Days Inn Branson / Near the Strip - ברנסון

We stopped by early in the morning to see what the earliest time we could check in was and the desk clerk immediately put us in our room. The room was clean with a king size bed and a whirlpool bath. The bathroom was a bit small but adequate. We had to leave early so we couldn't enjoy the breakfast but was able to see that there were eggs and biscuits & gravy along with the typical continental breakfast. We were able to grab coffee, fruit and a yogurt at 5:45 a.m.

good room for the price, not far from the strip but far enough away from all the traffic, breakfast was okay and it was free.

If you are looking for this hotel and don't know your way around...you will probably miss it...we did. The sign says Southern Comfort Inn...not Days Inn. The room was decent, bed was comfortable. I'm assuming that our room was a handicapped room, due to the huge bathroom. The shower was a bit small/short for taller people and the towels were rough, not soft in the least. The toilet paper was awful, sandpaper-like also. Front desk was helpful...even had a corkscrew we borrowed. The breakfast was pretty good...biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, yogurt, cereal, several bread items, juice, coffee, milk.

For 50 bucks I cant complain to much but to help everyone else looking for a room I will.. the rooms are pretty normal nothin special but don't seem to be dirty so thats good. The worst thing about the stay was the free breakfast. Its horrible. Most everythings out of date or out of order. So don't let it having a free breakfast be tbe deciding factor. The hotels.com price makes the blah boring and terrible breakfast worth it.

very nice, affordable, clean, hot breakfast . Would definitely stay here again

Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Carpets were very old and dirty-needed to be replaced. Also mattresses need to be replaced as were slooping inward. Otherwise very clean and nice bathrooms. Very nice breakfast with biscuts and gravy, something we Northerners don't have!

Very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Southern Country hotel was a perfect place to stay in Branson. It is located near theaters, restaurants and shopping, yet away from the high-traffic areas. Hospitality was super--hot breakfast and quick cleaning. This is where we will stay when we return.

There were a few things that were less than perfect, but overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, was located near a very nice restaurant and was easily accesible. We heard they had breakfast every morning, but with 3 busloads of people staying there we did not have a chance to sample it. However, there were several nice breakfast buffets in town.

We really appreciated the breakfast variety, though it was highly over-seasoned and over-salted. The breakfast area was large, but still small for the crowd during our stay. We also liked the quietness of the area.

PLANNED TO STAY 3 DAYS, STAYED 5 DAYS, AND WOULD HAVE STAYED MORE BUT I HAD 2 KETCH AMTRAK BACK TO CA. WITH A CAR WE WOULD HAVE STAYED ANOTHER WEEK...SOUTHERN COUNTRY INN WAS NICELY LOCATED, VERY CONVENIENT, PERSONEL WAS VERY HELPFUL, NICE BREAKFAST AND ATTENDANT WAS FIT FOR THAT JOB...WAS BACK IN THAT AREA --SMALL TOWN IN NE NEBRASKA FOR MY 60TH SCHOOL REUNION AND THE TRIP TO BRANSON WAS THE HILITE OF THE VACATION. SOUTHERN COUNTRY INN - I WILL BE BACK-HOPEFULLY IN 2015 WHEN MY HOMETOWN IS CELEBRATING ITS 125TH CENTENNIAL AND CLASS REUNION AT THE SAME TIME...MAYBE BEFORE.WE LOVED OUR STAY IN BRANSON.

Would definitely stay here again. Great location. Easy access to anywhere in Branson. Breakfast area too small. But food was good.

Even though the place was only about 1/4 full, it seemed that guests were assigned rooms all in one section. The pounding from the guests above and listening to the voices of my " neighbors" was almost unbearable. Take your earplugs...

The walls in the hotel were not padded enough. Could hear our neighbors. There was not enough room in the breakfast area and we could avail ourselves of the free breakfasts. The parking lot was set up in a rather strange way and parking was difficult. The people were nice, the appearance of the hotel was nice, but we would not stay there again.

we enjoyed our stay in branson. great location of the motel. easy to get to everything we wanted to do. clean rooms, nice host, breakfast was nice.

beds were comfortable. carpets need cleaning or replacing. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast area very cramped and not user friendly. How can you put biscuits and gravy on a very tiny desert size plate? There is room for only half with a little dab of gravy on it. Amenities very sparse, but the necessities were there. Rates were fair for what you got and would probably stay again.

It was a nice place to stay. Very close to all the attractions. Only downfall was the Continental breakfast wasn't much but for the price I was satisfied.

Nice hotel. Only downfall, it allowed pets, but not really a good grassy area to take them.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is built on a hill (most of the hotels are). If you park close to the front you can walk straight back and be on the 3rd floor. Didn't realize this when we checked in. We carried everything up the 2 flights of stairs. Later when we ventured out for breakfast we found we could go straight across. We loaded our luggage when we left from the front and didn't have to deal with the steps.

Hotel was very nice. hot breakfast was good. beds was soft. hotel was very clean. shower was great. would come back again.

It was very nice. Especially since it was a last minute birthday celebration trip to shop and visit the Titanic exhibit.

