Hotel Indigo Ottawa Downtown City Centre - אוטווה

The room was by far the most clean of all the hotels we have stayed at in Ottawa - we have stayed at several over the past few years - and the most modern, however, not the most comfy! There was a ridiculously wide gap between the headboard and the rest of the bed and the pillows were partly falling in causing an uncomfortable sleep. The hotel was operating a single elevator (although I can't really blame them - the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) across Ontario went on strike last week so .. ) which meant we had to wait over 15 minutes for a lift. Also, the parking elevator was separate from the building and shared with another hotel, we had to drag our bags, a stroller and a two years old child across two sets of stairs before we got to the main elevator on the other side then a few more steps up before we got to the room .. and this is a relatively small hotel so it wasn't the distance rather the uneasy path. The parking is at the 3rd floor under the building with a one-way passage that allows only one vehicle at a time, extremely narrow, you'll need to be a good driver if you have a big car! And the hotel has no view .. seriously, no view. For these reasons I'd say it's nice to have a clean place to stay at and I enjoyed that but it was extremely over-priced because of the other reasons.

Rooms for queen bed are small. The palce has a great location. We stayed several nights and enjoyed the free WiFi, which as as service is now standard. No movie channels and the parking is in another hotel, at the lowest level and with very tight access rounding the corners in a SUV.

We were there for a quick overnight stay and this was perfect.

You don't need to open the door to hear the conversation outside but you need to be reasonably small to use the bathroom and toilets and travel with very small luggage as everything is squized in.

Let's put it this way, I will never go back.

Friendly staff, great location. Within walking distance to art museum, Canadian Mint, Byward Market, Rideau Canal, Parliament Hill and lots of shops. Great food and pubs nearby. Only downside was having parking garage located two blocks from hotel due to construction.

Loved the hotel! Very clean, up to date, wonderful rooms. A 5 minute walk to Parliament buildings and about a ten minute walk to the Byward market, Art Gallery and Royal Cad Mint.

The room was not soundproof.

A very pretty little boutique hotel - exceptionally clean and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. I had the best few nights sleep that I can remember. But... yes, there's a but... I wasn't advised that the parking garage was under construction/renovation and I had to park 3 blocks awa - I was not impressed.

We stayed friday and saturday, there were some hiccups with the room, but the staff accomodated us and switched the room twice, due to 1 not the right bed that we had booked and 2 the room smelled of cogarette smoke. The restaurant was azing very tasty foods without being too heavy. The only issue we had was the parking being under construction so we had to pay to park 3 blocks away.

The hotel is nice. The rooms are spacious and decor is funky. No carpet on the floors which I really like. The bed was a bit springy though. No pillow top or foam-old style mattress. Still comfortable but different. The location was great.

Really good hotel, however they really need to do something about their towels - awfully hard and scratchy.

All was great about the hotel except that they were renovating their parking lot and I had to park about 4 long blocks away. Once this is fixed, I am sure that it will be much better.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean. The location is fabulous, central and within walking distance to many major attractions, and a short walk to buses for farther destinations. Reports of noise in the atrium seemed exaggerated to me, as it only got noisy after 9:30 am and I'm not convinced it would have been enough to wake me -- there were no disruptions of any kind while I tried to sleep. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a Nice hotel, close to the Rideau Canal- We went ice skating. It is a bit noisy - you hear everything coming from the corridor. Otherwise, staff was nice - spoke French, very helpful. We felt very welcome with our son. Nice pool. Wifi in room. We went to Town. Restaurant 10 minutes walk. Very very good.

Excellent location, perfect for our Winterlude stay. Walked to all the attractions and the staff was very helpful. Clean and well appointed room.

First room given to me was an interior looking onto the atrium (--7,--8, --9 on most floors). These are a little larger, but after working about two hours in there with no real light and no fresh air I felt like I was incarcerated and asked for a change. They did by 2:00, and I returned from leisurely lunch to find they had moved my luggage to 603 already. Quiet rooms. Decent amenities - Aveda soaps, shampoos. Tons of lunch and coffee places in the area - food court 2 blocks north. G&M in the morning. Decent gym and pool. For business - no nonsense, professional place.

