I recently booked a room online and received confirmation. It was important to me to have a king size bed and frig in room. To my disappointment I checked in and couldnt use my aaa discount and then when I entered my room...it was two queen beds with no frig. I went downstairs to request the room I had paid for and was told ... sorry we overbooked. I said I had booked based on having a frig and king bed. She checked to see if they could bring in a frig hut jone were working. She did nothing further to resolve other than apology. Thats nice but I didnt get what I wanted. Or even my discount. Never again.

Everything was very nice and clean, and only a few min utes from Galveston.

Our stay was great. Its the perfect spot between Houston and Galveston. The rooms were comfy. The indoor pool was a plus for the kids. The continental breakfast was also good. The only thing is go before 9 am because you will not have enough seats in the dining area. Maybe because it was spring break a lot more people there. I would stay at this hotel again.

Left the room at 1100am, returned at 930pm to find room had not been cleaned, dirty towels still piled up on floor from the night before, one trash can had been emptied the other one was still full, linens not changed/beds not made. This was the last thing we needed after a long day in the sun. Apparently housekeeping claimed that we had placed a do not disturb sign on the door and so they didnt enter the room. If that's the case, who emptied the trash? Called the front desk, general manager Anand D. was very rude, yelling at me that he trusts his housekeepers and that I needed to get out of the way so he could help other customers, after he threatened to throw 2 women with 3 small children out in the middle of the night. I then called the corporate office. They reassured us that no one was getting thrown out and to call the police if he tried. They spoke with him and said he would apologize and he told them he was under a lot of stress and would bring us towels and linen and a walmart gift card. Stressed or not that was VERY unprofessional. I will say the ladies that handle the breakfast area were awesome, the selection was great. Thanks to Christine at the corporate office for her help and also the front desk manager Cherye who helped us check out, she was very nice. Maybe it's just the one guy Anand and certain untrustworthy housekeepers that are bringing this place down. We will never go back.

It was a over priced hotel. I will never stay there again. The pool was so small and the hot tub was not working. The door to enter the hotel is small and still manually operated. If you hands are full then its quite a pain to put things down and then open the door to enter. The housekeeping staff is more loud than any guests. The breakfast area is small and not enough to seat even 25 people.... So god help you if you land here on a busy time. I am never going back there again with my family....

Very clean hotel ! From the clerks to the housekeeping crew all were very friendly and cordial ! Will be visiting again . Price was also reasonable.

This is a very nice hotel for the area. Convenient access to the interstate and some very good restaurants nearby. The elevators need a little maintenance but nothing major. I'd recommend staying here if you're in the area.

Close to family

The motel desk staff was very nice and made sure the stay was comfortable. The maid service lacked, bed was not made everyday and bathroom was not resupplied with soap and tissue products.

the staff were overly helpful and willing to help or assist. Room was nice and clean; hallways were very hot compared to rooms and outside temp.

Excellent, nice and quiet. Breakfast was very good. The elevator sounds still make you nervous a bit. Was like that last year when we stayed there.

The beds were too soft. The T.V, did not work, moved to another room and only got 2 channels on that one. We were booked for 5 or 6 days and checked out after 2 nights.

Great staff, very helpful

My husband and I took our niece and nephew to Texas with us for a family reunion. We chose the Hampton Inn because of the indoor pool/hot tub and hot breakfast. We were surprised to find freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and hot coffee at the customer service desk. Our beds were luxurious and the overall feel was comfortable. Great location, especially since the new Taenger outlet mall has opened. Ryan's buffet was a short walk over as well. My 8 year old nephew said "This hotel just gets better and better!" Will be back!!!

Room was great. Service and food great. The mall in back is mostly vacant with young punks running around inside so avoid that.

Cherie, desk clerk, welcomed us with a smile. We were there for a funeral, she sent a sympathy card up to our room. She gets 5+ stars for personal service!

This is an older hotel. Everything was good. Quiet.

Wish the elevator wasnt so slow! Other than that perfect.

We stayed for the weekend. The staff was very friendly. Only complain is that they did not come and clean our room. Would go back to this hotel thou

Bad two rooms on check in. both Hampton and hotel.com fix the rest of the stay. However the worst experience I had ever had. We complained that the breakfast was stale, the hotel felt run down, the area was near to dead shopping malls. I wouldn't suggest staying there. I had so many good stays with Hampton Inns. This one really let me down.

