Upon checking in to the hotel, the room we were given was dirty from the last people that stayed there. Once we got a new room, it had dried throw up on the wall, that I had to clean off myself. I reserved a king size room, and upon check in was told they don't have that kind of room. There was NO wifi available, the front desk told me that they don't ever had internet there and there was no continental breakfast either. There was no employee available to talk to Saturday morning. Our room was not cleaned by room service at all on Saturday while we were out for the day. Never staying here again!

I checked in and had to wait because my room had not been cleaned. Not a big deal. I went to dinner. However, my room did not get vacuumed. The worst thing that happen to me for the 1st time in a motel/hotel... that night was that during the night someone with a key enter my room. I said HELLO an they said sorry and left. What to do??? I went to the front desk , in fear that someone had a key to my room. They said there was a computer error and the man at the desk had entered my room. Why?? It think this is important. I am a single lady. This is very wrong and needs to be address.

There are a lot of things wrong with this hotel, particularly maintenance and housekeeping issues. The carpet was barely vacuumed in the middle of the floor - trash items under the table - and not vacuumed at all along the edges - there was a good inch wide strip of dust, dirt, crumbs, and general detritus along the walls and furniture bases. No hand towels. No latch on the bathroom door. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee or cups; in fact, no drinking glasses at all. The internet was "broken", and after reading reviews from a couple years ago, it's been "broken" for a long time. The continental breakfast was skimpy - cereal, coffee with coffeemate, and orange juice. We ended up walking over to the diner next door, which was cheap and great. Pros: The shower was hot, with great water pressure; the parking lot was large; it was quiet; I felt safe. And it was cheap. I think I'll pay a little more next time and find somewhere else.

The room was disgusting !! There were male leftovers over the bedspread ... Dried blood stains on the mattress the place looked like it hasn't been vaccumed in years , I was so grossed out and disgusted I would never recommend or advise anyone to stay here the place needs to be shut down

I would not recommend this hotel because the service was very poor. I had booked a king room but as soon as I entered it felt like a sub standard cheap hotel with unwelcoming view and location. I don't recommend this hotel.

The people at the front desk were friendly and helpful enough, but they didn’t have the type of room available that I booked, the internet service wasn’t working and when I went to take a shower the next morning, there was no water available in the room. The facilities were in a general state of disrepair. I travel a lot and stay in motels approximately 200 nights a year and this was one of the worst experiences in recent memory.

Man! Where to start? How about...what do you expect for a room under 45 bucks? You roll the dice and you take your chances. Nice room (some minor mechanical questions), but it was clean and furnished. No breakfast to speak of, (maybe just a bad day).

WHAT would you say to everything being "NO"? 1. NO internet, NO pillow cases on the pillows, NO linens to take a bath, NO toilet tissue in bathroom, and best part is leaving hotel and having all but NO Continental Breakfast. Would you stay ?? ,,,,,

I was looking for a place to sleep and that was pretty much what this was. Heat wasn't even turned on. Towels were filthy. Wallpaper above shower was peeling and moldy. There were spots of toothpaste and hairs on the bathroom counter. The room seems to not have been remodeled or deep cleaned in quite a while. Like I said, it was just a place to sleep.

Floor had not been vacuumed in days in the room. The clean towels were not. They were filthy. Only thing going for this hotel is its close to the interstate.

I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel. It met my expectation for what I paid but I did get 5 star service from Chris at the front desk.

Upon arriving the hotel was expecting me and it was nice to know there was no trouble checking in, however the room was filthy, there was no towels and it was terribly loud. It seems that something was wrong internally because a loud banging/clunking noise came from the walls. They said there was wifi but they seemed to be experiencing trouble that week with their internet connections. The bath tub looked as if they never cleaned it, and to top it all off employees of the hotel kept entering my room while I was there, and I'm sure while I was gone as well, due to the fact that one employee (I mean kid, he couldn't have been older than 19) informed me that he tried to go in my room because the computer said that the room wasn't taken. Needless to say I will never stay at that chain nor would I recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was good for the price, but the free breakfast is not really a breakfast at all...one of the employees told me that I should go next door for breakfast.

