the structure was extremely tight, with very low ceiling clearance. The proximity of the hotel to the mega-church next door also created parking spot availability issues. With shows on saturday evening, and obviously sunday morning, engress and egress were challenging. Overall, we liked the hotel, but probably won't stay there again due to the parking lot issue.

From the instant I walked into the hotel I knew my experience would be a great one. My luggage was brought in for me even though I didn't valet my car. The parking garage was convenient and affordable. My room was emaculate all 3 days of my stay. One day housekeeping even organized all of my makeup on the counter. I felt as though I was at home during my stay here and everyone was very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