The room was small but pretty, its well located and the personnel at the desk were very nice. The main problem was that the walls are thin as paper: we could hear the person in the next room sneeze and everyone around closing their door, and the beds were not very confortable. It would have made an ok 3*, but no way it's a 4. And last thing: in every hotel you get a complementary bottle of water, but at this hotel they charge you 4$ for it... I mean come on ! I will not stay there again.

Parking is too difficult and Parking charges extra as it was mentioned free during the booking time by Hotels.com staff.

It was a Good stay,you `ll get what you`re paying for.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occassions.....I really enjoy staying here...I found my room this time to be really small and cramped Alison

Great just needs upgrade on the beds!

The hotel is centrally located in the downtown staff are extremely friendly ,be advised parking is a little tricky to get into but it is nice to have. Also if your looking for something to do after 6 take the ten minute walk to the byward market area as most things in this Area are closed after 6 with the exception of a few pubs

Great location,cozy room. But pool and change room is really in a poor condition. Sauna is not working properly,was freezing,showers are old and did not looked clean. Really disappointed,because I choose that hotel considering pool and gym availability .Staff at the front desk was hardly friendly on the first day of my arrival,did not make me welcome,

Very odd, there were no hair dryers....I had to go to a wedding that day!!! Otherwise room was good.

A great hotel, with courteous staff. Would like to see a bit more variety in available food, but the offerings were very good. Excellent location for city center sightseeing. Wireless is now available in rooms and worked well.

we had a very enjoyable time. found the pool water too cold. staff was very accommadating.

and you probably will have to add even if you ordered with breakfast.

The hotel was very well situated down-town. Close to all the museums and restaurants a short walk away! This place is definitely worth recommanding. Staff is nice and helpfull and rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Overall a very nice stay!

I was disappointed in the exercise facilities.

stay was excellent. My only concern is that parking is not convenient and costly

Wonderful, clean and modern. Loved the boutique feel of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel when we came to Ottawa for a short visit. The service was amazing and the staff was knowledgeable and super friendly. Overall a really great experience

LOVED your comforters very cosy - Hotel was spotless and felt like we were at the beach - very fresh and lively - Staff was a tremendous help with directions. Rates were perfect - Appreciated the close walk to coffee shops as well - Indigo will be our hotel of choice for the next 4 years for my sons education at Carleton University

Our room was very nice, but we booked for a King size bed and got a Queen. Our room was on the 2nd floor so street level noise was an issue.

Stop in 15 min. parking zone on front of Hotel and get directions to the Hotel Parking from the Front Desk. The parking is shared with the adjacent Marriott.

It was alright. Rooms are very small. Couldn't get the air conditioning to regulate. The food at breakfast was not good. But aside the hotel was okay. I don't think I would go back.

The Hotel looks good and it is on a great location. At arrival a young man that seamed to be a manager was rude at reception and kept saying my VISA card wouldn't go through when I had just used it 10 minutes before. As I asked to call VISA he facked a move on the computer and said it finally went trough. He then gave me bad instruction to arrive to the Parking lot and was really annoyed. I've never had such a bad reception. As I asked for my Breakfast voucher he didn't give it to me. On the next day after insisting that I reserved at Hotels.com with breakfast I was finally given a vaucher. After breakfast I had to pay $13 difference between the paid breakfast and the bill. I wil never stay at this Hotel again and I will never make another reservation with breakfast. The bed was comfortable but you pay 5star price for a 3star

The best hotel on this Canadian vacation. Loved it! And the friendliest and most helpful staff ever! Would stay there again in a minute.

Great location, clean, clever. Similar to NYC in terms of space at this price point - except parking was easy. Service is phenomenally good and knowledgeable.
