Days Inn Middleboro Ma - מידלבורו

The first room I had been assigned smelt like smoke and when brought to the attention of the staff they moved us immediately. They were still working on updating the rooms. It was booked for the price and the location to other events in the area. It did not matter what was around us as far as the neighborhood.

The hotel is in the middle of renovating both inside and out. Painters continued painting until 8PM right outside our window. The first room we were offered had not been cleaned. It was convenient and safe to walk to the grocery store which was located behind the hotel.

Hotel is clean and is in the process of replacing carpets and painting halways. Service was super and very friendly. Normal amenities and great FREE Wifi. Location was great being very close to Cape Cod. Rates were very good for the area. Highly recommended for anyone on a budget.

The hotel is dated but the rooms are clean and the price is right. You will not find a better value in the area. If you are looking for luxury accomidations, go somewhere else. I'm on a budget and have stayed there many times and am always happy with my stay.

The facility is in need of remodeling. Painting appears to have been going on. Carpets throughout were stained with paint.

Front desk and surrounding area was in painted and unfinished. Saw dust and paint chips all over the floor and stairs. Room was clean, but entire building smelt of paint fumes. Even when finished it will still be what it is a flea motel that surprisingly doesn't advertise hourly rates.

snow storm - lost TV no big deal - water shut off for 2 hours - in the afternoon - when I got back to room around 9:00 pm - shower water started coming out black

Needed a place to get a good nights sleep. Did the job.

Needs remodel, NOW!

The Good: The staff was superb and friendly. Towels and linen was clean. Wireless internet connectivity was hassle-free. The not so good: If this motel has been recently renovated, I must've been in a room on the to-do list. The carpet had that aged and soiled look, but wasn't torn or in poor shape. Items in the room were discoloerd by age. Multiple layers of caulking in the bathroom had that old, brown look. Tile grout was yellow-brown. The inside of the desk lamp shade looked like someone shook, then opened a can of cola under it... sometime last year. The couch upholstery was stained and ripped. There were large dust bunnies under the night table (which my wife discovered when she reached to grab a dropped earing). The hot water wasn't consistent. Lamp shades in the corriders were aged and cracked. The lobby breakfast had a nice waffle station, but other than that it was a limited continental style offering. Bottem Line: This motel has a very affordable rate compered to nearby competitors so somewhat contrary to my review, for the rate one can't complain too much - afterall you get what you pay for.

The stay was only for 1 night, it could do with some updates in the main lobby area .. Would appeal better to costumer.. Nice flat screen in room, though remote not working, staff did not bother to help other than provide with 'double sided tape' to affix the remote reception apparatus -- still did not work- - breakfast was good

The hotel was priced right and was convenient to personal event. Was not at the hotel very long each day. Used it as a place to sleep. Room was clean. There was an smoke or closed up odor as you walked into the room.

The first room we got was supposed ot be non smoking..... It was not. the blanket on top of the bed had cigarette holes ALL over it! The room smelled Horrible. when looking at the bed you could clearly see 2 indentations from where people have slept on the mattress for many many many years. I called the customer service desk and we were moved to another room. This room smelled of bug chemicals but was much cleaner. We were just there for an overnight after our function so we stayed and woke up and left first thing in the morning.

The front of the hotel was facing toward the back of the building, which was a dull drab grey color, depressing. The windows were wet with condensation and the water was dripping onto the window sill, the drapes, and the floor. The staff was not very friendly.

The staff was accommodating and friendly. The room was large enough for four people and comfortable could have been cleaner. The lobby was good looking. For the rates that were charged with breakfast included it was very inexpensive. We go to this area about 6 or7 times a year and will definitely return here. I was a bit Leary when I first read the reviews but was surprised that it was not bad at all.I have stayed at many hotels in the area and over all it was very comparable.

Check-in was easy enough but the front desk person wasn't very engaging. He would answer questions minimally and had no idea of where we could go for a nice dinner in the area. The hotel wasn't convenient to much other then the highway for easy access.

for the two nights we stayed at the hotel it was not bad. the only thing i had a big issue with is that my room 225 smelt really bad of smoke like someone just smoked in the room. i do know that the rooms were all booked so there wasn't much room for us to eat breakfast so we went out both mornings.

First we were given a smoking room, when I pointed out we had reserved a non-smoking, the response was 'take it up with Hotels.com'. After insisting on a non- smoking room, we were given one that had already been assigned. That resulted in a scene between the clerk and the other guests when they turned up an hour later. Not a good experience for us.

