Holiday Inn Express Chicago-Magnificent Mile - שיקגו

It is a very tiny, old hotel that they have tried to make into a boutique-style accommodations. Despite a fairly recent renovation, the furnishings and fixtures are already showing a lot of wear, making everything just feel sort of dirty and cheap.

Nothing fancy, but clean and with very good location, close to all "tourist musts" and good restaurants

This hotel is in a great spot for walking to many local attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. They even helped us get a discount on an architectural river/lake tour. The rooms are very small, but if you're just staying for a couple of days, it shouldn't be a problem.

It was short and good. I suggest to add vegetables to Breakfast.

I love the hotel, the staff was super friendly and my room was wonderful. The only problem I had was some noise problem. my room is right beside the gym, and two times during my stay, someone turned on the TV in the gym super super loud at 5:30 am which woke me up. I did not bother telling the hotel staff, but otherwise it was great.

We were there for one night as part of a roadtrip. We had a great time. Check in was easy and fast. We were able to walk to the locations we wanted to see. Only disappointment was the unexpected payment for parking at the hotel, which was expensive.

I've stayed in A LOT of hotels in River North. I commute to Chicago every other week. This is by far and away the worst accommodation for the price in the area. Worn carpet. Old fixtures. And a sagging mattress. I wouldn't stay here for free. Nothing bad happened - in fact the staff couldn't have been nicer. This is simply a hotel in desperate need of a renovation and it's time for it's owners to invest in their property. For the money, there are much better options.

the room is a closet its the smallest room EVER ,.......it is almost as small as the W on Michigan Ave rediculous

Overall experience was great, smooth check-in, above average service and friendly people!

Hotel was attractive and well maintained but my room was pretty tiny. The staff was helpful. I was travelling with a baby and they suggested they could provide a crib and fridge. There was a lot of variety at the breakfast bar but some of food was very processed. Avoid the eggs. Great location.

It was strange for a hotel in a big city to have absolutely no room for your kit in the bathroom and to have a chest of drawers in the closet so you couldn't really hang anything there longer than a jacket. Granted it is an old hotel with small rooms, but I was there for six nights and had to use the ironing board to put my suitcase as there was no other space. Internet was good, breakfast was good, service very good, location was good, bed was good, but a little more thought should have been put into the bathroom and how to use the space better.

Very nice boutique hotel but very small room - queen bed took up entire space- had to move luggage around in order to enter bathroom. Hotel hard to find since giant marquee says Hotel Cass while Holiday Inn sign is very small and under front door overhang. Would not stay there again. Staff was very courteous.

I guess you could say I'm a country girl. We booked this room because we wanted to be in the heart of one of the best areas to walk around. When I walked into my room, I literally took a step back because I instantly felt claustrophobic. After being irritated for a moment, my husband and I laughed because it reminded us of the Griswold Family Vacation to Europe. It's that small! Location was great, parking was expensive, closet door was broken, breakfast was yummy and had a good variety.

Good service, good breakfast, comfortable bed, but not sure what the designers were thinking. A closet with a tiny chest in it so you couldn't really hang anything in it. A huge sink in the bath with no counter space for your kit. Do these designers never actually stay in a hotel? No suitcase rack so I had to use the ironing board or else leave it on the floor, for six nights! Housekeeping indifferent, left the shower facing out so it hit me in the face one time, left the lights on and turned the ac off another so the room was hot when I got back. I expect more of a HI Express.

This room was super small, no room for anything, free breakfast was good and customer service is good

The stay was awesome. The people was very courtieous to us. We had never to chicago before so they were very nice in telling us how to get around. Vallet parking was awesome as well.The room was great just a little small but it worked. Thanks for everything

The area is nice, if you don't plan to be their more than 1-2 nights or spend anymore more time than just sleep in your room then this hotel is for you, it's over priced the rooms are super small and the sheets where dirty!! Very disappointed

Overall it was a positive experience, however our room was very small and the bathroom had a constant odor of urine. This was reported and the cleaning people made an extra effort, however this had little effect. The staff was friendly with great service .

The rooms were clean, mine was a little old. I saw that done rooms are currently being renovated. Rooms are quite small, but the great location makes up for it. The staff was quite courteous, and the continental breakfast is a huge plus.

I travel A LOT and my rule of thumb is you get what you pay for! So I decided to take my 13 year old to Chicago for one night but had recently just been to 3 states in one week so it was a last minute thing and all the hotels in a good location were ridiculously expensive so I chanced it and booked the holiday inn express ($129). When I got there the staff was amazing they let us check in early, the rooms were spotless and they were in the most perfect location! This is my 4th time to Chicago and I can honestly say that I will never stay anywhere else!!!

Great location! The rooms are not large, but they are well laid out. We did have a bit of trouble with the motion-sensitive temperature control. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Special thanks to our housekeeper Bianca for her excellent service!

Rooms where so small and over priced for the size but all in all not to bad

the hotel was close to the main street and a lot of choices for food but the rooms were extremely uncomfortable and small. I would pay a little more next time and stay somewhere more comfortable where i have space to put my luggage and move. the room was on the 9th floor and it was extremely loud from the city.

Tiny, tiny room, impossible to keep warm, even with the thermostat set at max (80 degrees). Location near hospital was perfect for me. breakfast excellent. Room impossible for two people.

Our stay at the hotel ws great, staff is friendly and hotel is clean. It is real close to shopping area and no need to take a cab. We took the bus to navy pier. Our room was very small but clean and all necessities were in it. This was my second stay at the hotel and I will definitely return on my next trip to Chicago.

Nice updated historic hotel close to everything. Friendly & Helpful staff. Good breakfast to start a day of sightseeing. Tiny rooms - OK if you are sleeping and not spending a lot of time in the room.

Great service. Rooms were perfect just for sleeping. Not a lot of extra space, but enough. Walls were pretty thin. Great location in the city. Would choose to stay there again.

The staff at the hotel was great! They helped us navigate the surrounding area and even gave us coupons for some bars nearby. The room was smaller than expected but worked just fine for the few nights we stayed. The hotel location is great. Close to shopping, downtown attractions and subway. Overall, this hotel is a good value for downtown Chicago.

Convenient location from Red line, easy walk to Northwestern Hospital. Countless options for restaurants and shopping close by.

This is a great location for shopping, restuarants, theatre, etc... The rooms are small because this is an historic hotel that Holiday Inn bought and renovated. The overall value is great.

Cosy and charming, european-style as regards the size of the rooms. Excellent breakfast and helpful staff.

Just about everything was great excpet the bed was a tad bit smaller than a normal queen. So it made sleeping a little harder with my feet dangling off the bed.

Friendly staff, good American-style casual buffet breakfast, superb value for money, 3 mins to mag mile. Perfect for a short stay. Only negative- not much clothes storage, especially if there's 2+ to a room.

Small room but room is just for sleep and the area was nice and parking close and the price for the room and parking were some of the best of down town.

Small rooms but great price, service, location, food, etc! I even extended my trip because the hotel was so great!

For a Holiday Inn Express the hotel accomodations were not what I expected. while clean and neat, the room was extremely small and compact. The facility was well maintained for an older building. I just expected for the money to be more like other Holiday inn express rooms,. roomy and comfortable. I felt the cost was a lot higher than what I have paid at other locations for same hotel and with a lot less room.
