We stayed over New Year. The staff were just great and had all the info about what was open and where to go. Room was clean and a good size but a little outdated - no flat panel TV here, a beige bathroom. Beds were comfy with good quality linens on them. Our room was on the ground floor and we could hear squeaky floorboards from the people in the room above every time they moved around - not enough to keep us awake but next time I would ask for a room upstairs. They had muffins and coffee in the lobby which has a fireplace, but there's no dining area or lounge area here. The location is great - right in the center of Edgartown

They went out of their way to make us feel at home. They made us a new batch of chocolate chip cookies (served nightly with milk) because the first batch was "crispy" and put out muffins before we left at 6am (even though breakfast doesn't officially start until 7pm). I recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!

Beautiful hotel with outstanding service. Cookies and milk before bed, and perfect coffee w/yummy muffins in the morning.Gorgeous furnishings in room and throughout the hotel. The News, on-site dining, was pub food at it's very best and was packed with locals on a Thursday night. Edgartown is the most picturesque, pristine village on the island. The Kelley House is truly the very best place to stay on Martha's Vineyard!

Fabulous location. Very nice, big comfortable room. Great service from front desk. No elevators, so a little challenge to get luggage up steep staircase. Otherwise one of our new favorite places.

This inn was a great, comforting surprise, like visiting relatives. I'd stay there again. Hospitable staff, updated, clean modern rooms with the amenities you need.

Well kept hotel in the midst of downtown Edgarton a block from the harbor. Great location, friendly staff, nice amenities including delicious muffins every morning. Only downsides we observed were that parking is hard to come by (3 satellite lots with only a handful of spots each) and the room was NOISY. Snores, sneezes, flushing toilets, drunk people arguing in the hallways come through the walls, ceiling, and floors. With earplugs these interruptions were negligible but if you're sensitive to noises, be warned!

Everything about this hotel was excellent. We had a very warm welcome on arrival and lots of information about places to visit and places to eat. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. We had complimentary muffins and coffee in the morning, which were delicious! The hotel is ideally placed near the harbour and everything is within easy walking distance, including the bus stop, where you can get a bus to anywhere in the island: if you purchase a day ticket ($7 in Oct 2012) you can have as many journeys as you want.

Enjoyed the stay and opportunity to bicycle on the island. Desk reception was warm, helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. Proximity to harbor made for beautiful walks and view of morning sunrise.

I really liked this hotel. It was an older hotel, but it was perfect in the Martha's Vineyard area. Just what you would expect. The parking was a little inconvenient, but it was right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. We just walked out the back, past the pool and the docks were right there. We also enjoyed the fresh muffins and coffee in the mornings and cookies and milk at night.

Clean, super quiet, serene. Spacious comfortable rooms, down to the last detail. The beds were really comfortable, the room had it's own thermostat and we slept like babies. The staff were terrific. This was the most restful vacation we've had in a long time.

Friendly staff & superior service! Bathroom floor could have been a bit cleaner.

Originally booked a "Bed and Breakfast" but on arrival learned they were not a B&B and did not offer breakfast at all. Also booked a room with a queen bed which we were informed they did not have any of so we got a double. after much discussion we were told that there were problems with the web sites and those were being looked into. we were finally given coupons for breakfast at another property a 1/2 mile walk away. Would not go back!

Excellent, very good service. The rooms are nothing facny; but this is improved by the service, and location.

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness/condition of this hotel. The location is fabulous and so is the curb appeal but that is where it stops. I did however read on other posts that the hotel needed updating so I was expecting some level of wear. I did not however expect the carpeting in the hallways and our room to be covered with stains as well as worn and torn. The bathroom shower curtain was molded on the inside bottom and the sides of the tub covered by the shower curtain were filthy. The bathroom vinyl floor was equally scuffed, dirty and worn. A container of cleanser would have be an easy fix. Neglect was evident everywhere. When we complained we were told that the hotel was "for sale" and that's why things were run down. Think twice before staying here. It is expensive and not worth the price.

Beautiful and very quaint! Location was excellent, right downtown, we walked to all the sites. Nice swimming pool with a great patio for evening relaxing. They also have a nice family restaurant, food and service was very good. The morning muffins and coffee or tea was. A Special touch and so deliciious. We would definately go back again to this charming place . Oh, almost forgot there is a local bus 2 blocks away that will take you to other areas on the island, very reasonable, much easier than driving yourself.