Apparently due to construction, there was no Days Inn sign near the main road. I wandered around for about half an hour before finding it behind the McDonald's. When I did find it, I was disappointed with the dirty stairway to the second floor, the cracked windows at the top of the stairs, and the (lack of) cleanliness of the room. The sheets seemed clean, so I stayed between them as much as I could.

Although it was our fault not to mention handicap,the room was so far to walk to. They also hAD A PARTY GOING ON. kIDS WERE RUNNING ALL OVER THE HOTEL AND WERE VERY NOISY AND UNCONTROLLED BY PARENTS.bEING THAT WE WERE SO FAR DOWN THE HALLWAY IT WAS MORE QUITE THERE. bUT A FAR WALK FROM THE ELEVATOR AND TO OUR ROOM. THE KIDS WERE ALSO PLAYING WITH THE ELEVATOR SO THERE WAS A LONG WAIT TO GET IT.

This hotel is horrible. they don't clean it. Everything about it is disgusting. Even if your trying to rationalize that it's just "one night" don't do it. Your bettter off sleeping in your car. There is no such thing as non-smoking here. Even though they tell you the room is non smoking it smells like someone smoked three pack a day for thirty years in there. It's a joke, they're just ripping people off. Stay away.

1st impression was basically decent, but there was a strong stale (cigarettes/cheap air freshener) odor throughout the entire place. The pool was actually in good condition- clean w/ a tidy patio area. The room was OK, bright yellow and dated paint job. Maybe it was the odor, but just got a feeling room wasn't very clean. Carpet was newer, but had sticky spots. I didn't want to take off my shoes, though. Also, a simple fix- dust the surfaces! Staff was polite and helpful. Site is located w/in walking distance of fast food, but nothing more even if you drive. We ended up needing to be in the area a 2nd night, but went elsewhere.

We arrived at 7:00PM and the room we have reserved had not been cleaned as a result we were assigned another room. This room had major water damage recently. The room reeked of mold and mildew, the wall paper was stapled to the wall and all the furniture was coming apart from water damage. There was no one we could complain to because there were no managers or assistant managers in the hotel for the entire weekend. There was actually mold growing around the bathroom sink. The tub was dirty in the shower and the toilet was not attached to the floor. DON"T SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!!!

I had a non-smoking room, but it smelled like they had changed it to non-smoking that morning. Bedding was clean, but the room was beat up -- spackled walls, dinged furniture, tired looking. Walls were a very cheery (and bright) yellow. A/C could have been stronger.

It was a convenient location. Room smelled like cigarette smoke- even though it was smoke free room. Nice view of pool. Wish chamber maid had left on the air conditioning the day it was 100 degrees, but room was able to cool back down. Liked that I could open a window when it wasn't so hot.

The lobby stunk of cigarette smoke. All smokers congregate directly outside the doors. There are dubious women on the edge of the building at various hours of the day and night, waiting for who-knows-what. People drive up and down the parking lot all hours of the night with vile-language music blaring, or simply park, and blare and swear - including at their unfortunate kids. Supposedly some "Training Program" for magazine sales happens daily, with all the trainees requiring smoke-breaks every 1/2 hour, upon which they flock through the lobby loudly swearing and carrying on, while patrons are having breakfast. The reception staff look like they have better things to do. The housekeepers do a fine job cleaning the rooms, but the rooms themselves smell like cigarette smoke sprayed with cedar scent. Never again! Save yourselves and book elsewhere.

We stayed for 4 nights the room was Great! it was very clean the beds were very comfortable and the bedding looked brand new pillows were very soft and cushy House keeping came by everyday with clean towels ect. the room had microwave refridge coffee maker and 2 tvs I think they were upgrading to HD Tv so my son who is Autistic watched cable on one and we hooked up his video game system to the other wireless internet was available in the room the bathroom shower had great water pressure the staff were very nice if we needed anything all we had to do was ask there also are luggage carts so you don't have to carry all your luggage to your room and elevator too and breakfast was included as a bonus there were no cigarette smoke odors as I am agergic inside the hotel all in all I give this hotel 10*s and plan to book here again the next time we plan to go to Massachusettes to visit our families also thi price can't be beat added with the service we got is "priceless"

If your looking for a place just to sleep its great for the price. Its a little worn down but the bed and pillows are very comfortable. You get what you pay for and I have slept in dumps and I have slept in mansions. I go to this area to visit a friend and I come late don't hang around and just use it to sleep and it is perfect for that purpose. The price is good for the area also. If your looking for a luxery vacation then you have to pull out the dollars because this are of the USA is expensive .

