Too many bad things to list again but the worst was that the room was never cleaned during our 3 night stay and we had to ask every day for clean towels.

The front desk clerk was rude, the spa was out of order and my room was stifling hot, for starters. Also, the TV remote control didn't work and the hotel is a maze. I had to go back and ask for a map because there is such poor directional signage, I couldn't find where my room was. Also, there's the little matter of all of the fire doors being propped open despite signs saying they should be kept closed because, yeah, they are fire doors.

Okay for the price hotel needs updating but clean room small . It served our purpose.

Good breakfast and location. I will stay here again.

1. Check in not pleasing. They asked for my credit card for incidentals. Normally I don't have a problem with it. But I asked what incidentals? The restaurant, and room service were not available. Then they said just in case I damage the room (yeah right). 2. Bathroom door hinges rusted. Had to force door to shut. 3. The entrance door to the room would not close behind you when you entered the room. I had to force that door closed as well. If you wanted to eat between 10am and 5pm you had to leave the hotel. When they did serve food the selection was poor. The bar is the only place you could order food.

The hotel towed my car costing me an additional $290 on top of my room fees, and refused to take any responsibility for it. I do not believe I was treated fairly in this situation.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is an older hotel that is in need of repairs. The A/C did not work in the exercise room and they did not have any milk available for the continental breakfast. We had to use half and half for our cereal. The rooms were clean, but small.

The room was fine with a comfortable bed and all the usual facilities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was reasonably priced. The only downside is that the hotel is in real need of refurbishment in all the publich areas.

Our stay wasn't worth the cost of it, frankly. The place had dirty hallways. The side doors were left opened several times with rocks, which did not make me feel safe. There were cobwebs in the stairwells and the carpets looked very old. I also thought I was trapped in the bathroom because the door was getting stuck locked. Believe me, you don't want to get trapped in a 4x4 bathroom. Overall, I wouldn't stay there again.

Was a dump. Indoor pool was green. Rooms and bathrooms small. Cobwebs in corners. Would NOT stay here ever again!!

I was very pleased with our stay at the Clarion!

The pluses: the breakfast was above average, the AC in the room worked well. The minuses: the quality of the furnishings, the layout of the hotel, the parking were not good. This is a place to stay at last resort, especially given their inflated rate.

It served our purpose of being an overnight stay prior to destination for a reasonable price with a nice breakfast. The room needed updated and likely would not be our choice for an extended stay.

I chose this hotel because it advertised wifi, a pool, a hot tub and an exercise room. No wifi for the first 2 days. Pool too warm and over chlorinated. Hot tub out of service until the night before we left. Exercise room had 2 treadmills, a recumbent bike and a stepper.

I loved the staff. they were great and worked really hard to make sure we were enjoying our stay. the hotel needs updates, but they were working hard every time i seen any staff , and you can tell they really were trying to make a good impression. the nice thing too is that it was very affordable, and for a quick weekend stay, its just what i needed. their breakfast bar is awesome, and they have a nice indoor pool area with surrounding areas to sit and relax. i will definately stay again when im in ann arbor.

Don't not recommend!! Outside of the hotel needs work . When we got to the hotel bunch of men hanging out in front of the hotel drinking alcohol. Our room was on the second floor close to the front entrance , we had to lug our belongings up the stairs to our room cause the only elevator they had was on the opposite end of the hotel. We got in our room the airconditioner wasn't working, they did move us to another room though!

Check in was fast and efficient, we arrived much later than we had anticipated and the check in guy was very quick and even told us how to park nearer our room so we wouldn't have to walk so far. Room was clean, king size bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice.

It was an ok hotel, but I reserved a King size bed however when I showed up they had rented out all the King rooms and gave me a room with doubles in it. When I asked they told me they couldn't do anything and I was out of luck. The staff didn't really care about anything I had to say about it. As for a stay and sleep..sure, but don't expect a good friendly helpful staff.

Dirty room, I needed to clean dust and dirt off bathroom counter. Heat did not work at all. Toilet ran intermittently and loudly all night long. All in all a very unrestful night in a loud dirty room.

When we arrived the power was going to be off for several hours. That was fine as it was not dark yet, and we did not need electric at that time. It came back on at 8pm. Next morning no hot water until around 11am, way to late for showers before some people had to check out! Made the choice to continue to stay there as it was the central location for why we went and everyone was staying there! The only thing that made it a good stay was the others that were staying at the hotel. Keys constantly needed to be recoded and having to make several trips to the front desk to get this done took way to much time! Breakfast was much better then I expected after reading reviews. Coffee in room was basically colored water.

Visiting our student at the University of Michigan and this hotel is not a family crowd. Very rough looking clientele and several 'ladies' that could pass for women of the night. Dirty dishes in back lobby left over from previous night and a large clothes dryer sitting in the middle of the lobby.

Just needed a place to stay for the night before the football game. Nice for the price. Shuttle took us to the stadium and back to hotel.

Very polite staff. Should think about opening resturant eariier. Comfortable beds. Room clean except the bathroom could have been cleaner. Wake up call on time. We would stay again.

This is the worst hotel in Ann Arbor I have ever stayed in. Many things were broken, the room temperature could not be controlled, the workout equipment mostly broken, the pool water was green, the hall carpets filthy, and on and on. This hotel needs a serious makeover. I would not stay here again.

Just make sure you check the room and like it. It has been hit or miss there. Last time we had a miss.

Aside from the rude concierge, we had booked a king room a month in advance and were told they had given all the rooms away. "Oh well", we were told. "They overbooked." Aside from a horrible start, our second morning we were awoken to screaming kids at 7 a.m. that were jumping and screaming in the pool. This was never tended to by adults or the hotel. The rooms surround the pool and you can hear everything. Awful.

I new that the rate was a good price but would have paid more for better service and hotel appearance.

I went to Ann Arbor to visit a friend so I knew I wouldn't be spending much time in the hotel. Really just needed a place to sleep. The Clarion employees were very nice and helpful. My biggest complaints are the stale smell of the room and the fact that you really can't open the curtains in your room b/c they open onto a hallway, not a window. I love sunlight but felt like a vampire. The location is really good for those who want easy access to UM. Literally, a 5 minute drive up the street.

The room was stuffy, the air bad and hot. The air conditioner did not work.
