The hotel location is very center, closed to everything. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. I'm glad I have choosen the hotel as it's location is top in the list. The room is small. The air conditioner is very noisy. But overall we jave enjoyed it.

Went to medical education at Marriott. Abri was much nicer and with free internet. Short walk to conference and central location.

Close to union square and market street, but weird homeless perple sleeping next to hotel, the room was convenient and the bathroom seed renewed. We were every day short of shampoo and soap and toilet paper, had to ask ever day! Clean towels. Nice front desk staff.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Abri. The hotel is well maintained, the room was comfortable, though a little bit small, and conveniently located. The train (bart) from/to SFO airport is located a block away. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Hotel was quiet (no partying, no noise). I recommend it.

Nice and clean with a modern vibe, but the rooms were really tiny.

The room has a very eccentric feel, not the best views but a great setup nice tv comfy bed and fantastic service from hotel staff, the neighborhood is absolutely fine, there will be some interesting characters In the morning but none that were bothersome.

Good location if you want to be near Union Square. Room on inner court was quiet despite our stay during a weekend. Professional and friendly staff.

One negative: the hallway in certain areas smelled like cat litter. I think it must be pet-friendly. Our room did not have that smell though.

We had a great trip to San Francisco, topped off by the staff at Hotel Abri. Near Union Square,and Powell St Muni station, we found so many things to see and do. Wish we had stayed the entire weekend. Hotel Abri upgraded us to a suite, which was very comfortable....Thanks!!! See you next time

We had a great stay at the Hotel Abri. It is in a convenient location, the rooms were nice and fairly well updated. I was in S.F. for a conference and Hotel Abri was 1-2 blocks away. There were several great diners/restaurants in the area. One of the plugs didn't work, but maintenance was quick to repair it. The service was great in general. There was also a club across the street from our room and it was incredibly loud during the night. This isn't the hotels fault, but something to consider if you want to sleep well. Parking through the hotel is expensive and the car is parked in a lot about 6 blocks away. We found an alternate garage across the street that was less and more convenient.

very very small rooms. A lot of noise from the street as well as noise from other rooms and hallways. Couldn't ask for a better location and the staff were all excellent. Right in the middle of the shopping district and next to the tram terminal.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We rented a suite for 2 people. The bathroom door was a see-through glass so this did not work well for a business trip for 2 people. Also, the room and bathroom smelled horribly strong of the Subway sandwich shop next door. REALLY unpleasant smell. The shower had no pressure at all and bath products always needed to be requested to be re-stocked.

Hotel is in a great location relative to transit and shopping. Close to restaurants and other great amenities. The staff was great but the rooms were a little on the small side. Being downtown may be a bit much for families with young children after night fall.

The staff provided amazing suggestions, from wine tours to specific areas for my girlfriend and I to visit. The hotel is in a great location to get to different parts of the city, shopping is literally right around the corner, and there are tasty restaurants within walking distance.

Room was small compared to the king size bed and huge desk put into it. I could barely squeeze between bed and desk. Definitely not what they show you in pictures. TV went out twice and had to wait until morning for somebody to fix the problem both times. The hotel is in a great location. Half a block from cable car turnaround and 1 1/2 blocks from F bus that takes you to Fisherman's Wharf. We were there for World Baseball Classic and we took the 20 minute walk from hotel every night. Located in a trendy neighborhood with a club right across the street. Kept thing lively. Happy with stay, but not overly thrilled

We stayed one night at this hotel and it was very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Only negative was the parking issue. Had to pay an additional $40 for parking through the hotel, but then that seemed to be the issue across the entire city. San Francisco is definitely NOT a car friendly town!! Otherwise...room was clean, bed was comfortable, a nice stay overall.

The hotel is in a great location - just the parking situation could have been better. We did valet but had to circle the block to wait for a spot on the curb to open up to drop off our car. Everyone was super friendly & it's very close to everything!

The best part of staying here is its proximity to public transportation; SHORT walking distance to the F Line, Cable Cars, and BART; and its close to alot of shopping and restaurants. Check in was smooth, room was clean and ready, and we didn't experience any problems with the room whatsoever. Directv HD in the room, personal safe, fast wi-fi, and other amenities made the stay pleasurable. The area around the hotel is a little rough after dark, but again it is to be expected downtown. There was some street noise but again being downtown its to be expected. Will stay here the next time I'm in San Francisco.