My overall stay was pretty good. The only downfall was the room did not have a microwave nor refrigerator. Yet, the room description stated differently when booking. These 2 amenities are my must haves. I seemed to have adapted without them. I personally prefer the convenience of having the opportunity to warm up my food in my room if needed vs going downstairs. Other than that, my stay was comfortable.

We stayed there only one night but our stay was so great I wished it was our 1 wk vacation. We had never stayed at a Hapton Inn before, but It'll definately be one of our first choices of hotels next time we vacation anywhere. Plus for the price it was definately two thumbs up. Plus the bed was so comfortable I woke up pain free for once. PS Hot breakfast was great but pretty busy, but the attendant offered us a tray and we went back to our room.

The entire staff was most accommodating to all of our needs!

My son and I often stay in hotels just for fun. It's a mini-vacation for both of us and a chance to go swimming. I gave the Hampton Inn top marks because the pool was clean, it stayed open until midnight!!!, the hot tub was a comfortable and therapeutic temperature, and they had towels available. We were allowed to have pool floats and beverages (no glass) in the pool area- not a common courtesy in many hotels. I especially liked the fact that the pool was open later than most other hotel pools. That gave us extra time to swim and exercise. Like all Hampton Inn Hotels, the beds/bedding was very comfortable and clean. I like that they provide ample amenities like shampoo, lotion, personal care kit, mouthwash. It's the little things that make a guest feel welcomed. Breakfast was plentiful and well-organized thanks to the staff member taking care of the dining area. Texas-shaped waffles are always a big hit with my son and this waffle maker was in good working order. I would definitely stay here again.

The AC needs to be checked. The weather was wet outside and inside of the room felt damp. The AC was not removing the dampness or cooling at 68 degrees.

It was very noticeable how we were not equally treated at the front desk by an african American female all other employes were nice and very polite. Brakefast was good

We wanted a quick beach getaway to Galveston, but the hotel prices and availability were not a match for us. So, we went a little farther north and booked the Hampton Inn in Texas City. Great, newish hotel. OUTSTANDING FRONT DESK. They helped us several times, and even went to far as to dry our wet swimsuits and towels from our day at the beach in Galveston. Be sure to look at the Hampton Inn website for room descriptions before you book. Hotels.com says that there are mini refrigerators in the rooms - not so. Only a few of the king suites have them. Also, the mall that is touted to be nearby is deserted except for the movie theatre. Anyway, nice breakfast was included. It's about 20 minutes from the beach. Close enough for us. We will definitely stay here again.

Very pleased with this hotel. Very clean, well maintained and comfortable. Good service and staff go out of their way to help. I'll definitely come back again. The breakfast bar had lots of good options,including healthy food choices andTexas shaped waffles. The fitness room was the best I've seen in any hotel and had good quality machines and a good variety of other equipment.

I thought this place was really nice. Not too far from the beach. Excellent customer service and ammenities. We really liked the Texas waffle maker.

I really liked the hotel itself. The room was great and bed was comfortable. However the sheets on the bed were like a size too small so the bottom sheet was never staying in place. Par t of the reason I picked this hotel was it mentioned a free hot breakfast butfet. However it was my own fault not to verify that hot buffet meant more than eggs. It still had all the continental stuff but the only hot item was eggs.

I was expecting better. The bed was great and what I've come to expect from a Hampton but other than that I might as well have been at Quality Inn and saved some money.

Breakfast was inadequate for the number of guests. Night desk manager was excellant as our choice of room was not available upon check-in.

Your info said the room came with a refridgerator. that wasn't true. it also said ther was an"on site" laundry. that wasn't true either. there was a laundry service. that's different than an on site laundry. i feel you misrepresented the hotels features.

I don't have any real complaints about our stay, the staff was great, we had a neighbor with roudy loud kids, and they seemed to have taken care of that rather quickly. The staff always greeted us by name as we walked in the front door. The pool was down for maintenance for 1 day during our stay, the hot tub was down the whole week, I wish it would have been working, I could have used it for sure. I wish that they would add a mini-fridge and microwave to the rooms, or make rooms that this would be an available option, since we were eating out all week, it would have been nice to be able to bring the leftovers back to our room. I would stay here again if we return for vacation again, it is very convenient to go to Houston, Galveston, Kemah, etc.

The staff and manager are rude. Hotel pictures online don't show what it really looks like. My room was dirty when I checked in. My room never got cleaned the entire time I was there. The pool was closed due to filth. Not a good experience

would stay again, however the rooms do not have a fridge or microwave
