Pullman Paris Montparnasse - פריז

Looking for a reliable modern fuss free accommodation, We were three of us friends so we were offered a room with, what they called, two double beds. Sounded perfect, so we made a fully prepaid, non refundable booking on Hotels.com. At some 900 plus rooms, this Pullman is a factory! Runs like a machine, and wants you to be one also! Pros: Very neat, clean and no fuss. All modern ameneties, decent bath, kettle, ice making machine on floor. Nice breakfast spread!! Cons: Totally non personal, stand in a queue for everything: checkin/checkout/breakfast. You are just a number in 900 to attend to. Double beds were actually Queen sized beds, big for one and small for two. So we shifted and joined them, and whoever was in the center joint woke up with a backache! Totally, and as they say strictly non-smoking. When we requested for a smoking room, they regretted availability and informed us of a Euro 300 fine if any of us took the liberty of lighting up in the room!! Had we not prepaid, would have cancelled our stay at that point. Overall: If you can pay upwards of $ 300 to subject yourself to their "rules and regulations", don't mind standing for 15 min queue for breakfast or for checkins/checkouts, then a neat/decent/convenient but forgettable place to stay in this most beautiful city of Paris! Higher floors have fantastic city views, though no Eiffel Tower view.

We were very happy when we arrive at the hotel. The room were spacious and the bed is comfortable. I came to paris last december but the hotel i stay in opera was very small and this is the best choice. I will definitely choose to stay in this hotel when I come to Paris.

I stayed with my family (wife and two daughters) for two nights in a family room with two double beds in end April, 2013. Everything about the hotel was great. It was very near to the Montparnasse tower. The service in the hotel was very good. We enjoyed our stay and would not mind staying again. Unlike other hotels in Paris, the room was quite big.

Hotel lobby is undergoing much needed renovations. Renovated guest rooms and baths are much larger than I had anticipated, very nice, excellent beds, and very sound proof rooms. Breakfast in the Justine restaurant is much better than being seated in the overflow room. Lunch at the Justine lunch buffet was excellent, but beware of very expensive beverages in this restaurant. Lines for Concierge were long, and I was not pleased with some of the mis-information I was provided by the concierge regarding local tours. Received incorrect information twice, which greatly inconvenienced us as our stay in Paris was not long enough to make up the time we lost due to the Concierge error. That aside, the hotel location is wonderful and we were very comfortable there.

We love this hotel for several reasons. 1st: Location was great because Air France airport bus (line 4) stop just in front of hotel. 2nd: Breakfast was fantastic.. Loads of diff meats, breads, fruits.. Only lacking vegetables. 3rd: Room was clean and not too small. Bed with Fluffy Pillow was super comfortable. This is one big grand hotel with fantastic help with where to go and how... Strongly recommend to all!!!!!!!!

Buffet breakfast was excellent!

amazing brkfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff,Clean and quiet rooms. coffee in room delicious w/nespresso machine. Close to transportation.bath amenities replenished efficiently. wonderful stay for 6nts.

I travel extensively and I highly recommend the Pullman Paris Montparnasse. The hotel itself is very well located right across the street from the Montparnasse train station and from the Air France airport suttle bus. Montparnasse iteself is a good, central location with lots of restaurants and a highly animated ambience. You can walk from here to St. Germain du Pres, (if you like to walk) and other areas. The lobby is a bit drab, however the rooms are bright, very spacious, well appointed, very clean, and the bathroom is luxurious by French standards. The beds were very comfortable with nice duvets, extras cushiony pillows, and we happend to have a regal view of Paris from the 10th floor. When you look at the prices of hotels in Paris, this one is well priced for what they offer.

Everything was simply great! This is not exactly a criticism since it seems like a going trend in Europe ( we have seen elevated tubs in many European countries) but I suggest not to make bathroom tubs so high. It is a bit scary to go in and out of the tub for shower or to use the tub for bath. The tub there is almost 24-36 inches high. My husband I kept reminding each other to be very careful!

Stayed in family room with wife and 2 children and was very satisfied with the stay. Clean rooms and a nice breakfast, hotel is good value for money in Paris. The surrounding neighbourhood is not great, but now far from all the sights of Paris. Located next to a big train station there a good connections everywhere. A big plus is also the Air France bus with direct transfers to the airports right opposite the hotel.

Initial i tough that this hotel is very good location but after we stay in, we found that surrounding there is not much place we can go. But the hotel service requice is really bad. We request for 2 tower need to wait more than 10 hours. We request for 4 pcs of fork immediate the house keeping for Euro 5. Especially for pullman brand is really not up to the standard.

Overall our experienced was very good, very friendly and helpfull staff. My only complain is that the toilet area in our room did not have heat and the toilet seat was always extremely cold.

The staffs were very friendly, courteous, helpful. The breakfast was awesome. Everything was just wonderful.

The Pullman Paris Montparnasse was a great hotel experience! The beds and bathroom were very clean and comfortable! The staff was attentive and helpful! We truly enjoyed our stay! The location is a bit out of the way of the major sites, but not too much of an issue with the metro and bus stop close by! Would definitely stay here again!

Great traditional hotel. Nice (substantial breakfast). Nice room and bathroom. Clean and odor-free (for cigarettes). Very near Gaite metro station - around the block. Grocery and small mall adjacent to hotel.

We stayed in Paris for four nights and the hotel was a great place to stay for my family. We found the hotel online and we could not be more pleased with the hotel and their staff. The hotel staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Great location with lots to do and plenty of great places to eat. The metro and train station is directly across the street making it easy to travel.

