Comfort Inn West - Mechanicsburg

Everyone was very pleasant, and I understand with the renovations going on that some of the motel is not what I am use to. But I am sure when finished the motel will be as welcome as any I have stayed in.

Bad experience. We booked through expedia and didn't get what we asked for. Needed 2 double beds and got one. Had to get another single room to accommodate us. Expensive. No TV in room 2. Altogether not so good.

the stay was terrible. they were under construction which you do not find out until i arrived at the hotel. no carpet and rough concrete floors. absolutely disgusting! the room stunk and i had no hot water. when complained i was told that they were under construction and some amenities were not available. come on no hot water.

Outdated hotel/room, bed OK, but pillows very old. Loud A/C heating unit.Room close to highway side of hotel-could hear traffic loudly throughout the night. Bathroom shower nice, very clean bathroom. Good customer service by staff. Only stayed one night for business trip, but would not have enjoyed my stay if I was there for an extended time.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, good location - just what I needed. I'd definitely stay again.

I was impressed. The hotel itself was pretty basic, a good value for the money. The service, however, was exceptional. I received a phone call from the front desk about 15 minutes after check in. They wanted to make sure everything in the room was okay and see if I needed anything. The next morning my son and I were greeted as we passed the front desk. They offer a good selection at breakfast and check constantly to make sure there is enough for everyone.

Hotel staff was friendly, the room just had a lot of miles on it. The shade didn't cover the whole window which left a beam of light shining on the bed. Nothing a well placed towel could'nt fix. In my opinon should not be your first option

Not enough shampoo for two people

This hotel is exactly what you expect when you opt to stay at a hotel. Not really anything that sets it apart from it's competitors, so it's a good choice for short-term stays. If staying long term, I'd personally prefer more amenities or enhancements, but overall, it was an average stay. Marked at a three in service because I feel that when you pay for service, the representatives should have an "above and beyond" perspective, however this was not apparent in the staff; any requests that seem 'outside of their pay scale' are out of the question. Quality and Comfort - mainly because my room was uncomfortably warm and the A.C. had little to no effect. I notified the front desk, but they had little to say about it. Again, average hotel.

Nice room, good location. Breakfast disappointing, but adequate. Still esolving billing question.

This hotel was great, we loved the stay and if we had been closer the next night we would have totally stayed again. The neighborhood was not touristy however it was buisness-like and felt safe. The bedand pillows were like heaven to sleep in - king bed. The bathroom was large and clean. The breakfast buffet was great, two types of juice, three types of cereal, two types of waffle batter to make fresh waffles. Plenty of protiens, egg and sausages and tons of pasteris and breakfast breads. So pleased. Every employee was really nice.

The interior is dated but acceptable. The only bad thing was the eggs on the breakfast menu were about the worst eggs we have EVER had. We do not know if there were really eggs at all. The rest was good. I found the front desk staff friendly and helpful.

We had a heck of a time finding a hotel - car show weekend! This was all we could find, but it turned out to be the perfect destination. Very clean room, kick-butt air-conditioner, housekeeper did a phenomenal job from day to day ... and the continental breakfast was WAY more than we anticipated. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here while my mother was at Hershey Medical it was 20 min. away but there are lots of restaurants near by and the rates were reasonable, everything near the hospital was booked and outrageously priced because of the amusement park. This hotel was clean and quiet, I would definitely recommend it even for going to the park even you don;t mind a short drive.

Older hotel in a commercial neighborhood. Beds were good. Bathroom needed updating. Breakfast was fair. Convenient location. Good rates.

I stayed one night and overall, the hotel was passable. The room decor is very dated; the wallpaper was circa 1970 and nearly comical. They should spend a few dollars and upgrade.....

The hotel and room were very clean. Our room was very comfortable. The hotel is located in a suburban commercial area, so you have to drive wherever you want to go.I would highly recommend the hotel if you don't mind that it is not walking distance to anything.