The rooms are quite small and not designed well (i.e. the tv is not located in front of the bed, the closet doors and bathroom door open keep the other one from opening). Not ideal for dual occupancy at all. My expectations were not high at all for staff being peppy at 6:00 a.m, even with that being said, the lady at the front desk was far from pleasant and less than accommodating. The check in experience and service from the bell man were quite the opposite, they were fantastic.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Well run hotel at a fair price. In spite of street noise at night and cost of parking in this area of the city, this is an excellent choice, if you want to stay near Union Square.

The room was cramped, the bed was SO uncomfortable (still had neck and back pain two days after leaving), the surrounding area can be a little sketchy at night (which was to be expected). Ordered room service, called after an hour of not receiving it and it was clear they had never put the order in. I wish I had known better and stayed in a different neighborhood/hotel. It wasn't terrible but taking into consideration the quality of service, etc it was WAY overpriced.

Had a lovely time staying at the Hotel Abri. The hotel is in a perfect location - just off Union square, close to the trolley and the shops!

They couldn't find my Hotels.com reservation, but graciously worked through the missing info and offered an upgrade, without my requesting it.

Very poor shower water pressure; leaking right sink faucet handle when in use. Room with one tiny window opening on inside of building. No exercise room. But served its purpose as a comfortable place to sleep during a meeting, and problems above were not a huge deal to me.

Stayed with a friend for 5 nights. Enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again. Close to shopping and easy to take cable car and public transit around San Francisco. Hotel was clean, front desk staff were helpful in making recommendations. Upon initial check in was given a room on the second floor, and had to request a move. This is an old building, and subway restaurant ventilation on the ground floor and the hotel are connected. The room smelled like baking bread and chopped onions. Very strong odder! Subway is open till 3 am and bakes bread around the clock. Thankful we were immediately moved and new room on higher floor was fine.

Due to a work event that ran late into the night, I needed a place to crash for the night. My room was clean and the hotel was fine, but the neighborhood was a little scary after dark!

We stayed in the king deluxe room, and it was definitely a larger room than most hotels in SF, especially consider the age of the building. The room was very nicely renovated, and the TV includes many HBO channels!

Excellent, courteous , and friendlly staff. Very comfortable room.Well located, although can be a little bit of street noise given the popularity of that location.

Very good location, would certainly come back to this hotel. you are right next to the cable cars, the bart is right there. you could not ask for a better loacation. Would have been nice to be on a higher floor, but over all liked the hotel.

Excellent location. Just a block away from BART and Union Square. Nice downtown view and great restaurants close by.

This was a really nice hotel in the middle of everything in SF. It had everything I expect from a high-end hotel. The lobby was also very nice.

The hotel has a great location and urban vibe to it. The staff was great and attentive. Our TV didn't turn on and they were there within minutes to fix it., same result when I needed assistance unlocking the room safe. We walked to Dottie's for an AMAZING breakfast and felt a little unsafe navigating the homeless, but didn't encounter a problem. Bed was really comfy!!! We stayed in the Urban Suite, facing the interior "courtyard" so our room was really quiet, a nice respite from the hectic Union Square.

A great hotel option in the Union Square area. Extremely convenient to Bart and Powell Cable Car Turn Around (only a block up) so if you have lots of bags you don't have far to go. Lobby and staff were welcoming upon check-in in late evening which was completed in moments. I had a room on 5th floor with a king sized bed which was comfortable. I actually found the room a bit bigger than other Union Square hotels I have stayed in but be aware SF rooms are smaller than those found in most US cities. I did have a street facing view which was annoying when the club across the street got out at 2am and woke me up despite my earplugs. I should have taken the inside facing room when I was offered one at check-in. Overall, I really liked this property and would stay there again.

Nice room--comfy bed. TV was too small to enjoy while laying in bed, but overall, the hotel is a great find. Convenient location. Its trendy, boutique feel is complemented by a pleasant staff. Would stay there again.

When we arrived at the hotel we were given the option of a larger, noisier room on the street side or a smaller room looking opposite Ellis St. We picked the large, noisy one and boy was it tiny! Can't imagine what the small ones looks like. Parking is $40 + tax and it takes almost 1/2 for them to bring you the car. Internet is free but oh so sloooow.... There is a mini bar but it's empty. Room service stops at 10.
