We wanted to be near gaslamp district for shopping and dining convenience. This hotel is perfect. On top of that, the gym is beautiful - better than some health clubs. Lots of cold water available in cups, not bottles - better for the environment. And having Starbucks in the lobby was the icing on the cake. The hotel restaurant needs work - there was nothing plain or simple - we have some dietary restrictions. And a cafe or breakfast place in hotel would have been nice.

Incidentals are a bit high at this hotel. The rates were fairly good, but to have to pay for internet in your room? And parking is $28/day??? Really???

4 star convention/business hotel with exceptional service and amenities. Excellent staff.

I ended up staying both at the Marriott and the Hyatt next door. Both were great, but I liked my room at the Marriott better.

The hotel was wonderful and the service was excellent! A great location close to all kinds of activities and restaurants! I am definiently going to go back!

The hotel has everything you could need while away from home, plus the location and surrounding areas are beautiful and have tons to offer!

Stay at this place when i don't want to stay on my business partners yacht in the Marina. Perfect location! The beds and pillows are so comfy... I even ordered 4 pillows for myself!

Fantastic service and attention to detail. Clean comfortable room. Walking distance to many sites, attractions and eating establishments.

The hotel is situated in the absolute best location for restaurants , shopping and entertainment. The only thing we missed was that the hotel does not have a spa bc we were in the mood for a massage. Roy's Restaurant is located right on the water on the hotel grounds and dinner was 5 star fabulous!!!! We would definitely stay here again ( very cost effective).

Had a great time. The room we had was at the end of the north tower, with a balcony overlooking the pool area and a great view of the marina and bridge to Coronada. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful in the hotel. We did choose to eat a Roys and was disappointed in how noisy it was. The food was good but for the price have had much better. If you want a quiet dinner , this is not the place! Overall excellent time.

Everything was great for our family stay. Accommodating service throughout. Received large corner room with discount rate. Was glad on upper floor as trains going most of night and would have been annoying if lower down.

A great experience and a great location! Would stay again!

Love the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. Always wonderful service and accommodations.

I don't like bathroom design, but room it was very clean

This hotel was very comfortable. The most comfortable bed I ever had!! It was in a great location, walking distance to the Gas Lamp District and the Marlina. Once we parked the car (at $27.00/day) we never used it again. Great harbor views from room. This is the 3rd time we''ve stayed here!! Loved it!

This hotel is always going to be busy as it is close to a lot of major attractions, and commands a beautiful view of the harbor. My only complaint is to be warned the walls are paper thin. We heard some barnyard animal noises if you know what I mean in the room next door. For the dad of two young kids that is a little uncomfortable explaining. Front desk was very helpful with solving the problem to our situation.

The accommodations and location were perfect, both for the conference location and for the convenience of neighborhood shopping and dining.

This was a very good hotel, we could walk to gas-lamp and many other places, had a great room with balcony. Would like to go there again.

The hotel location was simply great!!!

The staff at this Marriott was amazing from the bell hops to the front counter staff. I will without a doubt stay here again

I paid for the proximity to the convention center. Location was great. Hotel was not new.

Our stay was fantastic! Hotel was close to everything and the Hotel had a great pool & bar area. Very restful & relaxing!

I have no complaints. My room was ready early & checkin was efficient. My room was large & overlooked the marina. It was clean & well maintained. The pool area had comfortable chairs, gas fire pits, & decent food/drinks. Best of all was the location: right on the water & next to the convention center (where I had to be every day). I would definitely return!!

A great hotel near the Gaslamp district, and right on the marina! Great view of San Diego bay and Coronado! Hotel was beautiful, the staff had a nice greeting, and were extremely helpful. We loved this hotel, and will be back!

This is a top notch hotel. It's also expensive, but I guess that's why it is top notch. Pool area is amazing. Food was great. Room was great. View was great. Service was great. They let me check in 5 hours early. I hope to come back to his hotel on a future trip.

Overall a pleasant and satisfying experience with nice amenities, a lovely tropical tiki area and Tina, one of the concierges, who just couldn't do enough for us. The one negative had to be the noise of sirens and trains that would float up to the 25th floor of the North Tower but it may just have been unusual circumstances and was more than made up for by the beautiful view out over the marina and Coronado Island.

We went to SD to attend the IRT gala, which went beautifully, but there was a Marine Corps event going on at the same time and they were incredibly loud, we even witnessed a fight. They deserve to have their fun, but the noise levels were high. Needless to say, we didn't get much rest at all.

The hotel itself was very nice. Great pool. The problem was the noise level. We faced the street and the trains/trolleys were extremely loud and kept waking us up all night. It might have been better if we were facing a different direction.

Excellent hotel and service

The hotel is convenient to the convention center and is within walking distance to many area attractions. The room and bathroom were much smaller than expected, but had a great view. The room itself seemed clean, but the towels were the dingiest I've seen in a major hotel. We had breakfast at the Marina Kitchen and ordered off the menu rather than opting for the buffet. The service was slow, the wait for the food was inexcusably long, and the quality of the food was poor. If I were to return to San Diego, I would probably try one of the other equally convenient hotels.
