Marriott Hotel Tijuana - טיחואנה

Nice hotel, if I ever get back to Tijuana I would vertically stay there. The room was great; however, I couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater so it was a bit chilly for the night. I also booked a second room, but my colleague's room did not have a window. Might want to ask about a window for your room when booking.

My husband and I went to Tijuana for a few days to get away and visit friends and family. The hotel has free valet parking friendly staff waiting at the door to greet you and help you in every way possible. The rooms were clean, the entire hotel was very nice.........Definately lives up to it's name!

We really enjoyed our night there. The hotel was well organized, with tasteful decor and comfortable. It was perfectly situated for us, since we were in TJ for a New Year's party at the condo of some friends who live in the tower next door! But it was also close to the new mall near the racetrack where we were able to do some shopping!

Great hotel, beds were comfy though not fluffy like the westin heave beds. Clean, quite. Lots of pillows cotton and feathers. tea/coffe in the room and 2 free water bottles. free wifi. if you pay a little extra at the desk upgrade to the executive floors where they have a lounge on the 10th floor, breakfast - egg dish, waffles, yogurt, toast, fruit, tea/coffee enough to get you started. Then in the evening at 5pm there have some salad, sushi, cheese pantry (1/2 hot dishes), nuts, wines, beer, soft drinks. Rooms ending in X06 overlooks a busy intersection so you can hear a little bit more some traffic as they start up at the lights. The rest is all very quite. we are in 914 looking over the golf course, and really quite. Wonderful restaurant with a mix of food types. You can walk 5 minutes up the main road to a shopping mall with tons of American style restaurants, or left out of the hotel about 4 minutes and on the right is a fantastic mexican restaurant the roof is in the shape of a large mexican hat, the food here was AMAZING! We did not understand the menu and the waiter just asked what we like.. chicken, fish, meat, guacamole, cheese, and he brought a starter and an amazing meal for us.. we could not have ordered better. We felt safe walking down the road either way to the two places. Hotel staff were fantastic, allow us to change rooms a few times because we are picky ;-) we would for sure stay here again.

Hotel was nice, nothing super fancy, but good service and clean rooms. Would stay here again. We were close to good restaurants and other attractions. Make sure to follow exact directions. it can get a little tricky trying to actually get into parking lot.

Should be considered the equal to Lucurne or the Grand Hotel in TJ. Great service ......great rooms.....great bed. Located adjacent to all the many fine restaurants in TJ. Had a great steak dinner at La Lena...great breakfast at Potrero...all in walking distance. A true Marriott hotel.

The hotel had no power for the entire evening and nothing was mentioned and or done to aid the guests. No posted notes, No offer of extra water as the AC was not working. Bad experience when event out of the normal occurs.

My friend & I enjoyed our stay tremendously at The Marriott in TJ....I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to TJ for business or leisure....I was VERY impressed with my stay there! I personally give it 5 Star rating!

The room was modern, clean, large flat screen tv, free fast wifi, balcony, golf course view, complimentary valet parking, continental breakfast delivered to your door, free shoe shine. The room was clean, 6 pillows and a roll. I appreciated the hotel security, guests can only use the elevators using their room key. It will only go to the floor they are on.

The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. I found only one staff member that spoke English; however, it was not a problem for me as I am proficient in Spanish. Any prospective hotel guest probably should investigate the availability of English speaking hotel staff

Nice hotel, friendly staff,, I stayed there for 4 days, i had great food during this period,,, drinks and all the facilities were good

My family and I were concerned not knowing if this was a good area to stay at due to all the violence in Tijuana. We thought we would spend Christmas in our room with a 14 month old for 3 whole nights.... We were wrong! Hotel was nice and well kept in. Staff was WONDERFUL!!! From house keepers to valet survice; they were all wonderful and very friendly we are so glad that we stayed there. A few members of the staff informed us about the near shops and restaurants where it would be safe... they were right! Everyone was very friendly at the shopping center about 3-5 minutes away from the hotel. I would like to thank the staff for such a wonderful stay and hope to see you all soon!