Great hotel, staff, food, facilities, exceeded expectations for sure. Montparnasse itself hasnt got huge amount going on for what we wanted but i would stay again for guaranteed service is lovely hotel

It's a great place to stay if you fly in from Orly, the Air France bus drops you off outside the hotel at Gare Montparnasse. Lovely room, ever so slightly disappointed with level of cleanliness. There was cheese and ham left in the fridge from the last occupant and also a cotton bud behind the bed. Other than that I would highly recommend it, lovely breakfast, free wifi, great bar. It has two supermarkets within 3 mins walk which is handy if you want a drink. The Nespresso machine and kettle was a great plus too!

Lovely rooms, fabulous breakfast. Great location to stay and explore Paris from. We stayed in room 2214 which had the best views of Paris. Would definitely stay here again as its a good location. Lots of reasonably priced restaurants nearby too.

I really enjoyed the Hotel Pullman in Montparnasse. The breakfast was fantastic. The service was first-rate. We were upgraded to the 24th floor on arrival, which meant we had a lovely view of the city. The concierge was also very helpful when recommending really nice French cuisine restaurants in the local area. I will definitely stay here again when in Paris.

Liked the hotel, very business like. Great rooms, great breakfast buffet. would stay again.

Great location, easy access to all sights but terrible service. We had a family room booked but the staff insisted on leaving only a couple of towels. Phoning and asking reception wad pointless as no one would turn up. Also this hotel was very expensive and not worth it considering the overall service. It was no better then a bed and breakfast - just larger and very packed with tourists herded as part of tours.

booked through hotels.com for family room. hotel did not have one available but was very helpful in giving us two adjoining rooms. Service was courteous and rooms clean. Breakfast included which was "american " style with good service and plenty of variety. Good location near the metro.

we were very very diossapointed with the staff extremely arrogant , not freindly at all . they made sure you know that they are going out of their way to speak english . At one point we caught them laughing at us . the breakfast buffet was th e best thing about thi s hotel and the air france bus stop across the st. we will definatly stay there again, i have always booked with hotels.com for hotels in italy and have been so satisfied this was our firts time in paris. our wake up call was missed ..no clock in the room they asked u to opertae teh TV to get teh alarm which was not user friendly at all. when we all messages on the phone was in french and they gave us such an attitude when we asked them to translate or change it to english. i stay in a lot of hotels but this was really the worse hotel i have ever stayed specially w/ theiir customer service. thank you.

Everything was very nice at the hotel and convenient to metro and train. Would have liked a more quaint, French community. Would recommend. Breakfast was amazing.

Conveniently located right across from Gare Montparnasse and near several metro lines, this hotel worked perfectly for our family. There are several good restaurants nearby, including a charming little bistro called Les Frangines, and plenty of shops. The hotel staff were very helpful and most noteworthy, the breakfast is ABSOLUTELY worth the price: ample hot options, including many that will appeal to North Americans, fresh fruit, good coffee. We'd certainly stay here again!

Hotel opposite mainline railway and metro station making all of the sights easily accessible. The hotel provides a high standard of accommodation, with the breakfast providing a good start to the day. Hotel staff friendly and helpful - our family room was upgraded to a luxury suite on arrival, which made the stay all the more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely use again. Air France coach service to CDG airport stops directly opposite hotel making transfers easy also.

The only thing missing was coffee in the room. Also I wish they leave a bottle of water to welcome tired travelers. The hotel is conveniently located. The Metro is within 3-5 minutes walk. The bus to the airport stops opposite the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants of every ethnic food nearby. Those who want to see Paris on their own should consider staying here. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Our second visit in a week - coming back from Lourdes via Gare Montparnase. Five minutes from getting off the train to the hotel lobby. Got upgraded to a deluxe room, newly refurbished with an extremely comfortable king-size bed and beautiful bathroom. Faint cigarette smell in our non-smoking room, but a spritz wiith cologne took care of that. Terrific view from the 24th floor. Service was excellent. Had dinner in the restaurant (because we got in late) - very pricey, but the food and service were excellent. Kudos to our waiter Karumba.

Picked it for its proximity to Gare Montparnase (across the street). Room was small but very comfortable. Service was excellent.

Was great except at 1:45am someone started beating on our door and yelling open up! Security came but couldn't catch them. Rude awakening for us.

All in all very good but 12 euro was a bit excessive for a pint of beer at the bar. Breakfast was really good and friendly service

The young woman who checked us in was very accommodating. For breakfast there was a lot of selection including rolls still warm from the oven, fresh fruit, juice, etc. (it was included with our package). The metro station was quite close to the hotel and easy to use. There were a lot of good restaurants close by as well. The only problem that we encountered at the hotel was on the morning of our departure when the elevators were so crowded that after several minutes we walked down to the lobby with our hand luggage.

I stayed at the Pullman Montparnasse because it was close to my business meetings. It's not in the trendiest area of Paris, but the neighborhood was clean had plenty of bistros. A shopping area and train station are very close. This hotel is on par with a Westin - spacious rooms, comfortable beds, overall very nice.

Great hotel. Great value. Great location.

We were really enjoyed our stay at this hotel . I will recommend this Hotel in Paris to all my friedns .

We (family of four, kids are 8 and 3) stayed for three nights before heading off to the south of France (Aquitaine/Dordogne). We really liked the Pullman Montparnasse, service was excellent throughout and the room very comfortable - the only slight criticism would be that at times, the lift capacity was overstretched eg around popular breakfast and check out times. We walked to the Eiffel Tower (45 min) and really enjoyed all the cafes and restaurants in the Montparnasse area. It is very close to Gare Montparnasse, which was very handy for us as we took the TGV from there to Bordeaux.