Attentive - the desk called the room after I checked in to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. Nice breakfast included in the morning. Room had a fridge and a microwave.

Older hotel that has been remodeled with decent accommodations ....the really only complaint I have with it was that they still allow smoking in the hotel -REALLY???!! That to me is crazy! I had a non smoking room that was at the end of the hall (quite a long walk) and had to walk by 20-30 rooms that were all SMOKING rooms! When the elevator doors opened it was like walking into a SMOKE WALL! It was not pleasant at all! Other than that, it was a really nice hotel and very inexpensive compared to all the others. My room did not smell like smoke though and that is why I rated the room higher. It was just the walk to my room that was miserable! Dont book your room on the third floor as I found out this is the only floor they allow smoking on.

This appeared to be a relatively new inn, rooms were clean, basic. Bathroom was was clean. Beds were firm pillows new. Would use again when in the area.

Neeed more choices of exercise equipment.

PROS: * Room is VERY clean. * Nice bathroom, plenty of hot water. * Windows actually open! * Fridge, microwave, coffee maker in room. * Excellent free breakfast provided in large, nice sunny room with very comfortable chairs. * Climate control has option for fan to say "ON" in a FAN-ONLY mode. Nice for folks that like white noise (like I do -- I can't sleep in a tomb!). CONS: * Very small room - like a hobbit hole without the "comfort". * Very small "full sized" bed. My wife and I felt like we were going to fall out of it all night. * Small room, but had a small couch for 2 people next to the bed rather than a bedside table! Only had one of those in the room. * HUGE dresser -- took up most of one wall! But only had 4 drawers. TV was on top of half of it. Overall, if you are a large person or good sized couple, this room was miserably small, you almost had to hug walls to walk around in the room. It was without a doubt the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Fortunately, it was merely a place for us to sleep for the night. If I had to stay more than one night I would have really hated it. Also, oddly, the main entrance required you haul your luggage down 8 steps. No ramp or handicapped options from the front door. You had to drive around to the back of the hotel to enter the hotel at lobby level. And that entrance is locked at 10:00 PM! If you want comfort, I would suggest going to another hotel. This was a clean and quiet hotel, but I could not get over the feeling of being cramped and squeezed into the hotel room the entire time I was there.

I was very pleased with the accommodations, attention and overall customer service.

Hotel was clean. The furniture and overall appearance of the hotel is outdated.

We had an enjoyable stay at the Comfort Inn in Mechanicsburg. The room was clean and comfortable but a bit smaller than the standard rate room. There were some shredded bits of paper on the carpet along the wall. We had breakfast downstairs in the breakfast nook. It was in a beautiful conference room and was amply supplied with food. I especially enjoyed the do it yourself waffle machine.

I was traveling with a dog and it was very easy- plenty of grassy area (especially in field behind) to walk the dog. My only complaint was that I asked for a room with 2 double beds and one of the double beds was a fold out couch. Not as comfortable as a regular bed- and when folded out there was very little room to move around than I normally find in a hotel room with 2 beds. Great shower- good pressure. Breakfast was waffles, toast, english muffins, donuts, cereal, eggs, sausage. Limited but good. Fine for a comfortable overnight stay on a long trip- good price.

This place was less than 10 miles from the Carlisle Fairgrounds so you could be there relatively quick. After a long hot day of walking the truck show it was really nice to come to a clean and COOL room. The air conditioning was working already and that was a welcomed surprise as most places keep it off to save money and then you have to wait for it to cool down. The area is good because it has a lot of stores and restaurants nearby but you are only 15 minutes from downtown Harrisburg and Bass Pro if you want to take a short drive. The breakfast was not over elaborate but was fine for my needs. Would definitely come back here again and would recommend it for anyone going to a Carlisle show.

I found the accomodations to be very nice and convenient to shopping and eating. The room was well appointed and clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I was even allowed to check in early so I didn't have to drag my belongings to the car show. And the parked was safe.