Well the free wifi didn't work, told the front desk and they had no idea how to fix it. The heat didn't work in the room so we froze all night. It was by far the smallest room I have ever seen. Called the front desk to complain about the issues and got a voicemail , which was never returned. The TV was very old, it had off color lines through the center of the screen and the remote barely worked. Room was close to the ice machine and every time someone got ice it was like leaving a spoon in the garbage disposal. I will never stay here again.

We were satisfied with our accommodations. It's not a 5 Star hotel nor did we expect to receive 5 Star service. For the price, the room was clean, the staff very friendly and approachable. It met our needs and we were more than pleased with our experience. The only complaint might be that the WiFi wasn't operable, but we were quite happy to have an excuse not to respond to emails, etc. We were in the area for a shopping trip and the location was convenient. I would definitely return.

When I checked in I was informed that the room I had booked, a king smoking, was not available. They made accomodations and I was very satisified with the room and the people who helped me. I had a nice stay while visiitng my sister in Maine. Not good for vacationing as it has few amenities but perfect if you need an affordable room to sleep in. I would definitely stay there again

Avoid like the plague. I was not expecting much. We needed a place to sleep after attending an event in the area and new we would not be there until late. Regardless of the rate, one would expect the room to be clean; that was not the case! There was mold all around the shower. The rug appeared to not see a vacuum in some time. The bed was awful and the pillows were only there for appearance; they were almost as thin as the sheets! We could not wait to depart.

Everything's above adequate except for location

We were very dissapointed with our hotel. I will actually NEVER recommend this to anyone.On arrival.Room was non smoking, but it smelled of smoke, Room next door and across the passage BOTH smoking room. This seems riduculous.Sheets smelled of perfume and looked like they had been slept in. Blankets dirty. No towels, had to wait for those each day.No-one came in to make up the beds or take dirty towels away.No tea/coffee maker. No help for any of this as they said they had no help there. It was the down side to our stay, which we had driven 10 hours to reach. I think this was Money NOT well spent.

No telephone in room, Wi-fi not working, towels were rationed at 2 small ones, no milk for cereals at breakfast, musty smell in room, cardboard walls, lights are low wattage. However, the desk clerk did his best to try fixing things. without him we wouln't even have had towels!

Room needs to be updated to cleaner standards.

The room was overall ok. There was a used wash cloth behind the dresser. Wire hangers from a previous guest in the closet, mold on the shower curtain and you could see the build up of soap scum in the shower. The beds were to firm for my liking but thats a personal preference.

The bathroom was full of mold, the shower curtain rod was broken and the curtain could not stay up, the wall-paper in the bathroom was peeling off, the fire alarm went off at 7h30 am and the firemen arrived (some troubles with the pipes..), our room door was left open ALL DAY by the maid after she cleaned up exposing our luggage to anyone while we were away for the day, for breakfast: you get warm milk, very bad coffee, warm OJ, cheerios and cornflakes...no toast as no electricity after the fire incident...and they are the only hotel I know who do not have peanut butter cups for the kids....apparently they can't offer that very basic thing due to allergies...I honestly think they can't afford peanut butter!! All this for the price of a night at the Sheraton!!! Insane....highway robbery....but we had no choice...it was the only hotel with a room that week-end and our camping gear was all wet.

The hotel room was dirty, no clean towels available until I went to the front desk to ask. There was a terrible smell in the hallways with left over food from fast food restaurants on the doorstep and inside the hallways.

Bed was really hard and pillows were really flat - great location for what we had planned and the price was reasonable.