The hotel was not quite what I had expected; however not having ever stayed at a Days Inn property, I had no point of reference. The hotel had an odd odor throughout, and although the room was designated a non smoking room, it was apparent hat it had not been without smokers at some point in it's history. The bedspread looked clean, but smelled like a bedspread that could use a cleaning. It was obvious that the hotel housed local residents that for whatever reason had opted to or were unable to acquire conventional housing (i.e. apartments, etc.), and the energy of the hotel reflected this. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to requests. The bed was fairly comfortable, and I slept well. Knowing that there is a Holiday Inn Express and a Fairfield Marriott in the area, I will most likely stay at one of those properties on my next trip to the area, even though the rates are 35% to 40% higher than the Days Inn.

The room rates were low, and when we stayed there, we knew why. No vending machines worked. The fitness center was closed. The rooms smelled bad. There were men in the hallways stopping around to look at young women and making my companions feel uneasy. The rooms were not clean. I was extremely disappointed by the poor quality of this experience. Since I booked it at hotels.com, I would certainly suggest that you take this off your list. I'd also like the contact information for management of the chain to complain about this hotel.

OMG all I can say is - please spend the extra $20 to stay at the Holiday Inn or Fairfield Inn up the street. This hotel is filthy, the service is deplorable and the police cruisers are here all night. Hotels.com should not be sponsoring this hotel and the AAA rating shows how little AAA ratings mean these days.

I was actually a little worried after reading a couple reviews on this site but really the stay was not bad, I was there for two nights, my room was clean, it had a weird hotel smell but for the price it was not bad at all.

The convenience of the hotel was a good thing. unfortunately for a non-smoking room it smelled of smoke. The bath towels were not very good. The staff were fine, but you need longer hours for the breakfast on the weekends.

This hotel was disgusting, the love seat was ripped and heavely soiled. I would not even put my feet on the floor. This hotel is a disgrace to your name. There was people living in the hotel weekly. Kids where leaving to get on the bus. They even questioned me and looked at me in the breakfast room like I did not belong there. The lady taken care of the breakfast area questioned me as to when I checked in, I think they thought I walked in for a free breakfast. I would never recommend this property to anyone. I felt very unsafe and room was disgusting.

This Motel, was not good it smelled, and was very damp and did not feel comfortable. We went to another Hotel.

absolutely the worst hotel I have stayed in! I've stayed in many Days Inn over the years and never was disappointed but this place looks like no one has kept it up! Needs tender loving care inside and out!

The price and location were just right for stopping overnight before getting to the ferry on the cape, and the guy at the front desk was very accomodating, especially since we arrived after midnight. However, our bathroom was kind of dingy, the room smelled musky, and the bed was slightly uncomfortable. It was decent enough for a six hour stop-over though.

This place has been declining in quality for the past 5-7 years that I've stayed there, but my most recent stay WILL BE MY LAST. Here's some examples of why: 1) Front desk staff put me in a room that was already occupied and didn't realize her mistake until we BOTH showed up at the front desk to complain. 2) Dirtly hotel linens (sheets and blankets) piled in front of the room next to me for greater than 24 hours. Inexcusable. 3) Trash overflowing from several interior receptacles all weekend. Just gross. 4) The fast-food restaurant next door is apparently the preferred hangout for all the teenagers your mother warned you about. I was worried for my car's security. 5) Room keys were temperamental and often required feats of gymnastics to get the door open. Ridiculous. 6) The remote for the TV was inoperable. The desk clerk - who left the front desk unattended to assist me told me that it was not batteries (but gave me some anyway) but a problem with the cable provider. Her solution involved taping a wire to the front of the TV. The wire fell off repeatedly, making channel surfing less than entertaining. 7) The hair dryers and irons have been removed from the rooms as they break and not replaced. 8) I can't THINK of the last place where I had to pay for wireless, but $5 a day? Why bother? 9) The overall maintenance of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. I know - it's a budget hotel and offers a low rate. But - maintaining general appearances - like trimming the landscaping every few years, fixing tears and missing wallpaper, fixing broken screens and windows, goes a long way to improving the general pleasantness of the property. Not just painting rooms an obnoxious color - that qualifies as 'lipstick on a pig' in my book. Given that there are several new(er) hotels in the area who offer competitive rates I just don't understand why this place has turned into such a dump in the last 2 years, especially when consumers are looking for an inexpensive alternative to lod
