Lago Mar Resort Hotel And Club - פורט לודרדייל

This was the 1st leg of our family vacation and so happy to have found this GREAT family friendly resort!! We stayed in an executive suite overlooking the pool. It was designed perfectly for families with young children. The beds were so comfortable and plush. Our kids loved the playground, lagoon style pool, putt-putt and of course the large chess game. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and the service everywhere we went was friendly and accomodating. We will definitely be back!!!

The hotel room was great. I was expecting a 1 room hotel and it was a 4 room suite. I would definetly stay there again.

Lago Mar resort is well maintained, beautiful rooms & location . Service was excellant.

We spent there one night after a cruise and we loved it. I don't remember what room category I booked but we definitely got a lot for our money, a huge room with living space and a good size balcony overlooking pool area and partly the beach. Room and public area was very clean and nice furniture on the balcony. The pool was amazing and since the resort is right on the beach front we had an extended walk along the beach. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They have restaurants and bars onsite you can avail from however we took a short taxi ride to the Galeria shopping centre. The location is very convenient if you have to go to either Port Everglades or FLL Airport. We could have stayed there easily a week, gorgeous place really. We also have appreciated the free laundry facilities before heading further to Miami South Beach for a week. I strongly recommend this place.

Spent 2 nights before flying back home. Would have loved to stay longer. Beautifully appointed room and bath. Private balcony with chairs and table. Two pools with a bar and food and flat screen tvs in a round type Tiki hut. Large children's play area. Hammocks. Many outdoor games. Had breakfast and lunch on the outdoor patio and the food was very good. Reasonably priced. Fitness room. Spa. All this plus a private beach right on the ocean! And free parking!

The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, great pools and room was a nice size! I would definetly go back!

It was great, very nice resort and close to the festival we were going to.

Oceanfront rooms are not really oceanfront. There are pavilions, tennis courts, restaurants in the way. The other parts of the hotel are decent, however they stick you away from the club owners staring at the tennis courts instead of the ocean. No ice machines, you have to call for someone to deliver. Bring your own beverages and ice. Amenities like the pools and ocean access were good. Dinner was good at the poolside restaurant, however was $90 for 2. Would not go back for $500 a night. It's more like a motel than a resort.

Lago Mar is a very pretty little resort in near proximity to where the Ft Lauderdale cruise ships depart. The hotel common areas try to mimic grand hotels like the Breakers and does a nice job on a smaller scale. There are two nice pools in the front courtyard area that leads down to an expansive beach. There is a coffee shop/market and boutique on site as well as a full service restaurant, beach/pool bar and bar near the restaurant that opens at 5 nightly. Coffee is available each morning until 8am in this bar area. Our room was spacious and very private---one bedroom, living room with pull-out, 2 baths, and microwave and mini-fridge. On a whole the hotel was very nice, but pricey compared to other hotels in the area. However, I don't think I would really call it a "resort", just a nice hotel with amenities you pay separately for. Umbrellas and chairs were not provided---at $25 a day for shaded seating I would think a "resort" would include this. Group activities in the pool (zumba, water arobics, etc) all had a $15 fee to participate. No money could be used in the restaurant, coffee shop or market (you sign for everything) and a mandatory 18% fee was attached to everything---including purchasing a bag of chips in the market! There is no drink service on the beach, something I would expect a resort to have. All in all a nice place to spend a few days but with few amenities included.

Outstanding and upgraded room. Really first class. Hotel has the best / biggest beach in FL. Some of the common areas need a facelift, but overall an excellent place.

Our stay was fantastic! The room was large, comfortable and well appointed. We had a view of the ocean and the sunset was beautiful. The location is a must, right along the ocean and a short walk down you can send of the cruise ships with a wave. This is a family destination, but also a great couples retreat. You make the choice.

room was clean, beds only moderately comfortable-ours seemed to bowed to the middle. bathroom very clean but small-toilet and shower in same room with privacy door so others could use the sink while someone was showering or using the toilet. balcony overlooking pool and ocean very large and comfortable with two sitting chairs a lounge chair and a cocktail table. mini kitchen very nice and handy-mini fridge, microwave, place settings, corkscrew/bottle opener coffee maker. living area large and comfortable with a four place round table. two tvs one in bedroom one in living room. nice overall experience....

Beautiful property, the staff was fantastic.