We came to portland Maine for a good friends wedding. We chose super 8 for the price alone, but when we arrived at one o'clock we entered the lobby to dirty linens piled on the floor and a woman and her young daughter at the front desk eating subway. We were rudely told none of the rooms were clean yet and we could come back at 3, an hour before we needed to leave for the wedding. Once checked in, we got to our room to notice stains on the walls and no clean towels. The next morning at 8am we were awoken to fire alarms and had to stand outside for an hour for the fire department to check the premises. Once back in our room, we had no hot water for the next several hours and had to take a cold shower. We were not expecting anything special but this was rediculous! Very disappointed and will never stay again!

inexpensive rate. obvious cutbacks in housekeeping and maintenance. we requested no housekeeping because we were initially satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and also brought our own towels and linens. there was a communication break down betwen staff and housekeeping to honor the no housekeeping request because the housekeepers were russian on a temporary work program and did not understand. needless to say, our towels that we brought were picked up by houisekeeping never to be seen again, the staff did reimburse us with cash which did cover the value of the towels. the staff was friendly but seemed over worked and stresed with an overwhelming amount of complaints from their customers. did not even attempt to have the breakfast. there is no wifi available even though it is listed as such. a local advised us to travel to a nearby mcdonald's and access their wifi in their parking lot. the missing w in the welcome to super 8 was a case of foreshadowing at its best.

The hotel was very dated and the pool area and halls had an odour that wasnt pleasant at all. The complimentary breakfast was ok but no air conditioning in the dining area made it unbearable to eat there.

Please don't waste your hard earned money staying at this "hotel". What a dump. The staff is heavily overworked and can't handle all of the complaints. Our room was a disaster waiting for a significant remodel. We had issues with clean towels, plumbing, AC, Lighting, and a vital electrical outlet that didn't work. The women who work the front desk solo do what they can to help but their hands are tied and they don't work in the trades to solve these problems.

This hotel was terrible. The room had an overwhelming stench and was not clean at all. When we checked in, there weren't any sheets on the bed and the room hadn't been cleaned. I would not stay here again...would rather sleep in my car.

Very disappointed. "Non-Smoking" room smelled of smoke. Bathroom had peeling wallpaper that was moldy above the shower. Water stains on the ceiling and one light fixture did not work. Advertised free wi-fi.....no internet access during my entire stay and they had a different excuse each time I asked about when they expected it fixed.. When checking out I mentioned not having internet access and got a "Oh well...sorry.". Looked like the staircase to the second floor hadn't been vacuumed in months. When checking in I was told "when using those websites for your reservation you should always call the hotel to make sure they didn't screw it up because they usually do". The only good thing about this hotel was the location.

I arrived early by 1/2 hour. Nobody at the desk and I waited ten minutes. I came that half hour early as I was going to have to then check in after 10 PM and I wanted to put my stuff in the room before work. I went to work, came to check in only to be told all nonsmoking rooms were gone. I wondered, since I was prepaid, why I did not have what I asked or since hotels.com had what THEY asked for, I.e., my money. I told the poor kid at the desk I would try it. I went to the room and was overwhelmed at the smell of air "freshened" with smoke. I knew I would wake up sick, so I told the clerk I would not stay and I would drive the hour home on the back roads that get me there, even after eye surgery that makes night driving difficult. It was dangerous, but, since I had the choice of sleeping without the smell and headache that would have come or staying and being ill for early morning work, I spent the time, ate the expense, arrived safely by the next day paid the price in fatigue of the hour commute it. I hav been disgusted and underwhelmed. Wish I had better news and were not out the $$, especially since I was prepaid.

It was great, had a blast & decided to go north on suggestion of staff and enjoyed our stay in Maine even more

For location Ok, room needed to be cleaned, breakfast was??? A few packages of muffins, a loaf of bread, Some kind of cereal? this was 7 AM. Guests were coming into Breakfast room and there was no food there???Disappointed.J

Filthy hallways. Bed sheet was a flat sheet instead of fitted and kept pulling off. Shower did not drain. No internet. Wallpaper coming off in bathroom. Dirty towel left in bathroom. Ceiling falling off in stairs. Trash on floor in room. Dirty laundry piled up behing reception desk. place needs to be condemned,

Staff was fine I booked non smoking but was not accommodated room was not very clean location was ok and there's a great place To get breakfast next store. Stayed 2 nights wouldn't want to spend a week there.

Stayed for three nights, bed never got changed or made, don't think they were clean when I checked in. Towels never were removed from floor so ended with a pile of dirty towel, spoke to the front desk and nothing changed