Very dissatisfied with the air conditioning in my room. The day of check in I call the front desk and advised the clerk that the air conditioning wasn't working well in my room. She was going to check to see if she could move me and call me back. She never called. On 8/17/12, I was gone all day and returned to my room after 11pm. I was awoken around 2 or 3 am to a screeching noise commning from the air conditioner. I called the front desk and spoke with a gentleman, explained what was going on and he came t the room to check the air conditioner. He agreed there was something wrong and after pulling the cover off he said it was completely froze up. He was going to check to see if he coudl move me and put a call in to maintenance but the wouldn't be in till 6:30am. Needless to say the room he was going to move me to also had an issue with the airconditioner. So I opted to wait for maintenance. Someone finally showed up and changed the unit 2 times before they found one that worked quietly. If the unit had been changed when I first notified the front desk the day I checked in I wouldn't of had any problems with my stay. The person on duty on 8/16/12 did not do her job. I will not stay at your hotel or recommend anyone else to stay there because of the air conditioning issue that wasn't resolved on 8/16/12. The room was nice, the beds were very comfortable, the comode had an odor and the sink wouldn't drain very well.

When we first arrived, the staff at front desk were courtious just...not "friendly"...but the next day same people very different different..in a goodway..its important to remember we never know what a person going through at that moment and not jump to conclusions...they had a hot breakfast in the mornings and a VERY sociable friendly lady LANA who enjoys what she does and you can tell it....Our room was clean, and beds were comfy..only problem we had was the shower wasnt draining, and it turned out that we were just a lil country to know we had to turn it to the side..Very friendly staff, clean, safe, a lil but not far away from the hustle and bustle, and i think thats why we liked it soooo much..like I said we will definetly book again :D

We just needed a room for sleeping after a busy day of sight seeing & shopping. However, in the mornings I like my coffee. This hotel has a coffee maker that makes ONE CUP of coffee at a time .. not good for 2 people who are caffeine dependent in the mornings.

I was worried when I booked our stay bc I have booked places that looked great but turned out bad. I should not have worried at all. This place was everything it said it was. Just what we were looking for!

I had an overnight stay and this really is a nice hotel for quick/easy access to the Branson strip. It is also nicely located about 20 miles north of Big Cedar Lodge in case you want to visit there. Note to hotels.com the address of this hotel location is misspelled. The address says Sheperd instead of Shepherd so if you type the exact address into GPS it will not be found.

Just fine considering the low cost.

Everything was very good. Sausage/gravy was great. Ice machine noise outside my window was only drawback. I'll be back but not in the room by the ice machine.

Really good hotel for the price. Full service breakfast bar with eggs, sausage, biscuits, etc. Only problem was that room air conditioner had soaked the carpet at the door area. Let hotel know and they said they would let maintenance know. We still stayed in that room for our 3 day stay. Everything else was great and we would stay there again. Within 15 min drive of old down town and even closer to some of the main strips entertainment area.

The front desk people were very nice and helpful. The lady that prepared the breakfast area each morning was an absolute delight. She was friendly and worked hard to make everyone feel at home. This is a nice place if you are looking for a homey atmosphere. The rooms were quiet. The only problem that I had was that all of the rooms opened to the outside. If I had been traveling alone I would have moved for that reason alone. Overall a GREAT hotel.

Excellent motel for the money. Staff was very friendly, and helpful. We usually make a trip to Branson a couple of times each year, and this is the motel we will stay at from now on.

Perfect hotel for the price.

The hotel was nice and the room was clean, however the air conditioner didn't work well. I spoke to the front desk about this and they said they would have maintenance look at it but it never got fixed. Other than this I have no complaints.

We paid for 3 nights and ended up leaving because we could not sleep because the bed , sheets and pillows were so uncomfortable. The bed had a mattress pad that wadded everytime you moved. I ended up taking it off the bed the second night, but there was a yipping dog next door the second night so we got no sleep and had to go home a day earlier. The pillow is a foot high and hard, but the worst was the sheets are so rough, our cheeks and chins were red the next morning. The second night I used my nightgown top and wrapped my pillow so I could lay my face on it. We ate breakfast with ya'll the first morning and the bisquits were hard and cold. We found our own the next morning. Over all we spent way too much money on the room and had to leave early, so we are not really happy at all, and it was our anniversary.

The stay was good. They offered a great breakfast lots of hot food and the lady working was a sweetheart. The frount desk service was also great to deal with. The cleaning held need a little more direction. We didn't need a lot done during our stay but we did ask to have extra washcloths. We only got 2 for the room. We had to go and ask for them. That was the only problem we had for the intire stay. I would stay here again.

This hotel was ok. The room was clean, we liked the 3rd night free special but, the breakfast was awful, we had to go out and purchase breakfast each morning. Our room was in the back of the hotel and we were told there were no other rooms available but this was not true. The hotel must invest in microwaves and dvd players. We wanted to heat some leftovers from dinner and the front desk informed us we would have to pay and extra daily fee for a microwave. Charging guest extra per day for the use of a microwave was simply ridiculous to me. We also wanted to look at a movie and was told the hotel did not offer dvd players. We would not select this hotel on our return visit, I love Branson and we go 4 to 7 days each year.

WE HAD A GOOD TIME. I'M GLAD WE BOOKED THIS HOTEL. IT WAS OFF THE BEATEN PATH SO TRAFFIC WASN'T TOO BAD. HOTEL WAS QUIET EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FULL.