We found both parking lots full one late afternoon after a round of golf. You made dinner reservations for us as requested by us both nights. One night we had requested L'Otoile(sp?) at which we had eaten in other years while staying at the Kelley. FYI, its outside expansion has not been equaled by an expansion of their kitchen staff. A long wait. We will not request it again.

The hotel was fabulous. They were so helpful and continuously trying to help with anything that we needed. The location was perfect......right in the middle of everything in Edgartown. I would recommend this hotel definitely.

We were here right before the start of the summer season, it was still pretty quiet and right in the heart of the old town, next to the harbor and all the fish and seafood restaurants. Service was really good, and so the facilities. I'd totally recommend this place for a short stay (it has a pool for a chill out day!)

I was upgraded at the original contracted price and the staff went out of their way to extend the stay at the initial price for additional time, without requiring me to change rooms. They were both friendly and courteous, as well as prompt in attending to problems. Nice accommodation and extremely convenient to Chappy ferry; I will return.

Great location the staff were wonderful

My husband and I spent our first anniversary on the Vineyard. We stumbled across the Kelly House via an internet site and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The staff was fabulous and very attentive. They gave great tips on places to go and restaurants/pubs to check out. They were caring with their service. There was freshly brewed coffee and muffins in the morning and milk and cookies in the evening for those who wished to indulge. The fire in the front lobbey was always on which helpe iwth the chill from the weather. The only downside was that we could not access proper internet from our room on the 3rd floor but had no problems in the lobby, so the first evening I sat by the fire in the lobby to complete some work prior to starting our vacation. I would definitely return and would consider renting one of their cottages for a week or so. Thanks Steve and Charlotte for making our stay memorable!

Immaculate place, very convenient to the best of Edgartown, and the people could not have been nicer or more helpful. It does not have marble floors or anything like that, it's not deluxe, but a great place to stay on MV.

The Kelley House was the ideal place to stay and was close to everything including a bus stop with buses to all major towns. The most impressive thing about the hotel was the staff itself. Steve, Charlotte and Nikki really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Steve even hung a picture on the wall that my 2 year old son had colored for him. The cookies baked at night were delicious and they even made a batch of cookies early just so my son could have one before bedtime. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here when I return.

My wife and I celebrated our 13th anniversary! Our stay at the Kelly House exceeded our expectation! Steve the manager was very helpful with must see places and Resturants! I am ready to visit again! We had a great stay!

Everything at the Kelley House was top notch. Steven is a fabulous host and recommended fantastic restaurants. Will stay there again!!

Our recent stay was wonderful! Staff, hotel and location were remarkable.

Great staff, nice hotel, good coffee & muffins in the morning. No AC, but if you can get a breeze in the room it is ok. No elevator, pack light if you are on the third floor. Glad we stayed in the off season, place gets busy and the parking lot fills quickly, then the next parking lot is two blocks up.

The hotel is very clean and close to everything there is to do in Edgartown. The only drawback is that the walls are really thin - you can hear normal conversations in the room next to you. I think this is to be expected for a property this old. However, what really disappointed our stay was on the morning of our check out and there was no hot water and no apology was offered by the hotel staff. Other than that, it's a charming hotel with a pub/restaurant adjacent to the property. The fresh backed muffins and coffee in the morning are a nice touch, as are the warm cookies and milk in the evening.

kelley house is a very good place to stay..we had a great time..Manager steve was very helpful..we are planning for the next trip..

We loved everything about the Kelley House. We walked to the pub at night, biked from the hotel to the bike path, and walked out to the beach and lighthouse across from the hotel. The cycling is excellent, even in February, we cycled about 16 miles back and forth to Vineyard Haven. The hotel staff were warm and friendly. The muffins and coffee provided in the morning was excellent. Cookies and milk at 8 each night were great to come "home" to. Our room had everything we needed. A fridge, complimentary water bottles, and a water cooler near the lobby to fill them up. We definitely will return in the Fall.

Its a nice hotel. The room was quite good. They had a CRT TV and not flat screen. But thats ok. The location is good.