Overall the Hotel was decent... but eat out since the restaurant is not good at all! A major plus is that check out is at 1 oclock

We stayed one night, but we were impress by the service, staff. We are going back in a couple of weeks again we will stay @ Marriott Tijuana. Great food, great drinks, Spacious, rooms, comfortable beds. We just love it. Great Service. Hotel is only rated 3 Diamonds, but it should be 5.*****

Alarm clock in room went off at 5:00am, I assume set by a previous guest but should have been checked by housekeeping to turn alarm off. Telephones in my room (701) did NOT WORK! God forbid any emergency...had to make call from hall way to confirm time. I travel internationally through times zones and did not need to be woken up by someone else's alarm setting.

Dealing with TJ can be stressful but hotel was very relaxing. It was not close enough to downtown to walk to restaurants or shops but the hotel restaurant was very good. Staff was very helpful and almost all spoke English well. Security is always a concern when traveling but the hotel felt safe and I did not worry about my car in the lot. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.

It's a very nice hotel, and it's located near a nice mall where you can spend some time. It's not really cheap but for Tijuana is worth staying there!!! I would definitively recommend that hotel!

Everyone who works there has a great attitude and makes you feel comfortable. The room was very clean and the location is excellent. It's very near the stadium where concerts and games are played. I would definitely come back here again.

Everybody thinks of tj as a low standar city. This hotel has a very good service, nice building and pool, close to the a nice mall, racetrack, vip cinemas you cant find in the US.

Overall probably the best place to stay in TJ.

If you are expecting the comfort or quality associated with the brand Marriott I can tell you that you’re in for a big disappointment with this outpost. First off the lobby very stark with little to talk about. There’s a small bar over to the left but there’s absolutely no enticement to wander over, even if it is just 10 or so feet away, unless you absolutely and unequivocally are craving alcohol. Just behind the bar is the hotel restaurant. I made the mistake of having dinner here one night. In a country known for big portions of good cheap food, this place knew nothing of good, cheap or adequate portions. I’ve had bigger meals of haute cuisine served to me. With the exception of the main lobby which is marble tile, the hallways and a the rooms, except for the rooms’ entrance foyer and bathroom, which are also marble, are all brown carpets circa 1982. The hallways were dimly lit. Working light fixtures in the room were hit or miss. The sound quality of the flat panel TV so awful it was easier to just keep it off. Having stayed at other local hotels in the area (Camino Real, Pueblo Amigo, Lucerna) I can unequivocally state that there are much better local accommodations at the same price point or cheaper. the Marriott unfortunatley was very disappointing indeed.

Well situated in TJ, this hotel boasts fantastic views and excellent service. The room was comfortable and the staff were attentive.

They gave me a different bed from what I have choosen. Poor customer service. One of the phones in the room did not work. One of the lamps did not work. My poor boyfriend was so disappointed with the bed size.

This is the third time I stay here. I feel safe and secure here, and the rooms are very comfortable. I really enjoy the enviroment, although the restaurant could and use some work (a little bit more international food). Overall, great experience!

Hotel was as expected, except for the TVs. They have the older kind, the video quality is crap and the channel selection is horrible, a few Mexican channels and no local San Diego channels at all. I couldn't even watch the Chargers Monday Night Football game, they only had ESPN Deportes which sucks. Breafast is very good there, every day there is a buffet or a la carte option. Recently renovated, with an European modern feel. Staff helpful and friendly. Computers in the business center are very old and still use IE 6.0 for gawds sake. I was able to install Firefox on one of them, which isn't a compliment because guest computers shouldn't allow the guests to install any software at all people, get with the program and hire a competent sysadmin!

It's a clean & comfortable, perfect for business & family. The personnel are very kind also.

We are Realtors in California so we know about Service. This is by far the Best Hotel in Tijuana, Mexico and easy to find. Check-in was about 15 minutes. Every staff member we were in contact with, were kind, considerate and attentive. Breakfast Buffet is Amazing, from fresh fruits, yogurts to omeletts, and typical Mexican food. Lobby Bartender Christina makes amazing Applettini's. The Music Lounge has great evening atmosphere. Look forward to future visits.