I'd return. The staff is great and try their very best to make everyone happy. it's a good vibe. The little things in the hotel can be easy overlooked. From Eric the manager to the people at the restaurant buffet; they're all lovely and try hard to please the guest. They are also pleasant with each other. I think it's a winner.

Nice facility. Great location...a bit off the beaten path, but safe. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Only downside was I thought the food (dinner) was mediocre, but plenty of excellent restaurants in area (by car). Would definitely stay again.

Staff was so accommodating and friendly, we loved it!

I chose this hotel as an overnight stay after a family cruise vacation. Was extremely happy with every aspect of the resort. Staff was amazing! Rooms were well appointed, clean and comfortable. My husband commented that he would like to return in the future to enjoy a longer stay.

The service was impecable and the hotel lobby is lovely. It is a private, quiet resort with all the amenities, including access to a fairly secluded beach. Our room was drab, but my husband reminded me that is normal for a beach resort due to anticipated sand, etc. Unfortunately, it is a taxicab ride away from the nearest water taxi stop (and no one seemed to know exactly where that was), and a taxicab ride from town.

Fantastic mosaic as you enter the hotel, lovely roomswith comfortable matresses and pleanty of space,warm friendly staff, just couldn't do enough for you, twopools,wateraroebics class, great beach, playground with hammocks for the parents, plm linedwlkway to the beach,would make a great destination wedding site! food was great, very closeto cruise ships and airport.

Room 306 Rooms are large & spacious. Food in the main dining room is fantastic. Is now our goto place for sailings in & out of Ft Lauderdale. Pier is 5 minutes away. Airport is 15-20 minutes away. Private, large, beach. Great staff. Free Internet.

I was delighted from the first moment to the last. The location is right on the beach with a wonderful restaurant by the pool. The service was outstanding: friendly and personable. The room was luxurious and perfectly clean and had a beautiful view of the pools with the ocean beyond. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, and far away from the usual tourist crowds. I can't wait to get back there again.

It is a lovely hotel with all the comforts of a private club with modern amenities. I felt like we were in the Caribbean with traditional grace and hospitality of years gone by. We just got home and will reserve our rooms for next year this week.

Very friendly staff-- they are all incredible! Beautiful beach, great activities, very family friendly. Will definitely be back!!

Couldn't ask for more for the price!!

Overall okay. Had a bathtub that didn't drain well but was fixed quickly after it was reported. Staff was a pleasant, however there was a not very friendly lady to check me in. The room was beautifully appointed. The beach was kept very clean. The pool was very clean.

I had called ahead and they said they could accommodate vegetarians. When I got there, their vegetarian "meal" consisted of vegetables on a plate. I was told I they could make me a green smoothie, and when I got there, they would not do this. For a vegan like myself, this was very difficult.

excellent hotel...a heaven in fort lauderdale....away from the crowds and very near of everything.A place to go with family and kids or for couples...Nice food, nice beach,nice sorroundings and cheap.

The hotel was very nice, having a private beach was a plus. Rooms were tastefully done and very clean.

Amazing hotel with friendly staff and beautiful amentities

Very nice hotel a little old but very well kept and very clean. Really good location right on the beach and near the ferry port where the cruise ships come in and out so great location. The only one annoying thing was children were still in the pool after dark which was a little annoying when you just wanted to sit on your balcony and have a quiet drink. We took a river boat trip around the waterways of Fort Lauderdale was great you can see all the luxury houses with their private moorings well worth the trip. I would stay at the hotel we were only there for 2 nights on our way to a cruise but would def stay again

Everyone at the Lago Mar was so wonderful. Excellent service and wonderful facilities. The private beach was awesome. It was nice to have so few people around and not have to deal with a bunch of locals. We got upgraded to a suite which a nice surprise. The room had tons of amenities. The food was delicious.

We had a lovely time. Our family of seven went together. We hadn't vacationed together like that in years and this was resort was an intimate getaway. I want to thank Nicole for keeping beverages coming no matter where we were, beach or pool.

Very nice hotel, especially for it's age. Has a really nice resort feel to it, with everything you need to do at your footsteps. Beach, pool, golf, etc. Fantastic.

Rooms were very clean, hotel is very well located and staff were exceptional. Restaurant on premises were quite expensive but well located for other restaurants etc.

It was a very nice hotel. Would like to have stayed longer than one night. Was difficult to get the kids out of the wonderful pool! The staff was very attentive.

Awesome....very clean and well maintained property. No resort fees and plenty of parking. Staff was very friendly. We will definetly be back for an extended stay!
